"..."

After hearing the Despicable Donkey, Ling Feng could not help twitching at the corner of his mouth.

If he encountered a Human Emperor or an early-stage Great Emperor among the devilkin, he could still fight. Anything beyond that would put him in serious danger.

On top of that, this place lacked even the slightest trace of the world's spiritual energy. His elemental force could not recover, so his strength was affected. For now, he could only rely on the Void Eye and hope it was enough to intimidate the devilkin here.

He took a deep breath and picked a direction at random, then sped forward.

Yet along the way, everything was barren. There was not a single devilkin in sight, not even a stray demonic shadow.

After traveling for about half a day, even Despicable Donkey could not hold back and jumped out of the Five Elements Heavenly Palace again.

"This isn't right. The Devil Domain is vast, but it shouldn't be this empty."

A hint of confusion showed in his eyes. This space felt like a dead land, with no living presence at all.

"Could it be that even devilkin can't survive here?"

Ling Feng voiced his guess.

"Impossible!"

The donkey's voice rose sharply. "Devilkin are known for their tenacious vitality. Even if they die, Great Devils can revive through their flesh after thousands or tens of thousands of years. True experts among them are almost impossible to kill. At best, they can be sealed and slowly worn down over time. Creatures like that wouldn't fail to adapt to this environment."

He paused, then his eyes suddenly lit up with excitement.

"Kid, we didn't fall into the Devil Domain. We landed in a space between the Devil Domain and the Xuanling Continent!"

"What's the difference?"

Ling Feng rolled his eyes. He did not know much about space-time and planes.

"There's a huge difference! Most passages that directly connect the Devil Domain to the Xuanling Continent were sealed by the Immortals during the ancient God-Demon War. If we had really fallen into the Devil Domain, even with the Realm-Piercing Shuttle, bad luck could trap us there for life. But in a space like this, it's much easier to find a way out. Even if there are devilkin here, they won't be too strong."

"I think I get it. This place is like a secret realm. As long as I find the gateway, I can use the Realm-Piercing Shuttle to return to the Xuanling Continent."

"That's about right! Hah, kid, we don't need to rush out anymore! This place is barren and lacks spiritual energy, but it has minerals unique to the Devil Domain. Take Illusion Crystals for example. They're worthless here, but outside they're incredibly valuable. If we're lucky, we might even find a fallen Great Devil's core!"

"Enough, Despicable Donkey. At a time like this, you're still thinking about treasure?"

Ling Feng shot him a look, already fed up with his greed.

"As long as life goes on, treasure hunting never stops. Ignoring treasure brings heavenly punishment!"

Despicable Donkey lifted his head proudly and spoke with complete seriousness.

Ling Feng shook his head and ignored him. He quickened his pace and activated Boundless Vision, scanning for any life within range.

After another long stretch of time, Ling Feng finally sensed a few life signatures. Through the images returned by Boundless Vision, he saw four or five massive bone wolves surrounding two devilkin clad in black armor.

One of them looked somewhat human, while the other was massive and wielded a huge spiked club. He was fending off the bone wolves as they lunged in, shouting loudly.

From a distance, Ling Feng could make out fragments of his voice.

"Master, go! I'll hold these beasts back!"

"Those bone wolves are demonic beasts?"

Ling Feng narrowed his eyes and glanced at Despicable Donkey. "Are there demonic beasts in the Devil Domain too?"

"Of course. Even in the greater Devil Domains where high-tier Devils from Beyond reside, there are demon races. If not for their poor reproduction, the demon races would dominate every plane."

Despicable Donkey crossed his forehooves, looking extremely pleased with himself.

"Look at you getting smug!"

Ling Feng pursed his lip, then shot forward toward the battlefield. If he wanted to understand this place, he had to deal with the devilkin. Since he had finally found two who could speak, he could not just watch them die.

In a flash, he arrived.

One of the bone wolves seized an opening while the club-wielding devilkin was occupied with three others. It lunged toward the smaller devilkin behind him, aiming straight for his throat.

Just as it was about to bite down, its skull shattered instantly.

Its body twitched, then broke apart, scattering into a pile of bones.

The remaining bone wolves howled and grew even more ferocious. Abandoning their original target, they all charged at Ling Feng.

The two devilkin were overjoyed at the sudden rescue. But when they saw Ling Feng clearly, both were startled.

A human?

Or a high-tier devilkin?

In this kind of small domain, there should not be any high-tier devilkin with such a noble bloodline.

The higher the rank of a devilkin, the closer their appearance resembled humans. Only slight differences remained in their eyes and skin. Take the devilkin empress Ke Weili as an example. Without knowing her identity, anyone would take her for a human beauty with an exotic charm.

While the two were still uncertain, Ling Feng smiled faintly. A purple glow flashed in his eyes as he activated the Void Eye.

In an instant, a dark crack tore open in the void. Several tentacles shot out and wrapped around the bone wolves. Ling Feng stepped forward and crushed each of their heads with a single punch. The fight ended in the blink of an eye.

"Summoning void beings... that's something only high-tier devilkin can do!"

Both devilkin immediately dropped to their knees.

"Thank you for saving us, my lord!"

Ling Feng raised a brow and examined them.

The club-wielding one had strength around the late Human Emperor level. The bone wolves were roughly equal in strength, but their numbers had nearly overwhelmed the pair.

The other devilkin clearly had a more noble bloodline, though he was still young and far weaker.

"Hmph! Devilkin who nearly die to such lowly beasts have no right to call themselves warriors."

Ling Feng let out a cold snort and adopted an aloof, superior tone. From what he had seen, devilkin valued bloodlines greatly and carried immense pride. If he was going to pass as a high-tier devilkin, he had to act the part in every detail.
