Synthetic Wizard
Chapter 277 - 178: You Wish!
[Under external attack, urgently increase the defense array strength!]
[50%...60%...80%...]
[Activate the spell towers... Activation failed, all spell towers are destroyed!]
[Maximum energy for the defense array activated!]
In the midst of battle, Sunan suddenly heard the mechanical voice from the blob, which made him frown with doubt.
External attack?
Who did it?
The crowd of onlookers without keys?
Judging by the words of that auxiliary intelligent being, the intensity of the attack seemed not low. It shouldn’t be possible for just a group of Level 2 Wizard Apprentices and Legendary Knights to achieve that, right?
"Well, whatever, it benefits me anyway, just as well to consume more of the Starry Sky Tower’s energy."
Sunan muttered, refocusing on the current battle in front of him.
In the hall, two secret puppet girls were fiercely engaged one-on-one with two Dark Golems.
The two sides were evenly matched, exchanging attacks back and forth.
On another side, five Refined Gold Golems led dozens of elite Steel Golems, besieging one Dark Golem.
Although they seemed to be losing slightly, it didn’t look like they would be defeated any time soon.
Sunan himself faced a Dark Golem.
To conserve spiritual power, he used only magical items and bloodline marks.
After more than twenty intensive strikes from the Claws of Calamity, the Dark Golem was riddled with wounds, covered in scars.
Sunan then activated the Qi Blade Mark on his hand, countless sharp Qi Blades howled forth, instantly tearing the Dark Golem to pieces!
Compared to the multi-skilled Level 3 Wizard Apprentices, the Dark Golem was relatively easier to deal with.
Having taken down his opponent, Sunan immediately went after the second Dark Golem.
One by one, in less than twenty minutes, all four Dark Golems were wiped out.
Having dealt with the Dark Golems, the blob’s virtual image not far away immediately fell silent, saying nothing. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Sunan chuckled, knowing that this auxiliary intelligent being had run out of tricks.
Strictly speaking, the defensive force of the Starry Sky Tower wasn’t weak.
Whether it was the eighteen spell towers or the numerous golems, they were enough to easily crush any Level 3 Wizard Apprentice.
But it just happened to run into someone like him who was totally buffed.
Even the builders of the [Dark Throne] who constructed the Starry Sky Tower probably never imagined this situation would occur.
Another fortunate aspect was that the battle took place inside the tower.
If it had been outside the tower, with the protective array shielding it, destroying the spell towers wouldn’t have been so easy, and he would have had to pay several times, even dozens of times the price, to possibly break through the Starry Sky Tower’s defenses!
As he pondered, Sunan suddenly felt the talisman stone inside his robe lining heating up slightly.
He immediately realized something, and without hesitation, he threw the talisman stone out.
Sure enough, the next moment, the talisman stone abruptly vanished from sight.
"You want to expel me because you can’t beat me?"
Sunan laughed derisively.
"You really think highly of yourself!"
[Wizard Apprentice, we will waive your trial fee, please leave the Starry Sky Tower immediately!]
The blob’s mouth opened and closed, making a sound.
Sunan ignored this inflexible low-level intelligent being, surveying his surroundings.
It was clear now that the Starry Sky Tower couldn’t handle him, so next he had to think of ways to acquire resources from the tower.
Having paid such a price to crush the Starry Sky Tower’s defenses, if he didn’t find a way to get something back, he would be at a loss.
Activating the Floating Skill on his robe, Sunan lifted off the ground and flew towards the nearest metal door, waving his hand, he blasted the door open with over ten magic missiles.
However, behind the door was only a small Puppet Factory, presumably a place for golem maintenance and charging.
Sunan wasn’t disappointed, continuing to explore other metal doors.
As expected, most of the rooms behind the metal doors were small Puppet Factories, except for the largest metal door which led to a relatively small hall.
The floor paved with white jade was inscribed with a mysterious array.
Sunan studied it for a few moments, quickly confirming it was an Otherworldly Creatures summoning array.
The previous Goliath was likely summoned using this array.
Seeing no gain on this level, Sunan turned his gaze to the floor, with a slight mental command, a Metal Storm surged forth, crashing into the floor!
Boom!
Even with a protective array drawn on it, the floor, harder than Magic Refined Gold, could only withstand the full attack of the Demon Pattern Core for over ten seconds before shattering with a huge crack.
Sunan leaped into the gap, arriving at the level below.
Before him was a hall identical to the previous level, but entirely empty.
"Is this also a trial location?"
Sunan searched around, finding nothing, then continued digging downwards.
But in exploring twelve more levels down, each one was the same hall, and all were empty.
Sunan wanted to keep going down, but this time encountered extremely strong resistance.
After careful observation, he found the white jade floor surface emitting a faint glow.
"Defense array... does this mean it’s the bottom level?"
Sunan was slightly disappointed but had to shift his focus upwards, returning to the initial hall and manipulating the Metal Storm to blast through the ceiling.
Again, it was a trial hall.
This time he pierced through seven levels straight up, and on the eighth level, finally reached a tower floor that seemed to be a residential area.
Sunan paused, gazing at the gap below, deep in thought.
"Seeing it this way, the trial halls should only number twenty levels, roughly corresponding to the number of people entering the Starry Sky Tower."
"But why is there no one in these halls?"
