Chapter 491: 491: A Fake

A flaming sword arc flew at the Winter Monkey, and Simon’s eyes flickered when he saw the flaming sword arc.

Without hesitation, he ran to the back and further distanced himself from the Winter Monkey and First Blade’s attack.

Lucien did the same, but he didn’t move so much compared to Simon.

He was a Half-Step Greater Demon, so he could handle the remnant attacks and the shockwaves with ease compared to Simon.

As for the Winter Monkey, he finally moved.

Bang!

The ground shattered and an ice pillar rose to the sky, carrying the Winter Monkey on it.

The ascent of the ice pillar was fast, and in the blink of an eye, the Winter Monkey was already close to the flaming sword arc.

"Hehehe."

A chuckle could not help but escape his lips, then he grabbed the ice pillar and it shrunk in his hand.

"Break!"

He swung the ice pillar at the flaming sword arc.

BOOM!

The ice pillar and the flaming sword arc shattered and exploded, causing a fog mixed with water to be formed.

"Hehehe!"

The Winter Monkey laughed as he flew out of the fog with two ice chakrams in his hands.

He threw the chakrams, and First Blade scoffed.

He held his silver sword and was about to swing it and cut the two chakrams.

But his expression changed when the chakrams suddenly transformed into two hands made out of ice.

The ice hands increased in size and the moment the Winter Monkey clapped his hands, the ice hands did the same thing.

They clapped.

Whoosh!

The robes of the old demon fluttered as the ice hands approached him with the intention of crushing him into paste.

"Tch. Do you think this is enough to defeat me?"

Flames appeared on his sword and he swung at the right hand, then at the left hand.

In the next moment, both hands split from top to bottom.

But it was not just a single split.

Three straight cuts appeared on the ice hands, then they fell.

First Blade looked down at the Winter Monkey who was also standing in the air like him,

The contempt and anger in his eyes was extremely visible for all to see.

As for the Winter Monkey, he was... enjoying himself.

He waved two of his fingers at the falling ice hands, and in the next moment, they stopped falling.

They twisted, then they turned into ice spears.

Six ice spears floated in the air, and First Blade frowned when he saw this.

The Winter Monkey waved his hand and the six ice spears flew at the First Blade.

This time around, the First Blade moved.

He kicked the air, and when he was close to the spears, he rotated his body in an anticlockwise direction and four swords appeared in his four hands.

A rotating flaming spiral appeared around him and the moment the ice spears tried touching him, they were cut into pieces.

They fell like snow, and the Winter Monkey’s expression changed when he saw that First Blade was still approaching him in a flaming spiral.

"Damn it."

The Winter Monkey cursed as he quickly flew away.

However, the First Blade turned and kept on chasing him while remaining in his flaming spiral form.

As the Winter Monkey flew for his life, he looked at Simon and shouted.

"Did you not say that you’ll help me?! You’ve done nothing!"

Simon gave the Winter Monkey a strange look.

"How do you expect us to help you when you’re in the sky? We can’t fly."

The Winter Monkey nearly froze on the spot after realizing how true Simon’s words were.

One of the reasons why the difference between a Greater Demon and an Archfiend was so wide is because Greater Demons had the ability to fly.

Simon was just a Fiend, and unless he had an artifact that could help him fly, there was no way he could help the Winter Monkey.

As for Lucien, he was a Half-Step Greater Demon, not a Greater Demon. Until he became a Greater Demon, he would not have the ability to fly.

The Winter Monkey suddenly realized that it had been fooled.

If the fight continued in the air, that meant Simon and Lucien would not be able to help.

"Damn it."

The Winter Monkey suddenly stopped flying away from First Blade.

His eyes flashed and icy blue chaos runes appeared in his pupils, and the frost patterns on his body emitted a cyan glow.

He shouted and raised his right hand.

The frozen ground shattered and numerous walls of ice rose to the sky.

They blocked the path of First Blade who was still approaching him in a flaming sword spiral.

The moment First Blade reached the first ice wall, a hole appeared in it immediately and the ice wall melted.

The ice walls tried to stop First Blade, but it was to no avail.

First Blade pierced through the ice walls like they were butter, leaving behind dense fogs and drops of water from every wall he passed.

Eventually, he reached the Winter Monkey who covered himself in a thick sphere of ice.

Clang!

Screech!

The sphere of ice tried blocking First Blade’s attack, but at the end of the day, it failed.

First Blade’s sword pierced through the sphere of ice, and his flames melted it.

In the next moment, the Winter Monkey’s heart and body was pierced by the four swords.

But that was not all.

The First Blade did not stop there.

His flaming spiral form pushed the Winter Monkey from the sky to the ground.

Both of them crashed into the ground.

BANG!

BOOM!

The force of this impact was so powerful that the frozen ground shattered and both the Winter Monkey and First Blade sank into the ice cold sea beneath the ice.

As for Simon and Lucien, they protected themselves with their methods and demonic energy.

A second later, First Blade shot out of the sea with an utterly dark expression, then he swung his hand.

Clang

Clang

Clang

Simon and Lucien’s expression became strange when they saw what was thrown.

It was an ice sculpture of the Winter Monkey.

And in this ice sculpture were the four holes First Blade stabbed.

’A fake.’ Simon’s eyes flickered with a surprised light.
