Princess Taihua looked for quite a while but didn’t see any token, so she finally tried climbing onto one of the cauldrons to look inside.

Suddenly, a mass of gas burst out from within, scaring her into hurriedly backing away.

The white gas transformed into a dragon shape in the air, swirling around her body swiftly.

She thought it was the temple’s prohibition, readying to summon a Dharma Laksana to counter it.

To her surprise, the gas touching her body actually gave her a sensation akin to bathing in Spiritual Energy.

It darted its head into the underground tunnel and vanished without a trace, leaving Princess Taihua standing outside the main hall, face to face with the stationed Thousand Bull Guard soldiers.

She waved her hand with a dry laugh, "Good morning everyone!"

A soldier leader curiously asked, "Princess, how come you’re here?"

Princess Taihua improvised, "I was tinkering with a formation at home out of boredom. Who knew it would transport me here? You all carry on, I’ll be leaving now."

She took small steps, speaking as she was about to slip away.

This leader and the other soldiers exchanged glances, clearly not wanting to let her leave.

A group of them raised their long spears, quickly blocking her escape, and immediately reported the matter to Empress Wu in the Daming Palace.

With her head hung low, Princess Taihua was soon summoned by Empress Wu.

Outside Chang’an City, a man in black robes, wearing a mask, sat in a dilapidated temple drinking wine.

A big black dog burst in, barking at him, "Master, it’s done."

It spat out a Storage Ring, handing it to the man in black robes.

The man in black robes grasped it, exploring the ring with spiritual power and easily dispelling its restrictions.

However, inside, the ring was empty, nothing at all.

He fixed his gaze on the big black dog and bellowed, "You useless creature!"

With a flick of his hand, he struck the big black dog, sending it flying out of the ruined temple.

The big black dog shrieked wrongfully outside, "Master, why did you hit me?"

The man in black robes threw the ring aside, cursing at the big black dog, "Look for yourself, that little girl tricked you!"

"Huh?"

The big black dog realized it had been too excited and forgotten about this trick.

It hastily examined the ring with spiritual power, finding it clean and empty, confirming it had been fooled.
