Teaming Up with My Enemy to Rule the Apocalypse
Chapter 163: If You’re a Man, Kill Yourself
The moment Felix Foley kicked her out, he regretted it.
He was in this situation all because of Autumn Lynch.
He shouldn’t have just kicked Autumn Lynch out. He should have killed her!
Nothing less would sate the hatred in his heart!
Felix Foley looked at Sierra Sullivan. "Hand her over to me!"
Sierra Sullivan looked back at him, confused. "What did you say?"
"I said, hand her over to me! You hate her, too, right? Just give her to me. I’ll kill her for you, and then we can settle things between us!"
Hearing Felix Foley’s words, Sierra Sullivan found it laughable, but also a bit curious.
’How can he even say something like that?’
’What in the world is going through his mind?’
’Even with all the hatred between me and Autumn Lynch, there’s no way I’d hand her over to Felix Foley!’
After what happened last time, Sierra Sullivan didn’t trust anyone.
’If I handed Autumn Lynch over to someone else, she might find a way to survive.’
Sierra Sullivan would only be at ease when Autumn Lynch died by her own hand.
Autumn Lynch, however, saw Sierra’s expression and misunderstood her intentions.
"Cousin!" Autumn Lynch looked pitifully at Sierra Sullivan. "We’re cousins! Blood is thicker than water! If I did something to make you unhappy before, Cousin, just tell me, and I’ll change! Please don’t hand me over to Felix Foley, Cousin!"
"Cousin, we grew up together. You know what kind of person I am! You know I could never do something so vicious! Felix Foley did all of this! I tried to talk him out of it, but he wouldn’t listen to me at all. Now that things have gone wrong, he’s trying to push all the blame onto me. You can’t believe him, Cousin!"
Hearing Autumn Lynch’s words, Felix Foley glared with such fury it felt like his eyes would split open.
"Autumn Lynch! You bitch! It was your idea to raise zombies in the first place! You led the men to do it, and now you want to pin it all on me? In your dreams! If I’m going down, you’re coming with me!"
Autumn Lynch didn’t even look at Felix Foley, keeping her eyes fixed on Sierra Sullivan. "Cousin, don’t believe him. This man is no good; he’s already killed so many people! Cousin, just kill him. Death would be too good for him!"
Sierra Sullivan, "..."
’I never expected this!’
’To think I’d get to watch a dog-eat-dog drama before I even had to make a move!’
’No wonder they say adversity reveals true character.’
’It really is true!’
’They might not be husband and wife, but they were giving a perfect performance of "every man for himself when disaster strikes"!’
Sierra Sullivan watched the two with great interest, no longer in a hurry to act.
’Entertainment is scarce in the apocalypse. Watching these two is pretty amusing!’
Someone else shared Sierra Sullivan’s thoughts: Jayce.
Jayce even shifted into a more comfortable position to watch.
Just then, Autumn Lynch spoke again.
"Wait, don’t fall for it! Felix Foley is just stalling for time! He just smeared zombie blood on your friend’s wound! He wants you to watch your friend turn into a zombie with your own eyes!"
"What?"
The expressions on Sierra Sullivan and Jayce’s faces changed instantly, and they whipped their heads toward Nathan Thorne.
One look confirmed it. Nathan Thorne’s eyes were closed, his forehead was covered in cold sweat, and his complexion had taken on a grayish-blue tint—a clearly unnatural color.
’Damn it!’
Sierra Sullivan cursed internally.
She had been so distracted by Felix Foley’s antics that she hadn’t noticed something was wrong with Nathan Thorne.
But just then, Felix Foley burst into laughter. "Only noticing now? Too late! If I’m going to die, I’m taking him with me! You’re the ones who killed him! You can spend the rest of your lives regretting it!"
At this point, Felix Foley was nearly delirious. After saying this, he roared with laughter, doubling over.
Looking at Felix Foley like this, Sierra Sullivan felt nothing but disgust.
A disgust so profound she didn’t want to waste another word on him.
Perhaps sensing the coldness in Sierra Sullivan’s gaze, Felix Foley grew nervous.
But he wasn’t ready to accept his fate.
"Don’t listen to that woman’s nonsense! That’s not how it happened at all! She was the one who captured your friend, and she’s the one who made me turn your friend into a zombie!"
"You’re lying!" Autumn Lynch shrieked. "I just captured him! Infecting him with the zombie virus was your decision! You did it yourself! Everyone here saw it with their own eyes! They can all testify!"
"Who?" Felix Foley raised an eyebrow. "Who can testify?"
The only one who could testify was Nathan Thorne himself, but he was now unconscious and obviously couldn’t testify.
As for the others, they were all his men.
How could they possibly betray him, their boss, to testify for Autumn Lynch?
As Felix Foley thought this, a smug smile spread across his face.
But in the next moment, Felix Foley heard someone say, "I can! I can testify!"
Immediately after, a second person spoke up.
"Me too! I can also testify! Felix Foley did it himself!"
"That’s right! Felix Foley has lost his mind! He wanted to see what would happen to the Crystal Core in a Superpower User’s brain after they turn into a zombie!"
"Felix Foley has already killed so many people! We were all forced to follow him! If we didn’t, we’d all be dead! We just don’t want to die!"
"Please, kill Felix Foley quickly and save us!"
Everyone in the room had turned against Felix Foley, pushing all the blame for everything onto him.
It was as if Felix Foley alone could commit every evil deed in the world, and that all of them had been living in fear of just him.
Felix Foley stared at them in disbelief. He never imagined that things would take such a sharp turn and end up like this.
These men had lived the good life following him.
But now that there was trouble, they had betrayed him at the first opportunity, looking like they wished they could kill him themselves.
Felix Foley’s gaze swept across each of their faces.
"Good! Very good! You’ve all really impressed me!"
Watched by Felix Foley like this, some of them avoided his gaze out of guilt.
But others were completely unafraid.
"It’s come to this, Felix Foley. Stop being so stubborn and just confess already!"
"Yeah! You’re a man, aren’t you? Act like a man and own up to what you did!"
"Felix Foley, it’s useless no matter how much you struggle. You’re going to die sooner or later anyway, so why not make it dignified and just kill yourself!"
"Suicide?" Felix Foley repeated the word. "If I die, you’ll all feel safe, won’t you? Because then I won’t be able to expose you! In your dreams! None of you are innocent. Which one of you doesn’t have the blood of innocent people on your hands?"
