Chapter 118: Spell it out aloud!

Alexander almost stormed in his room, nearly kicking the door open. The guards who were standing guard outside his room looked at each other confused. He raked his fingers through his hair for the nth time today proceeded by a hiss. He was itching to kick or punch anything...or someone. His fists clenched damn hard at the thought. He really needed to clear his mind right now or else... Maybe a cool shower would do.

And with that in mind, he threw his jacket on the hanger and began untying his robes, his mind swirling with the thoughts of his mother. How could she keep such a secret away from him for so long. He deserved to know who he was but she went ahead to hide the fact for twenty plus freaking years. And she expected him to retain his calm? Hell that was not possible.

And to add salt to injury, she had gone as far as to burn a letter designated for him by his father. And his father...he sneered at the thought. He was no lesser of his mother’s madness. They were both at fault here. Why would he tell him when he was dying. Was he too scared to tell him the truth when he was alive? Damn it! He needed to calm down.

Throwing the bad thoughts at the back of his mind, he wrapped a towel around his body and headed for the bathroom. He stepped into the tub, the cold water enveloping his muscular body. The cool sensation settled on his being giving him the feeling he so yearned for, yet it was not calming his thoughts, just his burning body. Damn it! He cursed, slapping the water.

"Wanna spill all the water in the floor?" Came the annoying question. Alexander shifted his gaze to the source to the source of the voice. A smirking Lord Richard stood there as he watched Alexander, arms over his chest.

Wait? When did Lord Richard enter? Was Alexander deaf..blind or something. And why didn’t he knock? Since when has Lord Richard ever respected your privacy? He questioned his sanity.

"What do you want?" He asked choosing to ignore Lord Richard’s probing gaze on his half nakedness.

"I think I should be asking you that?" Lord Richard said walking further into the room, a glass of wine in his hand. Hell the guy even served himself wine?

"What do you mean?" Alexander asked scrubbing the dirt off his body.

"I’m talking about the war Alex. I’m sorry I was not there for you when you needed me. But from now on, I promise to offer you my full support," he said spreading his hands.

"Okay," Alexander nodded simply tilting his head to one side.

Lord Richard creased his brows. Was that all? He had expected Alexander to at least tell him to organize the army but this... What the hell was going on in his mind? Was he fine to begin with? He took a closer look at him and hell he knew he was not alright. His usual calm face was nowhere close to what Lord Richard had imagined.

"You need a bath as well, my Lord," Alexander said letting his gaze travel a disheveled Lord Richard’s length.

"I’m fine your... Majesty," he said but instantly froze when he saw his reflection on the full-length mirror in Alexander’s bathroom.

"On second thought, I really do need one," he added smirking at his reflection on the mirror. "I guess I’ll be on my way then." He placed the glass of wine on the floor, an old thing for a Lord to do, and walked started walking out of the bathroom when...

"Did you do it Lord Richard?" Alexander’s question resonated in the bathroom making Lord Richard instantly freeze in Hus tracks. He turned around damn slowly that it almost hurt, a worried expression planted on his face.

"What do you mean Alex? What did I do?" He asked even though he somehow new the answer to that question, and it scared him. What was with that look on his face? Hell no! It couldn’t be what he was thinking, could it?

"Don’t pretend like you don’t know what I’m talking about, my Lord," Alexander said with a smirk that disappeared as fast as it had been flashed.

"I don’t know what you are talking about Your Majesty. If you don’t mind, I have a bath to take now," he said pointing at the door while retreating, his back facing the door.

Alexander just smirked evilly at that. Seems what he was thinking was indeed true. If not, why was Lord Richard acting this way even before Alexander asked the burning question.

Lord Richard finally reached at the door while he was still flashing a wry smile at Alexander but hell wait... He tried to pull the lock but all in vain. He was certain he didn’t lock the door when he stepped into this room. Why...how comes then that the door was locked now? He tried to pull the handle again but it was all in vain. His heart began beating erratically with every passing second. Was this Alexander’s doing? Oh no! If that was it, then what he dreaded the most was just about to happen. But wasn’t this what he wanted all along, to be nothing but honest with Alexander? But why did it feel so wrong?

"It won’t open unless I want to," came Alexander’s voice, shuddering every fibre of Lord Richard’s body to the core. How was he even going to face him. He had a gnawing feeling that Alexander knew the truth. Otherwise, why would he act this way? Was this his end? Would Alexander really forgive him? He had comitted a sin unworthy of forgiving, especially from Alexander.

"So we are here again, my Lord. I’ll ask this one more time. Did..you..do..it?" He asked stressing every word this time making Lord Richard shudder in fear.

"I don’t know what you are talking about Alex," he said trying to be the guy in the dark. Alexander sighed, probably tired of his pretence. Did he really want him to spell it out aloud? If that was so, fine then. It was as easy as opening his mouth and scoffing some words.

"Did you fuck my mother?"
