When Sierra and Jayce arrived on the tenth floor, the security door at the top of the stairs was wide open.

Before they even got close, they could already see the shadowy figures of people.

They must have heard their footsteps, because everyone turned to look at them at the same time.

Among so many people, Sierra only recognized Dominic Crawford, so she gave him a slight nod as a greeting.

Just then, Kevin Everett walked out from a room.

After scanning the crowd, Kevin Everett spoke. "Everyone’s here, so we can set out. My requirements for you are this: first, ensure your own safety. Second, bring back as many supplies as you can. This mission will be led by Jayce and Sierra Sullivan. You’ll follow their commands and are not to act on your own. Is that clear?"

"Loud and clear!"

The group replied in unison, their voices echoing in the stairwell.

Kevin Everett nodded in satisfaction. "Good. Then move out!"

As he finished speaking, Kevin Everett looked over at Jayce.

He didn’t say anything, but the concern in his eyes was completely unconcealed.

Jayce flashed Kevin Everett a brilliant smile. "Dad, don’t worry! We’ll definitely come back safe and sound! And we’ll definitely bring back tons of supplies for you!"

Hearing this, not only was Kevin Everett not reassured, he even shot Jayce a glare.

’This damn kid!’

’Is he trying to piss me off on purpose?’

’Are supplies what I want most?’

Although he grumbled internally, Kevin Everett ultimately said nothing, just nodding. "Alright, head out!"

Jayce and Sierra led the way, with Dominic Crawford and his people following behind.

The group made their way down the stairs.

They didn’t stop until they reached the underground parking garage.

In the underground garage, three vehicles sat with their headlights on.

These were the three vehicles prepared for them.

Although they looked like ordinary vehicles on the surface, Jayce had already told Sierra that they were anything but. They were built from special materials and had been modified after the apocalypse.

They weren’t just extraordinarily sturdy; their performance was also enhanced.

Even though the sand on the surface outside was already very thick, making it impossible for normal cars to drive, these vehicles could still travel as if on flat ground.

For everyone here, having a vehicle like this was like having an extra life.

At least when they couldn’t win a fight, they could still run.

Looking at the three vehicles, Sierra felt a little more at ease.

Each vehicle could seat seven people and had a trunk.

But the trunks were only of normal size; you couldn’t fit many supplies in them at all.

Of course, they weren’t relying on the vehicles to transport supplies.

They were relying on people!

There were two Space Ability Users in their team.

At first, Sierra had thought Space Ability Users were very rare.

But she learned from Jayce that of the more than one hundred Superpower Users currently in the base, a fifth of them were Space Ability Users.

In other words, their base had at least twenty-odd Space Ability Users.

The Space Ability Users that were so rare in novels were so common here that they felt like a dime a dozen.

However, they were different from the Space Ability Users in novels.

The Space Ability Users in the base had a very pure type of ability.

They were essentially invisible, intangible backpacks.

This "backpack" would grow larger as their Superpower grew, allowing them to store more things.

However, this space could neither preserve items nor be used for attack.

Other than storage, it had no other function.

They were basically walking warehouses.

The only advantage was that even for newly awakened users, the space was relatively large.

Take the two Space Ability Users with them, for example. Each of them had a space that was twenty meters in length, width, and height.

A single story of a building is only about three meters high, so twenty meters was even taller than a six-story building.

That space was, in fact, quite large.

Not to mention, they had two of them!

If they could fill up the spaces of both these Space Ability Users on this trip, they would absolutely be returning with a full haul.

Before setting out, Sierra and Jayce had already discussed their destinations.

Their first stop was a canning factory, followed by the flour mill next door.

If all went smoothly, those two factories alone would be enough to fill up their storage spaces.

And if things didn’t go smoothly...

Sierra shook her head, driving the chaotic thoughts away.

’It has to go smoothly!’

’It must!’

Jayce noticed Sierra’s movement and looked at her with concern. "Sierra?"

Sierra shook her head. "I’m fine. Let’s go!"

Jayce nodded. "Alright, then—"

Before he could finish, the sudden sound of a car horn blared.

In the underground garage, the sound was incredibly piercing.

Hearing the noise, Jayce and Sierra instinctively looked toward the source of the sound.

Facing the blinding headlights, they could see several people walking toward them.

As they drew closer, Sierra could see who it was.

It was Hugo Cheney and Autumn Lynch.

Following behind them were several other young people, each with their chin held high, looking incredibly arrogant.

After a moment, Hugo Cheney and Autumn Lynch came to a stop.

Though it had only been a few days, Autumn Lynch looked much better.

Her haggard expression was gone, replaced by a fair complexion, rosy cheeks, and even her eyes were bright and dewy.

A closer look revealed that Autumn Lynch was wearing a natural makeup look.

It had to be said, the look was genuinely good on her.

It made her appear even more innocent.

Autumn Lynch blinked her big, innocent eyes. "Cousin, are you also leaving the base for a mission? What a coincidence! We’re going too! Where are you headed? Let’s go together! There’s safety in numbers!"

"No, thanks," Sierra refused flatly. "With you, I’m afraid I’d die even faster."

Autumn Lynch immediately put on a hurt expression. "Cousin, how could you say that about me?"

Before Sierra could reply, Autumn Lynch started laughing. "Oh, I get it. You’re just kidding! Cousin, you’re becoming quite the comedian!"

Sierra had never intended to play the part of a loving sister with Autumn Lynch.

She wasn’t even willing to pretend.

She still remembered, with perfect clarity, how Autumn Lynch had tortured and killed her in her past life.

’Act with Autumn Lynch?’

’I’m afraid I’d disgust myself to death.’

Sierra just stared coldly at Autumn Lynch. "I’m not Hugo Cheney. I’m not buying your act, so save it."

Hugo Cheney immediately flared up. "Sierra Sullivan, what did you say?! Don’t you dare be so shameless!"

Jayce condensed a ball of water in his hand and hurled it directly at Hugo Cheney.

Unable to dodge in time, Hugo Cheney took the water ball straight to the face.

"AHH!"

Autumn Lynch shrieked, her face filled with worry. "Hugo, are you alright?!"

Hugo Cheney forcefully wiped the water from his face and glared furiously at Jayce. "Jayce, are you out of your mind?!"

"Your mouth is filthy. I was just giving it a wash."
