Surviving the Apocalypse While Being Tempted by an Elf and a Dark Elf
Chapter 350: Acquaintance (3)
Luke’s katana, embedded with tons of mana, froze the air around him and created something similar to an ice shield, and repelled some of the power behind the red giant’s punches. Still, his speed decreased with each of the attacks. He also felt his bones cracking, but Luke didn’t stop. He kept going because it was do or die now.
Eventually, Artheim healed enough to punch with both arms, so his attacks began to destroy the area with each one of those. His aura also grew more powerful to the point that even the wind and leaves that approached began to burn. His body also began to emit a lot of heat. Most likely, he never put himself under such strain, but he didn’t stop. While feeling like his punches were ripping apart his own muscles, Artheim kept attacking.
At some point, Luke, while enduring that barrage of attacks, thought that he wouldn’t reach the enemy. Little by little, he began to lose the strength of his arms while they were cracking. Still, the idea of him losing before he could cut Aivern head enraged him and made him activate Berserk and Rage. Thanks to the damage he suffered, the boost in status was almost of the same level, and suddenly he charged even faster than before.
In the end, Artheim punched with both arms at the same time. Creating a vacuum in front of him that destroyed everything between him and even the and that Luke hit preciously. Still, despite that, it didn’t stop Luke... Stinger made him approach the red giant, and the katana easily pierced his left chest, reaching all the way to the side. Once that happened, the blast of the attack behind Artheim created a massive ice wall that was ten meters long.
"That was a fun fight," Artheim said before he became an ice statue.

Luke sighed in relief as he felt his body being recovered due to the continuous level-ups, but then his mana vanished, and then he began his body hurting all over. As expected, making his muscles obtain power beyond his current limits would cause that kind of problem. In any case, he obtained a new and unexpected ability. Still, he had the feeling that it would take a while to become useful.
In any case, Luke decided to return to his dimension to heal faster since his body was hurting like hell to the point that he fell to the ground and couldn’t move an inch. He didn’t want to let himself be that vulnerable, after all.
Beastly Summoning: it grants you the power to summon monsters that you have met and analyzed. The level of the monster will be determined by the level of the skill, and the more powerful the monster, the more mana you will consume.
That solved the problem of Vampirism in that dimension. However, a mana clone won’t be able to use it since it doesn’t have a proper body and it doesn’t need health. Nevertheless, Luke would feel a bit bad about using summoned monsters only to hurt them. Still, he wasn’t in a position to be picky about how he could become stronger.
In any case, when Luke was feeling a bit better, he began to work on making the next mana clone. His support skills leveled up a lot in the fight, but he needed them to become even stronger. Even with all that mana, he still had a hard fight against the red giant, and that was unacceptable. Still, he had to use the mana clones in one way or the other... It would be better to get and use all of that mana in battle.
Regardless, to make sure that the job would be finished a bit earlier, Luke put some points into Focus. It has been a while since he did that, after all, so it was fine. After he did that, Luke wondered how crazy the red giant was for having twelve thousand points in focus. Luke wished that he could obtain his crazy skills, but they were probably too expensive.
In any case, thanks to the extra focus and the fact that Rest was much better than before, Luke finished the mana clone in what seemed to be a week. It was hard to measure time correctly in a place where time doesn’t pass, after all.
Once Luke returned to reality, he found his skeletons and the demi-humans hunting the giants who didn’t know what to do now that their master had been defeated. The war was on, but a lot of giants still were walking around that continent. Luke could get some experience and gold coins from that, but he decided to move on as soon as he got all of his skeletons.
"Still... I suppose I need to at least inform Helrom of that," Luke said and then sighed.
Thanks to his massive army of skeletons, the battles ended after just two days. Since they headed toward the same places, it was easy for Luke to pick them up. Once the war was over, the demi-humans began to celebrate right there, even though some were wounded and covered in blood. Some of them even approached Luke despite his unfriendly face and the fact that he clearly didn’t want to party and kind of forced him to drink their weird beer. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"I suppose this will work as a goodbye. They already know what they should do," Luke thought.
When night fell, the demi-humans made a big bonfire in a place a bit far away from the battlefield and then continued their party. Luke just watched everything in silence and drinking in moderation. He could afford to take the night off, but not the day off as well...
