Supremely Talented Tyrant
Chapter 2076 - 2277: Fearful Escape!!!
Yellow Hair’s gaze suddenly caught sight of another henchman’s weapon, a thicker and larger iron rod. The one he just used on Baldy was already quite big, but compared to this one, it was nothing.
He had used the previous one and struck him seven, eight, nine times, yet Baldy merely gritted his teeth and endured it. This irked him; the more Baldy refused to submit, the more he wanted to make Baldy submit. Otherwise, he’d feel a restless sense of frustration that needed an outlet.
He glanced over and signaled to the henchman. That henchman hesitated for a moment; the rod was so big that even hitting someone with it required controlled force to avoid causing serious injury. However, seeing his boss’s determined look, there was no holding back when he struck earlier.
If this iron rod were used on Baldy, it might very well cripple him. So, when Yellow Hair signaled for the iron rod, he hesitated, a bit worried.
After all, the gang leader only called them here to teach Baldy a lesson and show the Axe Gang’s strength, threatening others in the neighborhood.
But if they truly crippled or seriously injured someone, it would be problematic. He paused, and Yellow Hair shot him a fierce glare. He understood clearly; if he didn’t hand over the iron rod, the beating might be directed at him instead of Baldy.
He dared not hesitate any longer, quickly running over to pass the iron rod to Yellow Hair. Yellow Hair held the rod, feeling its weight was more than twice the previous one, a smile spreading across his face. Inwardly, he was laughing, "Damn it, let’s see you withstand this, tough guy. Take this blow and see if you don’t submit."
He walked up to Baldy, chuckled, and suddenly shouted, "Kneel before me!"
The words caused an uproar in the crowd, especially among Baldy’s men. "Kneel to heaven, kneel to earth, kneel to parents. Who the hell are you to demand that I kneel?" Their boss endured humiliation for their sake. If he were forced to kneel before Yellow Hair, they’d feel guilty for a lifetime.
"Boss! Let’s beat him to death together!" When people are about to lose their minds, they become reckless. Though outnumbered, a henchman loudly shouted these words out of anger.
Yellow Hair wasn’t angry; instead, he was amused, even smiling slightly. He relished seeing their furious yet powerless expressions. It was the type of scene he enjoyed watching most.
Baldy’s face remained calm, but inside, he was turmoil. "Kneel to heaven, kneel to earth, kneel to parents. A true man kneels only to these." Torn internally, he understood Yellow Hair’s intentions. Yet, for his brothers’ sake, he had to consider giving up certain things.
But giving up meant kneeling, which was against his pride as a man, and he was conflicted, uncertain about what to do!
At this moment, Yellow Hair’s face showed a sinister grin. Fearful, huh? He thought he’d make them even more fearful. Casting a malevolent gaze at Baldy, he raised the iron rod, ready to strike.
The henchman who gave him the iron rod was shocked, and so were Baldy’s dozen or so henchmen. Yellow Hair aimed the swing at Baldy’s back of the head; if struck, it would likely render him incapacitated.
The head is a vital part, and the back is its vulnerable spot. A blow from a rod as thick as a bottle’s mouth would incapacitate anyone. Everyone was dumbfounded.
The rod swung down, Yellow Hair’s face twisted in ferocity. Baldy’s men readied to intervene, but they couldn’t move fast enough to stop the swing.
Yet, at this explosive moment, a shadow swiftly emerged from the night. It appeared so suddenly. Just as Yellow Hair’s rod was about to strike Baldy, the shadow intervened, and Yellow Hair’s arm froze.
It was mere centimeters away from hitting Baldy’s head, but it couldn’t move beyond that point. Yellow Hair’s hand was frozen, unable to move the rod no matter how much force he used; he tried harder.
Dazed, perplexed, he looked up, only to see a person standing before him in the darkness, gripping the rod. Yes, the iron rod he had swung with enough power to knock someone out, caught effortlessly by this person’s grip.
He was most surprised that even using all his strength, the rod wouldn’t budge. He wasn’t particularly strong, but he had some force and could fight. Yet, faced with this person holding the rod, he couldn’t move it at all.
He was in shock and bewilderment. But when he looked up, he realized that the person before him was that young man he encountered that night. Hao Jian.
That night, Hao Jian astonished him with his formidable strength, leading to his defeat. But he never expected Hao Jian to appear again tonight, and at such a critical moment. He was puzzled about Hao Jian’s intentions.
Others also noticed Hao Jian’s arrival. Baldy’s henchmen were visibly surprised, likely not expecting Hao Jian to show up at this crucial moment.
Baldy had felt the rod aiming for his head. He could dodge, but that would mean his brothers couldn’t escape. For their sake, he was willing to endure the blow. But suddenly, the wind of the rod stopped. He raised his head to see Hao Jian standing before him, gripping the rod.
He looked utterly astonished, not expecting Hao Jian to show up at this moment. Looking at the others, they all wore the same expression.
The iron rod was still in Yellow Hair’s hand when Hao Jian suddenly smiled and asked him, "Can you let go?"
For some unknown reason, even before Hao Jian finished speaking, Yellow Hair let go of the rod. Maybe it was because he’d seen Hao Jian’s prowess that night, so he was somewhat scared of him, especially at such close range, feeling an inexplicable fear.
As soon as Yellow Hair let go, Hao Jian snatched the iron rod back. The moment Hao Jian grasped the iron rod, Yellow Hair’s henchmen collectively stepped back several steps. Many of them had come with Yellow Hair that night and knew Hao Jian’s strength, so seeing him with the rod made them fearful.
Hao Jian laughed heartily, ignoring them, and instead looked at Baldy, asking, "Can you still stand firm?"
Baldy chuckled and replied, "Yes!"
With a brief exchange, Hao Jian turned his gaze to Yellow Hair. For some reason, the instant Hao Jian looked at him, he felt a deep fear.
"What are you going to do?" Although afraid of sudden action, he had over twenty henchmen behind him, and if he showed fear, he wouldn’t be able to command respect in front of them anymore.
So, Yellow Hair mustered up the courage, trying to appear calm as he asked Hao Jian.
Hao Jian smiled and said, "Not doing anything, just want to have a chat. How about you come a bit closer, I’ve got something to tell you."
As Hao Jian spoke, he moved his hand holding the iron rod. Seeing this, Yellow Hair swallowed hard. If he went closer, Hao Jian might just club him on the head with that iron rod. He managed to stay calm because he had over twenty henchmen behind him.
However, if he went closer and Hao Jian attacked, his henchmen wouldn’t be able to immediately stop it.
Thinking about it, he replied, "If you’ve got the guts, you come here!"
Hao Jian was taken aback: "Alright, then I’ll come over."
Saying that, Hao Jian started walking towards him. Yellow Hair, seeing this, was so scared that he quickly retreated a few steps, saying, "Stop! Don’t come any closer!"
Hao Jian paused, smiling as he stopped: "Weren’t you the one who told me to come over?"
Yellow Hair, trying to cover up his fear, said, "Just because I told you to come, you do? Can’t you have a mind of your own!"
Hao Jian didn’t expect Yellow Hair to be so shameless. He laughed and suddenly raised the iron rod and said, "Well, now my idea is to hit you. Are you going to let me?"
Yellow Hair, originally only backing away, was so frightened upon seeing Hao Jian raise the iron rod that he started running.
"Hahaha..."
Hao Jian burst into laughter.
Upon seeing their leader run, Yellow Hair’s henchmen also assumed a stance to run. But just then, Hao Jian called out to them.
"Hey! Don’t run! There’s so many of you, what are you running for!" Hao Jian shouted.
Still, no matter how loudly he spoke, no one responded to him. Originally brash, Yellow Hair’s group fled in a flash, disappearing without a backward glance.
They were just too scared, not knowing where this formidable person came from, wielding an iron rod. Not running would be foolish.
