Li Jin followed behind Ye Qiu, insisting that he couldn’t just take Ye Qiu’s Spirit Stones without helping him break into the cave dwelling.

Ye Qiu did not refuse, just as Li Jin had not refused to take him to the Turquoise Pool Holy Land before.

"I’m saying, brother, there might be hidden dangers within this cave dwelling. You can’t be lucky every time. If you accidentally trigger some mechanism, you could easily lose your life here," Li Jin chattered constantly beside Ye Qiu, thinking it was better to act cautiously. After all, no one could say for sure what might be encountered in a cave dwelling left behind by a strong expert.

However, just as Li Jin finished speaking, he saw Ye Qiu shatter a mountain with a strike, and with a swift motion, grasp what was contained within it.

Li Jin touched his nose tip; he smelled the fragrance of the Spiritual Medicine Ye Qiu held in his hand.

He couldn’t understand how Ye Qiu knew there would be Spiritual Medicine hidden within the mountain.

What Li Jin didn’t know was that Ye Qiu had a pair of eyes capable of seeing through things, allowing him to perceive many hidden details. It was a withered Spiritual Medicine, sealed within the mountain, waiting to rejuvenate. Given another year or half, it would certainly sprout new buds. Ye Qiu tossed the Spiritual Medicine to Li Jin, turned back, and continued forward.

Li Jin was bewildered, wondering why this brother was giving him all the good stuff?

It was Spiritual Medicine, after all, albeit a withered one, but still of considerable value, given so easily?

Everyone thought this suggestion sounded good and began a collective assault, channeling all their attacks into the Formation. "Brother, it seems we might have to stop here too. This Formation is blocking us, making it impossible to enter. This cave dwelling adventure might just end here." Li Jin, standing not far away with Ye Qiu, watched the crowd’s actions but was convinced that if so many people couldn’t get past, they surely couldn’t either.

Ye Qiu, however, didn’t worry about whether they could pass; he overheard several discussions mentioning Xu Zhenzi as the one familiar with formations. It’s clear from the words of those in front that Xu Zhenzi is considerably knowledgeable about formations.

The Fog Slaughter Formation didn’t seem especially difficult to Ye Qiu. However, the fact that Xu Zhenzi didn’t clear it, shows Xu Zhenzi is quite shrewd; Ye Qiu had wondered whether someone skilled in formations would continuously clear them and allow others to follow him deeper into the cave.

Now it seemed, indeed, impossible.

It turns out Xu Zhenzi broke some formations as practice initially.

But starting from here, Xu Zhenzi didn’t clear the Formation and went through on his own, using it to block others. He evidently wanted fewer people passing through.

They had already witnessed many people unwilling to give up, who risked entering, only to soon cry out miserably, and then disappear.

This brought tremendous deterrence, making no one dare risk it easily.

The two squeezed to the front of the crowd, with Ye Qiu staring at the Fog Slaughter Formation before slowly walking forward.

"Hey, are you out of your mind? You’ll get killed," someone called out, seeing Ye Qiu still daring to enter the Fog Slaughter Formation alone, immediately warning.

Ye Qiu paid no heed, and as he was almost inside, Li Jin wanted to say something but ultimately gritted his teeth and chased after him. This brother had given him so much good stuff; how could he bear watching Ye Qiu seek death? Even if they had to charge, he would charge together to help Ye Qiu.

"I know him, he ascended the Turquoise Pool Immortal Platform."

"Wasn’t it said that he relied on others to ascend it?"

Whoosh, someone else rushed to catch up, and hearing this, many were moved, feeling perhaps it was worth risking a try.

In scattered groups, about twenty people followed after Li Jin, even surprising him.

Upon entering the Fog Slaughter Formation, the twenty or so people realized Li Jin was following the masked man.

At this moment, two beams of red light swept in their direction.

Everyone felt a chilling aura sweep over them.

"Danger!" someone exclaimed.

Soon the ground shook, and an enormous figure appeared before them, its body made of rocks and hollow eyes emitting red light, with massive stone hands tainted with blood.

Whoosh.

The stone monster slapped forth with one hand, inciting the tension of everyone there.

Ye Qiu stood alone in front of everyone, his head slightly raised, one hand behind him, motionless.

"Careful, brother!" Li Jin warned from behind as he tried to grab Ye Qiu and pull him back.

Yet as he reached for Ye Qiu, he grasped only air. Surprised, he looked up to find Ye Qiu had already flown into the air.

The stone monster felt provoked, directing its initially crowd-targeted hand to Ye Qiu alone.

"It’s over!"

Li Jin’s heart sank; Ye Qiu flying into the sky looked like he was becoming a target for the stone monster. The hearts of the other twenty individuals were also tight; they felt once Ye Qiu was killed by the stone monster, they would be next.

In that instant, some couldn’t help but regret rushing in on impulse, now finding it hard to escape, facing inevitable demise from the monster.

Then with a loud bang, all thoughts shattered as the stone monster fell over, with its massive stone head rolling several meters away, while the red light in its eyes gradually extinguished.

Everyone blinked in stunned realization—had they won?

At this point, Ye Qiu’s silhouette slowly descended.
