Standing behind the witch, Ye Duo eyed the two bamboo bags of herbs fearfully.

Earlier, that Beastman Warrior had screamed like a pig being slaughtered after eating the herb. She wanted nothing to do with it.

’I’ll just get a few of my male admirers to make the potion later. All that matters is that the potion gets sprinkled, right? Does it really matter if I made it myself?’

’I am the esteemed Witch Disciple. How could such a disgusting insect possibly crawl on me? I’m protected by my witch power; the Beast God will watch over me.’

After the witch finished his instructions, he turned directly to Wu Yue. "Wu Yue, you will teach everyone how to prepare the potion with this herb and how to sprinkle it afterward."

Wu Yue nodded and stepped forward.

Before she could even speak, a series of cheers erupted from the Beastman Warriors.

Teng Qian and Teng Kun were the most enthusiastic of all, along with the other Beastman Warriors who had hunted Fierce Beasts and even traveled to the Black Wolf Tribe with her. Wu Yue gave them a wide smile.

Then, she began her earnest explanation.

Since this concerned the tribe’s next generation, the tribespeople listened intently, asking questions whenever something was unclear.

Ye Duo’s expression, however, was incredibly grim.

’I thought the witch would have given a task like this to me, especially since it involves herbs.’

’But I never expected he would give the job to Wu Yue, leaving me, his own Witch Disciple, to just stand here and watch.’

"Wu Yue, you don’t know anything about herbs. Will the potion you’re making even work? If it’s different from the one the witch makes and can’t kill the Poisonous Insects, we’ll all be holding you responsible."

Ye Duo’s voice was piercing; she was practically shouting.

Wu Yue stood up and looked at her. "Then what do you suggest?"

Ye Duo lifted her chin smugly. "The witch certainly can’t be expected to do this himself. It should be entrusted to me—someone who possesses witch power and also understands herbs."

Wu Yue chuckled. "You don’t know a damn thing. Give you an inch and you think you’re a ruler."

With that, she splashed the pot of potion directly onto Ye Duo.

When Wu Yue had turned to face Ye Duo moments before, she had spotted Poisonous Insects on her—and quite a number of them, too.

It seemed the Poisonous Insects didn’t just favor young Beastman Warriors; the young Witch Disciple was no exception.

The tribespeople were no longer surprised by Wu Yue’s actions.

They had figured it out: the young female was usually quite easygoing, but her tolerance dropped to zero when faced with a deliberately provocative bitch... ahem... female like Ye Duo.

However, the crowd’s expressions of enjoying the show vanished in the next second. A series of piercing hisses erupted from Ye Duo’s body, and everyone’s faces changed completely.

The sound was remarkably similar to the death cry of a Poisonous Insect, just as the witch had described. Which meant...

In an instant, all eyes were fixed on Ye Duo.

For once, she was the center of attention, but Ye Duo couldn’t feel a shred of happiness. It felt like something was tugging at her from all over her body, and she couldn’t help but think of what the witch had said about the Poisonous Insects.

Her face instantly turned ashen.

"Witch... Witch, save me! I’m still young, I don’t want to die!"
