Chapter 101: Conversations about the immortal

Friends, hello everyone!

I am glad to congratulate all of us on the release of the hundredth Chapter! It really matters a lot to me, because this is my first book that I publish for everyone to see, and not hide under my pillow. LOL

And I never expected that I would be able to write so much. It used to seem to me that 100 Chapters is really a lot, but now i don`t think that. :D

I’m sorry if I’m harnessing for a long time, but I want to be able to dive deeper into this world, add new characters and tell their stories. Therefore, I hope that reading gives you the same pleasure as writing this novel gives me.

Very soon the roads of our main characters will cross again and I promise to pamper you with piquant scenes. That is why I did not describe in detail the love scene between Adeline and Klaus. The reason is that I want to give this honorable attention first to Raphael and Thea. I hope you share my opinion on this issue.

By the way, it will be very interesting for me to read your opinion about the characters as you see them, who do you like / dislike?

Anyway, I thank you for continuing to support me. Thank you very much for your votes/gifts/golden tickets. This novel is my work, so your response in the form of support gives me great motivation to write further.

Thank you to each and every one individually for acquiring privileges. Even buying a 1 coin privilege makes a big contribution to my work.

I love you all ❤❤❤ and let’s get back to our story as soon as possible.

-------------------

- I didn’t really run away. I wanted to die by jumping out of the window. – she stunned Nicole and Adeline with her confession, who still did not know the whole story. – But in the end, Raphael saved me.

She grinned to herself, not knowing if it was right to call it "salvation", because at that moment he claimed that he had kidnapped her and she was his prisoner. But he had never treated her as a prisoner, so she considered it a kind of salvation, no matter how it looked from the outside.

Nikki smiled ironically as she listened to Thea’s story. She realized that she was blind to what was happening around her, did not notice that the person she was flying after like a butterfly was cruel by nature. All her praise of Lillian lost all value at once. She had never felt so pathetic in her life, as if she had been slapped several times and only felt the last one.

Although, if you think about it, there were people who told her that Lillian’s personality is not so unambiguous and you should not blindly believe her words, but she always brushed off these statements, preferring to believe what was put into her head.

If you want to be strong, stay close to the strong.

It was her beacon that led her behind the supreme witch, depriving her of the ability to notice some details and think rationally. Her whole life was just about getting stronger and entering the inner circle of the supreme witch.

And now, some runaway princess turned her world upside down in an instant. Her head was full of self-deprecation towards herself. But there were also clear glimpses that whispered to her that everyone in this life makes mistakes, the main thing is to be able to accept them and correct them.

Therefore, she firmly declared to herself that no matter what, she would no longer succumb to any provocations and would only believe her own feelings that led her to Thea. She has predetermined their meeting as a fate that wants her to do the right thing.

After all, at the very beginning she was biased towards this girl, unknown to her, who did not even know how to do magic properly. And now what? Now she is stronger than Nicole herself, who has worked for this all her adult life, and Thea needed less than six months for this.

She looked at this fragile girl in front of her and realized that perhaps the force she had always been drawn to was now standing right in front of her. It’s just that her landmarks were incorrectly configured initially, but now she sees everything clearly.

- I know it sounds strange that I consider him my savior, but it really is. We had a contract with him, but I broke it. Or rather, I couldn’t fulfill my part of the deal and he still didn’t turn away from me, didn’t leave me and didn’t kick me out.

- But he did something more terrible. - Adeline cut in. – How can you forget time he kissed another woman in front of your own eyes? Wake up, girlfriend! People who love don’t do that!

- Don’t remind me! - Thea pursed her trembling lips. - That’s why I’m still here with you, and not back to him. It’s so hard to control, like my body doesn’t listen to me. I am so strongly attracted to him, as if we are two magnets that were once one. Here’s what to do with it? This is all driving me crazy.

She clutched her head, tugging at the roots of her hair, while her eyes widened in madness. It was something she had a hard time coping with–her own feelings and desires. Her desires were too contradictory.

- But one thing I know for sure, if I see him, I’ll punch him! – she said through her teeth. - For all the pain he caused me.

- Your last attempt to punch him was unsuccessful. - Nikki reminded her. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

- That’s right. But I will do it without this disguise. I’ll just look into his shameless eyes and... just like I’ll drive between his legs so that life doesn’t seem like a fairy tale. - she savored this anticipatory moment.

- You’re traumatizing his future children. - Adeline burst out laughing.

- I don’t care, these are his future children with Giselle, so it doesn’t matter. It will be a planned blow to both. - A sly smile crept into her narrowed eyes along with her lips stretched in a smile.

- Speaking of beating up a vampire... Eugene told me he’s immortal. – after Nikki’s words, silence reigned in the room for a while.

- What do you mean? How is this even possible? - Adeline screamed.

- I remember something about it ... - Thea said thoughtfully, as if chasing away some memories in her head. - It was in Abion’s palace. There was a mural on the ceiling. She’s so beautiful...

Her mind flashed back to the day when she first saw the drawings on the ceiling. She had no suspicions about them, she thought they were just ordinary art illustrations, but there was something catchy about them.

- It was as if the story of a girl who was burned alive was being told on the vaults there.

- Well, anything happens. There used to be a practice of burning witches at the stake. Although many of the dead were not witches at all. There were harsh times, it’s good that we didn’t find them. – stated Adeline.

- Do you think she was a witch? - Thea asked.

- Who knows. - she shrugged her shoulders. – So what about immortality?

- Oh, yeah. So, next to that girl there was an image of a man heartbroken. And next to it there are also drawings in which he is pierced by a sword, with arrows stuck in his back, with bleeding eyes. There are too many drawings, I didn’t have a chance to look at them all at that moment. But now it makes me think that maybe he couldn’t have died?

- Do you think it depicts the story of an immortal vampire? - Nicole concluded. - Then who is this girl who was burned? And what did she have to do with him?

- Listen, maybe this is the story that started the massacre, in which many of our relatives died?

- You should still remember the time of dinosaurs, Ada. It was too long ago and no one will say now if it really happened. - Nicole waved away.

- And I believe it was real! - Adeline protested, crossing her arms over her chest.

- In any case, it won’t help us much. Just suddenly remembered. - Thea stated. – However, the fact that he is immortal is such a huge problem. What kind of war against the immortal can we talk about? This is a real suicide.

- And the High Witch probably knows about all this. - Nicole echoed.

- Not only does she know, she provokes him herself. - Thea wondered. – I have a bad feeling about all this.

- It’s really difficult, let’s not think ahead and just go with the flow? Besides, I’m tired and I want to sleep already. - Adeline pleaded. – Let’s think later about what to do with the immortal, it’s unlikely that some clever idea will come to our heads now.

Sleep after a tiring journey was now most welcome, so no one began to argue. Nicole helped her friends spread out their sleeping bags, then took her place.

But unlike the others, she couldn’t sleep at all right now. Like the previous nights spent in her makeshift house under a tree, she replayed in her head all the most painful questions to which either she could not find an answer, or the answer did not fully satisfy her.

It was a real curse to fill your head with nonsense at night looking. She understood that they would have to leave early in the morning and she might not get enough sleep. But how could she go to bed after all she had heard from Thea?

She still blamed herself for how blind she was to the supreme witch, and now her feelings turned out to be the exact opposite of her previous worship. It was as if she had an epiphany, realizing how selfish Lillian was.

Finally, it dawned on her that all this time she had not taken care of her people. She didn’t protect witches when needed, didn’t give them any new knowledge to become stronger and wiser. She abandoned the witches, choosing a better life with magicians.

Of course, she participated in the life of every witch through her proxies, but it was too insignificant now that she was able to understand her entire essence. All she could remember were just words of motivation, but otherwise, she rarely appeared in public, except for her trusted circle of people, which Nicole had once tried to get into.
