Assistant Shelton happened to knock and enter to show Damian Knight a document, so Damian Knight instructed Assistant Shelton to take Summer Monroe to The Vanguard.

Before leaving, Damian Knight repeatedly instructed, "Call me immediately if anything happens."

Summer Monroe nodded helplessly and went to The Vanguard with Assistant Shelton.

With Damian Knight’s prior instructions, Summer Monroe received a VIP treatment as soon as she walked in.

The vice captain personally showed her the way.

Summer Monroe nodded and stepped inside.

"Vice captain." One of the technicians saw the vice captain who had brought Summer Monroe and quickly stood up to greet him.

"Don’t mind me, just continue. By the way, how’s the restoration going?"

The technician shook his head helplessly: "Although it has been identified that someone hacked into the system, creating a loophole and injecting a virus that paralyzed the monitoring system, this virus is extremely formidable. Despite our efforts, we haven’t been able to remove the virus."

The vice captain was surprised and asked, "What kind of virus is this that even you all can’t handle it?"

The person shook his head: "This virus can’t be removed directly; the code must be cracked, but it’s too complex. We might need another day."

"That long?"

The vice captain said to Summer Monroe with a face full of guilt, "Miss Monroe, I’m really sorry, they say it will take at least another day. Maybe you should go back and wait for news?"

"It’s okay, let me give it a try." Summer Monroe said as she approached the technician, surprising the vice captain: "Can I borrow the computer?"

The technician asked in astonishment, "You know how to crack codes?"

The technician looked questioningly at the vice captain.

The vice captain nodded and said, "Let Miss Monroe try; she’s a friend of the captain."

"Understood, Miss Monroe, please." The technician gestured "please" and handed over the computer to Summer Monroe.

This technician was the captain of The Vanguard’s technical department, and when others saw their captain giving his seat to a young girl, they couldn’t help but whisper.

"What does the vice captain mean by this? Does he think we’re not even as good as a little girl, so he brought a girl to crack the virus code?"

"And our captain too; he actually gave her his seat. This isn’t a place for little girls to play."

A few people whispered for a few years, and couldn’t help but lean over to their captain and whisper.

But after hearing his team members’ comments, he started feeling uneasy.

"Enough talking." The technical captain said seriously: "There’s no way she’ll succeed anyway. Since she’s a friend of the captain, let her try; we have nothing to lose."
