Chapter 307: For myself (10)

Apparently, Luke also could make the replica disappear by using the original, but he would lose all the mana invested. That was the only downside of risking not attacking a planet that had other life forms aside from monsters. In any case, when Luke finished charging the crystal, many options appeared before him, options of worlds that he could access with the crystal. The names were quite random, and he couldn’t see anything aside from that. Rem-9, Ocestis, Kr0v4s, Bilain... Luke wondered why some names had numbers instead of vocals... In any case, it was necessary for him to do some tests and see what he could do that could help him and his home planet. He would need all the help he could get, after all. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Luke chose a random planet and ends up going to Rem-9. He felt the same sensation that he got when Rina and Shalia teleported them, but that was just a minor detail since he saw himself in the middle of a dense jungle. Luke was used to the heat and cold, but even the humidity of that place made him sweat quite a lot... Still, he forgot about that when he began to feel the ground shaking, and then some massive gorillas showed up. They were three meters tall and quite bulky, so they made Luke recall one of the monsters that Luke saw in Rina’s words. Their strength wasn’t something to laugh at, with their sizes, a body slam probably could turn most foes to a pulp.

Those creatures could even use magic, so they couldn’t be taken lightly. If Luke remembered well, the other species was called Armored Gorilius, so it was clear that they didn’t come from, at the very least, the same area. Regardless, Luke fired Stone Cannons at the faces of those monsters, and they had the balls to use their arms to block them. In the end, their arms got crushed, but Luke wasted some extra time. Their defense was quite something, or maybe Luke needed to improve his magic powers, it has been a while, after all. Still, that would be troublesome.

You obtained 50 experience points.

You obtained 50 gold coins.

The crystal obtained 328 mana points.

Luke frowned when he saw those notifications. He didn’t expect that he would get all the mana of the monster... It wouldn’t be hard to make all his skellies come to that world at that rate. Their strength was basically the same as the gorillas. Still, as long as they stayed together, it was hard to imagine them losing any battle. Just to be sure, Luke waited for a while, and even though some gorillas came, they never came in groups larger than five...

"You can’t assume that this world only has this type of creature here," Rina said.

"Who cares about that," Shalia said. "No one sane would live in such an area."

Shalia had a point, but Luke jumped high in the air and rose above the forest, and confirmed that it was dozens of kilometers long. It would take a while before his skeletons leave the area. They follow simple commands, but they probably could stay near the crystal and then send back the loot that they might find. Still, Luke stayed there for a while and gathered enough mana until the crystal could send fifty of his skeletons. Once he returned, he went to talk with Aivern again.

"By the way, can those creatures return if I give them the order to do it?" Luke asked.

"You can give them the commands, but you will need mana for each transference," Aivern replied. "You can’t see things on the other side, but the crystal will glow in red if one of them is killed."

That would serve as a warning, but Luke wasn’t sure if the dark elves would leave their world now when the enemies still were out there. Speaking of enemies, Luke was wondering for how long they would wait... He wished that he could attack them instead of waiting for the attack, but that was impossible since they were in space. In any case, the more time they give Luke, the stronger Concentrated Strike will become, but Luke is worried about the timing of the battle. He wasn’t exactly a lucky person, so he could imagine those overlords and Frank attacking his fortress at the same time. Luke was thinking about what to do to prevent problems with that, but nothing came to mind.

"Which reminds me... I didn’t do any training for fighting underwater," Luke said. "I guess I will have to try that now."

"Speaking of which, do you known the master of the sahuagins is?" Shalia asked while Luke was preparing a pool with his magic.

"She is also an ally of Drork and the others," Aivern replied. "While is a bit of a loner if compared to others. She is even more troublesome because of her mind and her skills underwater. As far as I remember, she never lost to anyone aside from the Legendary overlords."

That seemed like a problem... but Luke knew how he could deal with that woman. He had to bait her by approaching the ocean and then fighting her minions there. If things get messy, he could bet that the other overlords would join the fray as well. Things might get messy, but Luke couldn’t see a better alternative to that situation, considering that Frank was on the move and might attack his other fortress at any moment.
