Chapter 315 Emilia’s Fear

"Amazing, Nii-san!" Seeing Takeru casually eliminate one of the Three Great Witchbeasts, the Great Rabbit, Felt cheered excitedly.

Ram and Rem looked at Takeru with admiration.

Afterwards, Takeru used his mana to alter the blizzard. After consuming two to three thousand mana points, the blizzard stopped, and the weather gradually returned to normal.

Then, Takeru dispelled the barrier. Seeing some demi-human villagers seemed injured, Takeru conveniently performed a group healing, earning much gratitude.

That night, the villagers returned to their homes. Takeru and the others celebrated and rested in their newly renovated house.

Of course, the so-called celebration was just an excuse for everyone to have fun together. Rem used some remains of the Great Rabbit and the White Whale to cook many delicious dishes for everyone.

After tasting dishes made from the Great Rabbit, Takeru found its meat, similar to the White Whale's, could slightly increase the consumer's own mana.

Though only a little of the Great Rabbit's remains were saved in advance, as the rest were incinerated or buried under ice and snow-

But Takeru didn't regret it, because the Great Rabbit was different from the White Whale.

The Great Rabbit moved in swarms with an insatiable appetite, endlessly hunting surrounding creatures. After devouring everything, they would move to the next area for food, like a locust-like natural disaster.

Moreover, if even one Great Rabbit remained, it could divide and multiply at an incredible speed. This result also meant Takeru couldn't afford to leave any alive.

Most importantly, after reading most of the magic books Echidna collected in the Forbidden Library, especially Yang magic, creating life wasn't easy for Takeru, but it was definitely not impossible.

Simply creating mana-rich magical beasts like these was even easier for Takeru. As for the vast mana required for creation, for Takeru with Gluttony, it was no problem at all.

Even during regular sparring sessions with everyone, Takeru basically let them cast spells at him, absorbed them via Gluttony, then replenished their mana when Ram, Beatrice, and others ran out, thus grinding mana reserves.

When Ram and others used 1,000 of their own mana to create attacks absorbed by Takeru, the amount far exceeded 1,000, easily reaching four to five times that.

When Takeru replenished everyone's mana, there was some loss, as roughly 1,200 of Takeru's mana could replenish about 1,000 for others. But this loss also decreased as Takeru became more proficient.

After a round of celebration, everyone rested very late. Beatrice monopolized Takeru, clinging to him tightly while warily eyeing Ram and Rem. Even Felt was somewhat helpless upon seeing this.

However, Takeru and the others still slept together. Only Emilia watched enviously, but was too shy to join. Of course, Takeru didn't do anything with them.

Having easily dealt with the Great Rabbit's matter so quickly today, the remaining time was for Emilia's trials. Takeru knew he couldn't help her much with these trials, and he could only offer support. She ultimately had to rely on herself to resolve her inner conflicts.

The next day, Takeru woke up surrounded by the girls. Rem, as always, was already awake, prepared everything, and stood in the room obediently waiting for Takeru and the others.

"You've worked hard, Rem." Looking at Rem, Takeru felt extremely gratified.

"Not at all. Being able to help Takeru-sama is enough." Hearing Takeru, Rem showed a sweet smile.

Seeing Rem's adorable smile early in the morning was quite a treat for Takeru. Then, looking at the beauties around him, Takeru woke them up.

"Takeru, morning." Beatrice, nestled in Takeru's arms, greeted him sleepily.

"Takeru-nii/-sama, morning." Felt and Ram quickly woke up and greeted Takeru with smiles.

"Alright, time to get up. Today is the day for Lia's trials. Everyone, make sure to encourage her well later." Looking at everyone, Takeru spoke softly.

"Mhm." Hearing Takeru, no one had any objections, nodding to show they understood.

Subsequently, after washing up, Takeru and the others went to the living room.

"Takeru, everyone, good morning!" Seeing everyone emerge, Emilia spoke up.

"Morning, Lia. Are you prepared?" Hearing her, Takeru asked gently.

"Yes, I'm prepared." Though still nervous inside, Emilia took a deep breath and nodded.

Seeing her expression, Takeru smiled. Since the trials only opened at night, everyone accompanied Emilia, playing and waiting for sunset.

In the evening, Takeru and the others accompanied Emilia to the front of Echidna's tomb.

Looking at the ruin before her, Emilia felt tense again, but Takeru easily comforted her. Emilia closed her eyes, communicating with the lesser spirits to calm her mind completely.

"Encouraged by the lesser spirits? Feeling confident now?" After her communication ended, Takeru asked gently.

"I'm fine. But I'd like one last bit of encouragement... I want Takeru's encouragement, please." Hearing Takeru, Emilia said seriously.

"Go for it, Emilia. No matter how painful the trials inside are, remember we are all by your side. You are not alone." Looking at Emilia, Takeru said earnestly again.

"Thank you, everyone." Hearing Takeru, Emilia looked at the caring faces around her and nodded seriously.

Then, as Emilia approached the ruin, it lit up. Takeru knew this meant Emilia had the qualification to challenge the trials.

"I'm going in!" Looking at the glowing ruin, Emilia said to everyone once more and stepped inside.

However, less than three minutes passed outside before the ruin's light vanished. Sensing this, Takeru perceived Emilia's expression of pain clearly. Clearly, this challenge had failed.

Seeing this, Takeru stepped forward but was blocked by a special barrier. Although Takeru could violently break it, doing so might cause massive collapse of the Sanctuary.

Thinking this, Takeru knew he couldn't force it. Though even mana was blocked inside, Takeru's telekinesis could easily penetrate the barrier.

So, Takeru used telekinesis to bring Emilia out.

"Lia! Lia!" Looking at Emilia's pained expression even in unconsciousness, Takeru called out to her loudly.

"Purification! Healing!" Seeing her state, Takeru directly used two spells to remove negative effects. Under the magic's influence, Emilia's pained expression gradually faded, and she barely opened her eyes.

"Takeru? Right... I should have taken the trial, then... Ah~ It wasn't me... It wasn't me, I told you it wasn't me!" As if seeing something extremely terrifying, Emilia's expression was filled with terror.

"Lia, rest easy. Everything will be better when you wake up." Seeing Emilia's fearful look, Takeru sighed inwardly and used his Sharingan to put her to sleep.

"Takeru-nii, is Lia okay?" Seeing Emilia's state, Felt was deeply shocked. She could hardly imagine what Emilia had experienced, feeling a trace of fear toward the ruin.

"Let's not dwell on it. Clearly, Lia failed this time. Let's head back first." Looking at everyone, Takeru directly suggested.

In the shadows, Garfiel, witnessing this scene, showed a complicated expression. Regarding Emilia's failure, he wasn't sure if he longed for the barrier to be removed, or if he still feared contact with the outside world.

Actually, the barrier had no effect on Garfiel. Like his sister Frederica, he only had one-quarter mixed blood, so the barrier didn't affect him. He stayed here to protect the other demi-humans, and also because he himself wasn't ready yet.

Takeru naturally noticed Garfiel hiding in the shadows, but since he wasn't causing trouble, Takeru didn't act against him.

Carrying the unconscious Emilia, Takeru and the others quickly returned to their lodging. Then, Takeru asked Felt and Beatrice to rest first, while he stayed by Emilia's side, holding her hand.

After the others checked on Emilia, they nodded understandingly and left without saying much.
