Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts
Chapter 49: He Is Qualified
Stepping out of the Business KTV, Lin Chu was actually feeling a little hungry. He remembered a barbecue spot nearby and suggested they go get a bite.
It wasn’t that he was in any particular hurry, though.
In fact, when a lot of guys take girls from the club out for a late-night snack, it’s mainly because they want to see what’s hiding underneath all that heavy makeup.
After all, in the dim light of a club, a Qiao Biluo could be made up to look like a Beauty Diao Chan.
That wasn’t his goal, however.
The lighting in their private room had been excellent, so he had seen them perfectly clearly.
Needless to say, he’d seen Fan Wanjun many times. She was a sharp little vixen at work, as delectable as a honey peach.
The lead dancer next to her, though she clearly had a surgically-enhanced face, was even more exquisitely crafted—the pinnacle of high-end cosmetic work.
The sitting fee for the eight of them was ten thousand each. That price tag alone said plenty.
"I can’t eat. I’m heading back. I’m about to puke..."
Lu Ming excused himself. He felt like the alcohol was already up to his throat; if he ate anything else, he’d be completely wasted.
Besides, he was leaving with a girl.
Lin Chu smiled and clapped him on the shoulder. "Go on, go on. Get some exercise to burn off the alcohol. Be safe."
Lu Ming was speechless. He let himself be helped into a taxi.
Liu Junfeng laughed as well. "I can’t make it either. I have to head back; the other party hasn’t wrapped up yet. I’m the host, so I still have to go settle their bill."
Lin Chu waved him off as well.
Li Kai clearly had a high tolerance for alcohol. He was barely showing any signs of being drunk and naturally had no intention of leaving, wanting to spend more time with Lin Chu.
Tonight had been a real eye-opener for him.
Looking around their circle, no one partied like this.
Spending a million in a night? Who would dare to splurge like that?
A "feast" like this was something you couldn’t get even on New Year’s!
"Brother Chu, you should really come diving with me. It might not be as wild as your parties, but it’s definitely not bad. The key is the scenery—it’s beautiful, right by the ocean. At night, we’ll charter our own yacht. The party on the boat will be all our own people, and we’ll even have a masquerade ball."
he invited with a smile, partly as a way of returning the favor.
’Hmm?’
Hearing this, Lin Chu pictured the scene and was somewhat tempted.
But he politely declined. "I’m mostly worried about safety. You know, organ harvesting, Southeast Asia... all very scary."
Li Kai replied, "There’ll be a big group of us, what’s there to be scared of? If you’re really that worried, just hire a couple of bodyguards, problem solved."
’Huh?’
Those words made something click for Lin Chu. An idea flashed in his mind.
’Bodyguards!’
’A perfect tool for spending money!’
’Having a couple of bodyguards would provide security, look impressive, and be a great way to spend money. It’s killing several birds with one stone.’
’It just goes to show, you have to get out and have fun to unlock new "positions." You never know when a random comment will spark a new idea.’
"We’ll talk about it tomorrow. I don’t want to think about it today."
Lin Chu replied noncommittally.
The group of seven soon arrived at the barbecue place.
Lin Chu, with a girl supporting him on his left and another on his right, drew plenty of stares. But people only looked, just like the onlookers of the past, and just like "Driver Xiaolin" himself once was.
They ordered some skewers.
They didn’t order any more alcohol.
Lin Chu ordered a bowl of pigeon soup to soothe his stomach.
He chatted casually with the two girls, occasionally getting handsy and teasing them, which drew a flurry of coquettish protests.
Lin Chu didn’t see that at a table behind him, several pairs of eyes had been locked onto him ever since he’d walked through the door.
It was a table against the wall.
Li Yaoyao, An Qingning, a guy, and another girl.
The four of them were eating skewers as a late-night snack.
They all saw it with their own eyes: Lin Chu walked in with a girl on each arm, sat down, teased the one on his left, and groped the one on his right. The key was that both girls were completely cooperative, smiling and chatting happily, even seeming to enjoy it.
A host of rather unseemly emotions instantly began to churn like a tempest in Li Yaoyao’s heart.
An Qingning was feeling the same turmoil.
After Lin Chu had ditched her last time, An Qingning had gone out of her way to apologize to her best friend. They jointly cursed him for being a scumbag and promptly reconciled.
And now...
The two exchanged a look, then pulled out their phones and started texting each other.
For the sake of their image, they obviously couldn’t say anything too crude in front of the guy at their table.
Li Yaoyao: "He’s so shameless. He’s disgusting now. How did he end up like this?"
An Qingning: "Exactly! He’s always been this disgusting. What a creep! Babe, you must have been blind to fall for him back then. Thank god you two broke up."
Li Yaoyao: "Those two girls are disgusting too. Shameless!"
An Qingning: "Yeah, yeah... Why don’t you go over and give him a piece of your mind?"
The two of them vented together, exchanging glances, but deep down, it didn’t feel as satisfying as they’d hoped.
Instead, they pricked up their ears, straining to hear the conversation at Lin Chu’s table over the surrounding noise.
Just then, Li Kai laughed. "Brother Chu, are you going to let me take that Lamborghini of yours for a drive sometime?"
Li Yaoyao: ?
An Qingning: !!!
’A Lamborghini?’
’When did Lin Chu buy a Lamborghini?’
’He... how could he possibly afford a Lamborghini?’
Lin Chu nodded with a smile, using the alcohol as an excuse to be exceptionally nonchalant. "No problem. Take it for a drive. Or hell, I could just give it to you."
Li Kai: ...
He let out a snorting laugh.
He pounded a fist on the table.
"Don’t be like that. I’m fucking... I really... Right now, I just want to say the same thing Brother Feng would."
He was truly, utterly speechless.
He even had a feeling that if he agreed, Lin Chu would actually give him the car.
Lin Chu said, "Heh. Fuck. ’Brothers are like limbs, women are like clothes.’ A car is even less than clothes—it’s like a pair of socks. You tell me, am I wrong?"
Li Kai’s prominent Adam’s apple bobbed, but he couldn’t help but nod.
When Fan Wanjun and the lead dancer heard this, they exchanged a seemingly nonchalant glance, but their faces remained wreathed in smiles.
’Saying that right to their faces was certainly disrespectful.’
’But...’
’He had the right to say it.’
’If he were to give them a Lamborghini, he could compare them to clothes, stinky socks, or even call them filthy whores, and it would be fine.’
’To hesitate for even a second, to show even a hint of anger, would be a sign of disrespect to the Lamborghini.’
A platter of crawfish was brought to the table.
Fan Wanjun and the lead dancer, one on each side of him, began peeling the crawfish and feeding them to Lin Chu.
Watching this scene...
At the back table, Li Yaoyao couldn’t sit still any longer.
"I’m tired. Let’s go."
All she could think about was how a certain man had never once let her peel her own shrimp. He had always peeled them for her, a true shrimp-peeling expert whose hands moved fast enough to keep up with her eating.
Hearing her say this, the guy at their table asked with concern, "What’s wrong? We still have so much left. You’re tired already?"
Li Yaoyao glanced at him, nodded, and snapped, "You eat it yourself. Pack up the leftovers if you can’t finish."
With that, she got up, hurried past Lin Chu’s table, and fled the restaurant as if escaping.
An Qingning quickly hurried after her.
The guy was left stunned.
’What was that all about?’
’Weren’t they perfectly fine just a minute ago?’
...
Lin Chu hadn’t even seen the two of them. Even if he had, he likely wouldn’t have cared.
Everything that came before was as if it had died yesterday.
Everything that comes after is as if it is born today.
