Chapter 202: Aroused

Alexander didn’t mind the fact that they were in the hallways kissing intimately. Her heavenly taste had clouded his canal desires, his tongue roaming in her mouth. Could he ever get enough of her?

Isadora curled her toes as he expertly held her face closer knocking the air out of her lungs. She had to admit he tasted good. Lord! How she had missed this. This, coupled with his scent, completely shut her mind. Never for once did she consider that they were in the hallway.

"Ahem!" Came a voice from behind Alexander.

Though he was reluctant to break from the heated kiss, he turned to face her anyways. Isadora looked down in embarrassment, her cheeks flushed pink.

"What a surprise Mother!" Alexander said, forging a smile.

"It indeed is," Victoria answered in the same manner. "I didn’t know my son and the Crescian queen were in love."

Isadora wanted to protest but Alexander had everything under control. He ran his tongue over his lips, her insatiable taste still fresh.

"Now you know." He narrowed his eyes at her. She didn’t seem thrilled by the situation as she claimed.

"But you are betrothed to Roselyn, remember?"

"And when did that happen?" He asked, slightly irritated.

Victoria forced a smile. "You can’t remember since you lost your memory."

A frown settled on both Isadora’s and Alexander’s faces. The fact that Alexander had lost a part of his memory was well known to both of them. But Alexander wasn’t stupid enough to know she was taking advantage of the situation.

"If that’s the case, I was betrothed to Isadora." He turned to face a confused Isadora. "Right?"

God! This situation was tricky. She looked at Victoria whose coy smile had already fallen only to be replaced with a cold look that made Isadora swallow. Putting her in a pedestal she could not have control over drove her mad. All eyes were on her, each party anticipating for the answer.

"Yes! I am betrothed to Alexander." She finally answered, avoiding Victoria’s gaze all the while.

"And when did that happen?" Asked Victoria.

"When..." She began with a stutter, giving Alexander a quick glance, but he said nothing. "When I was still a maid."

Victoria’s face glowed in surprise. That meant she was betrothed to Alexander even before he lost his memory, or even before his father’s demise. Clever! She knew it was false but they were five steps ahead of her. Nothing was working in favor of Roselyn.

"If you’ll excuse us mother, we were doing something before you interrupted," Alexander said grinning from ear to ear. He was just good at being rude. Though the statement was sarcastic, Victoria knew he meant every word. He was her son after all.

Embarrassed by the whole situation, she left with her head low but with jaw ticked. The whole idea of Alexander kissing Isadora didn’t settle well with her. She had to find Roselyn before it was too late.

"That was so creative of you," complimented he. And assuming a playful face, "shall we pick up from where we left?"

Isadora had lost count of the times she had blushed in a day. But she was never going to fall for his tricks again. Not now at least when her aunt was in the infirmary. She needed to be by her side.

"I’m sorry but I have to go?" She said, offering an apologetic smile. She could see his jaw tick and before she could move a muscle, he caged her with his hands on the wall.

"Do I disgust you this much?" He asked looking at her eyes. A cold demeanor had enveloped him that it made her swallow in fear.

"No," she answered, trying much to keep a straight face at his intimidating gaze.

"Then why are you leaving?" He tilted his head to one side. "Don’t you like me?"

Isadora’s heart felt heavy all of a sudden. Did he think she hated him? A rage like no other filled her and before she knew it, she had already slapped him across the face. Surprisingly, he liked it!

"I just don’t like you Alexander. I love you. How dare you think otherwise?" She tried to free from his small cage but her efforts were infutile. Alexander hugged her tightly until she mellowed in his embrace.

"I love you too Isadora," he whispered in her ear. "You’re the best thing that ever happened in my life. All those days you were away from me, I felt like living was a hell of a ride. But whenever I’m close to you, holding you in my arms, I feel like this is my destiny. You are my destiny Isadora."

Isadora’s heart raced in a whirl of emotions. Every word he had uttered echoed in her mind like a mantras recitation. His warm breath against her skin sent the ripples sparking again but this time, in a aphrodisiac wave. She broke from his embrace cupping his face with her hands. His features were sharp, coupled with a flawless skin that made him look somehow feminine. Could she ever get enough of him? Her fingers roamed his face and settled on his lips. She pouted hers slightly while running her fingers on his.

"Kiss me!" She said in a low but audible whisper. She didn’t see how maniacally Alexander smiled because in one swift move, he hauled her closer that her breasts were pressing hard on his chest. The air around her had heated up to unmeasurable degrees and only he could cool it now.

She closed her eyes tightly anticipating for him to take her to heights she had never been before. He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and bent close, so close that she thought he was going to kiss her but....

"I think we should visit your aunt." She felt him loosen his grip around her and started walking away. Damn it! She cursed. He definitely did that on purpose, didn’t he? She didn’t notice the evil smirk that lighted his face while he walked away. God damnit! He just walked away when she was this aroused!?
