Chapter 146: Jersey City
He wasn’t sure as another tension arose. Three men from the Black Warriors emerged from the Lamborghini but John wasn’t aware what next, their steps slow and deliberate, as if they had all the time in the world. Each one moved with the grace and precision of seasoned martial artists.
The first man, tall and broad-shouldered, had a hawk-like gaze that that could send shivers down the spine. His attire, a deep black cloak that flared slightly at his feet, made him appear larger than life. His hands were wrapped tightly in worn leather bands, evidence of the countless battles he may have fought.
Beside him, the second man was slimmer, but his movements were fluid, like water flowing effortlessly. His long hair, tied back in a neat ponytail, swayed with every subtle motion he made, hinting at a dangerous agility that could spring into action at any moment. His smile was thin, cold, as if he found amusement in the chaos around him.
The third man was shorter than the other two but build in his muscles . His thick arms bulged beneath his simple black tunic, and his fists clenched and unclenched as if eager for action. A jagged scar ran across his cheek, marking him like a man who had faced death and survived.
The three men who had hijacked John and Laura, they ones from the Brown Warriors, were growing restless. They had underestimated their new opponents, and it was beginning to show.
Their leader, a gruff man with an unruly beard and a permanent scowl, gritted his teeth as he sized up the situation. His two comrades shifted uneasily, clearly rattled by the calm demeanor of the Black Warriors.
The tall man from the Black Warriors spoke first, his voice a low, menacing growl. "You made a mistake coming here," he said, cracking his knuckles as though preparing for the fight ahead.
The bearded leader of the Brown Warriors sneered, trying to regain control. "We don’t care who you are. Step aside, or we’ll make you. Why are you blocking our way, who do you think you’re. F**ck.
But even as he spoke, doubt flickered in his eyes. He was trying to intimidate them, but it was clear the three Black Warriors were beyond fear.
Without warning, the slim, ponytailed man struck. His movements were lightning fast. He dashed forward, delivering a series of rapid punches to one of the Brown Warriors. Each strike was precise, targeting weak points on the body, and in seconds, the Brown Warrior was gasping for breath, stumbling backward in shock.
The bearded leader yelled something incoherent, drawing a long, gleaming blade from his coat. With a snarl, he lunged at the mountain-like warrior from the Black Warriors, hoping brute force would overcome skill.
What followed could only be described as pure chaos. The mountain-like warrior caught the blade with his bare hands, his thick muscles flexing as he twisted the weapon out of the man’s grasp and flung it to the side.
However, with a swift motion, he brought his massive fist down onto the leader’s chest, sending him crashing into the ground with a dull thud. The sound reverberated in the air, almost comically, as though the ground itself had winced.
The fight had barely begun, but already it was clear the Brown Warriors were outmatched.
Meanwhile, the tall man with the hawk-like gaze was focused on the remaining warrior from the Brown Warriors. The opponent, a wiry man with quick reflexes, tried his best to land a blow, but every punch was met with an effortless block.
The tall man was playing with him, dodging and deflecting with such ease that it was almost as though he was dancing around his opponent, a ballet of violence.
As the chaos were going on, one of the Black Warriors, the slim one, approached the car where their innocent captives were tied up. Laura, her face bruised from earlier, looked up at him with a mixture of defiance and fear. She had seen what these men could do and wasn’t sure if they were there to save or harm.
The slim warrior knelt down, his expression softening slightly as he began to untie the chains that bound her. He worked quickly, his movements efficient, and within moments, the chains fell away. "Stay close," he muttered, his eyes scanning the area, always alert for the next attack. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Just then, the man who had been bound next to her broke free, thanks to the third warrior. He stood, stretching his sore muscles and preceeded to unlock John who joined the black warriors.
John moved with a speed that took even the Black Warriors by surprise. His punches landed with precision, and though his martial arts style was less refined than theirs, there was a raw power in his strikes that gave him an edge.
The fight continued, with punches, kicks, and throws exchanged in a flurry of motion. At one point, the bearded leader director of the Brown Warriors tried to make a break for it, hoping to escape while his men were still engaged.
Nevertheless, he didn’t get far. The mountain-like Black Warrior caught him mid-step and, with a casual flick of his wrist, sent him flying back into the dirt. He landed face-first, groaning in pain.
There were moments of absurdity woven into the chaos. At one point, the slim Black Warrior slipped on a patch of mud, nearly losing his footing, but managed to recover just in time to deliver a spinning kick that sent one of the Brown Warriors crashing into a nearby treeb untill it shook of the dry leaves. Hehee!
In another instance, the mountain-like warrior, after easily dispatching one of his opponents, turned to help his comrades but was momentarily distracted by a piece of paper floating in the wind. He swatted it away like an annoying fly, his expression one of mild confusion.
"Focus!" the tall man with the hawk-like gaze barked, glaring at him.
"Right," the mountain muscled replied, shaking his head and returning to the fight, though there was a brief chuckle in his voice.
Laura, now free from her chains, stood on the sidelines, watching the fight unfold. Her heart raced, not just from the fear of what had happened but from the thrill of watching these men move with such deadly precision. She had never seen anything like it, and despite the danger, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe.
As the fight wore on, the Brown Warriors were clearly losing steam. Their movements became sluggish, their punches less effective. The Black Warriors, on the other hand, seemed as fresh as when they had first appeared.
They were toying with their enemies right away, dragging the fight out just enough to prove a point but not so long that it became tedious. John was told to relax by one of the black warriors.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of punches, kicks, and near misses, the Black Warriors decided to end it. The tall man with the hawk-like gaze delivered a final, bone-crushing blow to the bearded leader, sending him crashing into the ground, unconscious. His comrades, seeing their leader defeated, quickly surrendered.
Breathing heavily, the Black Warriors stepped back, surveying their handiwork. The Brown Warriors lay sprawled across the ground, beaten and bruised, their pride shattered along with their bodies.
John and Laura, who had then joined the Black Warriors, exchanged a glance, their expressions a mixture of relief and uncertainty. They were free, for now, but what came next?
Just as the men from the brown warriors surrendered, the tall man from the black warriors uttered. "I know who send you to hijack this innocent people, the message to him is that, he is treading on a dangerous path. Our boss is rid of him already."
The other men sneered at the dieing men on the ground, bleeding from there faces and fractures allover their bodies. Actually, the things they had encountered was a surprise. They didn’t expect to have a such a difficult turn of their deal.
After a moment of silence, the tall man instructed John and Laura, "Get inside the vehicle, we will drop you to Jersey City, after there you sought yourselves, okay?"
John and Laura nodded in agreement as they entered the slik Lamborghini. They sat in the comfort back seat despite of the pain that was grilling in there bodies especially John.
"In Jersey City make sure no one interrogates you, right?" The tall man kept on insisting and giving out instructions to John and Laura but didn’t elaborate much on why he was too much warning them.
These place seemed strange to both John and Laura but on reaching out on the outskirts of Jersey City, Laura remembered being there before in her childhood. And just that way, they were alighted upon reaching the city.
"Wait, let me give you something," John hurried reached out his phone in the pocked, but the tall man waved and drove off at a supersonic speed," We came to save you for free, stay safe....!"
