Chapter 104: 9.14 The most fulfilling life

Lex looked up at the door surprised when A-Xuan and Kalel entered with two bodyguards. He smiled and watched as Kalel helped A-Xuan sit down. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

He frowned and asked:

"Son are you okay?"

A-Xuan smiled and explained:

"I’m fine Kalel is just overprotective now that he knows I’m pregnant."

Lex looked at him wide-eyed. He can’t believe his only son is pregnant and with Kalel’s baby.

After he found out that Drea ran away again he decided not to acknowledge him as a son anymore. With A-Xuan having Kalel’s baby he’ll never leave him.

He’s always worried that one-day A-Xuan will do something that will make Kalel leave him.

He knows how boring and blend his son is. That’s why he couldn’t believe that he managed to make both Greys fall in love with him.

But now A-Xuan being pregnant is insurance that Kalel won’t leave him. He can see how happy and worried he is about his son.

A-Xuan could see the gears turning in Lex’s mind. Usually, a father would be happy to find out that he’ll have a grandchild but he is only thinking of a way to exploit that.

Lex smiled and said:

"That’s wonderful I’m so happy for you guys. Is that why you came to see me?"

He wants Kalel to start today to publicize his hotel. He has no more money and he owes a lot. He plans on asking him to lend him money too. The guy is richer than Croesus he can afford it.

A-Xuan leaned back and smirked.

"No, I’m your 2 o’clock."

"W-what?"

"Lex I’m the one you’ve been emailing with."

A-Xuan smirked at his shocked face. Nice. Lex said shaking his head:

"No that’s not possible, that man took everything from me. All I have left is my hotel."

A-Xuan tilted his head and said:

"Actually you don’t. I still plan on destroying it to dig up the lost tribe. It’s being destroyed as we speak."

Kalel handed a tablet to Lex and his face immediately blanched. It was a live feed of the destruction of his biggest project.

The thing he is most proud of. He turned the tablet not being able to see more of his life’s work being turned into ruin.

He asked through gritted teeth:

"Why?"

A-Xuan laughed.

"Don’t you already know why? You’ve made my life a living hell and you blackmailed me into marrying someone that I hate. You use my love of piano, the only thing I have left from mother as leverage."

Lex stood up shouting:

"Just because I forced you to pass as Drea for a few hours you took everything from me?"

A-Xuan said:

"That was just the catalyst. Before that, you’ve been nothing but mentally abusive. You basically raised your sons to marry rich men to further your business. I know that you hate me because I remind you of Mother. Once she died you took out all your anger on me like I’m somehow responsible. I’m the only reason she stayed alive as long as she did and I don’t blame her with a husband like you. You’re a despicable human being and you should’ve been the one who died."

It’s true that the original’s mother only stayed alive as long as she did for him and only spent time with him. Drea was his father’s shadow and was just as vicious to her as him.

She fought with her depression for so long because she wanted to see the original grow up but she reached her breaking point when Lex cheated on her again but this time with his assistant.

Lex sat back feeling drained. That ungrateful son of his destroyed the only thing he cares about.

Now that he has Kalel at his side what can he do? His eyes turned dark and he jumped A-Xuan. Before he could lay a hand on him the bodyguards restrained him.

A-Xuan smiled and said:

"Don’t worry the police are on their way to arrest you for money laundering."

Lex looked at him wide-eyed.

"What do you mean every one of my business has been done legally."

"You’re right so I did some not-so-legal in your name. You’ll go to jail for a very long time and don’t count on coming out alive."

He of course made sure to only implicate the hotel in money laundering to make sure everything he took from Lex would be legally obtained. Just as A-Xuan said that the police entered and handcuffed him. After reading the charges brought up against him they read his rights and then left with him.

Lex howled while being taken away:

"You ungrateful motherfucker, I’ll kill you. I’ll fuckin kill you."

Kalel looked at A-Xuan worried.

"Are you okay?"

A-Xuan smiled and wrapped his arms around his neck.

"Of course, I’m finally free from all those people I hate. Now I can’t focus plainly on you and our baby."

He has already dealt with his brother. He was run over by a car when he ran away.

He and Elwyn are really soulmates, they both had the same unfortunate accident except that Drea didn’t make it. Maybe they’ll meet in their next life.

He has no intention to let Lex live either. He’ll let him enjoy prison for a few years and the day before he is free he’ll accidentally die.

They left for home and at night A-Xuan felt that Kalel was worried about something. He gave him time so he can talk to him when he is ready. It’s always like that with his husband.

Kalel looked at A-Xuan who was on his computer and asked:

"Can we talk?"

A-Xuan closed the laptop and nodded.

"I’ve been wanting you to meet my mother. But after everything that happened with your family I know that you don’t want any more mother or father figures in your life."

Kalel knew that Lex was abusive but he never realized to what extent. What kind of person would take out all his anger on an inoffensive child and worst of all his?

Though the disparity between A-Xuan and Drea has always been clear he didn’t think it was that bad. But he is close to his mother and he of course talked to her before proposing to A-Xuan.

He wanted them to meet after he was sure A-Xuan would say yes. After that, he was busy and he didn’t have time to organize a meeting.

His mother is really important to him and he wants his child to have a grandmother.

A-Xuan smiled and caressed his cheek.

"My love I would love to meet your mother. What I’ve been through with my parents has nothing to do with us and our life. I know how much you love your mother and care for her and I love you which means I love and care for her as well."

Kalel’s eyes lit up. So that’s what’s been bothering him the whole day. A-Xuan knows how important his mother is and he would never take that away from him.

If Kalel loves her that means she’s a good person and he has no problem with that. Kalel hugged him tightly.

A-Xuan spent the rest of his life with Kalel. Lex stayed in prison for 8 years but he died there.

How unfortunate that it happened one day before he was supposed to be free. A-Xuan and Kalel decided to name their son Alaric.

A-Xuan was a little worried about the delivery but luckily it went well. Kalel raised Alaric as the heir of Grey Media.

When he moved out to live on his own A-Xuan and Kalel felt extremely sad but they were incredibly proud of him.

A-Xuan never thought it would be so fulfilling to have a son and watch him grow in front of his very eyes.

Alaric married a beautiful ger and had children of his own. A-Xuan couldn’t believe he had two grandchildren.

At first, he couldn’t believe that anyone could enter his heart but then his husband did and then his mother-in-law then his son then his son-in-law, and his grandchildren.

He felt like it’s been the most fulfilling life he ever had and now he’s not opposed to having children with his husband in their future lives.

When A-Xuan and Kalel felt like their end was near they invited the whole family to say goodbye and be together one last time.

The next day Kalel passed away as though he was finally at peace after seeing the whole family, A-Xuan kissed his forehead with tears on his face and left for the Locus space.

He stayed there 20 years after receiving all the power. That’s the problem with letting more people in your heart it makes it harder to let them go.

When the last bit of pain he felt left his body he moved on to the next world optimistic. His first thought after seeing his situation was: Why the hell did I feel the least bit optimistic?
