Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s
Chapter 2493 - 2486: Are You Willing to Go with Me?
"Yes." Ji Chuan paused what he was doing, poured Yan Huan a glass of water, and placed it on the table. "I need to go home for a bit. There’s something going on at home."
Yan Huan and Ji Chuan had known each other for quite some time, but she had never heard Ji Chuan mention his family or parents before.
This was the first time she heard Ji Chuan saying he was going home.
"Is it okay if I ask what it’s about?" Yan Huan asked.
"Are you showing concern for me?" Ji Chuan sat next to Yan Huan with a smile, his beautiful eyes gazing at her. "If you say yes, I think I’d be very happy."
"I guess so." Yan Huan didn’t hide her feelings. "We’ve been together for so long. You’re suddenly leaving, and I feel a bit empty inside."
"WOW!" Jason walked over with a cup of coffee, messing with his hair which looked like a bird’s nest. "So, does this mean you have some feelings for our Ji Chuan? Then, let me ask you both a question. When are you planning to get married?"
"I’m always ready. It depends on Yan Huan. I wonder when I’ll have the honor to make Yan Huan my bride!" Ji Chuan said very straightforwardly.
Hearing this, Yan Huan’s cheeks turned slightly hot.
"Yan Huan, do you need to think about it? If you’re willing, perhaps I can stay to witness a wonderful and unique Chinese-style wedding." Jason said with a laugh.
"I think I should focus on getting better first." Yan Huan neither flatly refused nor agreed.
To Ji Chuan, this was already significant progress.
Hearing Yan Huan say this, Jason suddenly remembered something: "I’m sorry, Yan Huan! During the two days Ji Chuan is away, I also plan to take a little trip. We can pause the treatment for a bit."
"Is that okay?" Yan Huan had never engaged in psychological treatment before, and she wasn’t sure if pausing the treatment would nullify any progress made.
"It’s okay. You can also think about it intentionally on your own. Why do you have such an aversion to blood? I think if you can figure that out, you might be able to completely overcome the issue." Jason explained.
"Jason, you could actually stay and give her a few more treatments." Ji Chuan hoped that when he returned, he would see significant improvement in Yan Huan’s condition.
"Aren’t you worried that once you leave, I might steal your sweetheart? As they say around here, two single people under one roof..." Jason wouldn’t entertain such potentially misleading situations.
"Good point."
"Then I’ll wait for you to come back before I continue." Yan Huan calculated the time. "I’m afraid by then, I won’t have that much free time."
"Why not go with Ji Chuan to Jiangning?" Jason suggested, taking advantage of the situation for his good buddy. "It’s a chance for you to get out a bit, see if our treatment helps your condition. Also, Ji Chuan’s mother is ill, and since Ji Chuan treats you so well, it’s a good time for you to visit and see his family."
"I... to Jiangning?" Yan Huan was taken aback.
"Would you like to go with me?" Ji Chuan actually wanted to invite Yan Huan to go with him.
His parents, although not pressuring him over the phone, hinted at their desire for him to get married soon.
Perhaps it was a good idea to bring Yan Huan back with him this time.
He’s determined that she’s the one, the woman he intends to marry for life. It would be nice for his parents to meet her sooner rather than later.
