Victoria informed proudly:

"Brother, I’m working at Wu Pharma as the chief company executive."

She said with a sweet smile:

"I can talk to Darren, so he can get you an entry-level job."

Victoria is so self-centered that she didn’t even know that the original worked in the Wu Pharma laboratory since he was young. She just thought that his father loved him so much that he took him everywhere.

Yunlian had only told his wife that he intended to name him the heir, so she had no idea. To her, he’s probably been washing dishes in the back of a restaurant ever since he left.

She herself only got the job because she’s sleeping and helping Darren. The two of them are actually in love, which is psychotic. But here she is acting all proud and dignified.

A-Xuan smiled:

"I already have a job, but thank you."

"Oh? As what a floor cleaner?"

"The position is not as good as yours. I wouldn’t dare say it in front of a chief company executive."

Victoria lifted her chin with a triumphant smile. She could see the shame on A-Xuan’s face, now they don’t even have to get rid of him, seeing how pathetic he is. She wants him to live and see as she becomes better than him.

Knowing Darren, he’ll probably want him dead, but she’ll talk him out of it. She wants him to see them signing with Bloom Pto at the end of the month.

It will be their biggest contract yet since Bloom Pto expanded their business worldwide. Through that, Wu Pharma will be able to reach further and takedown Song Pharmatech.

Even if Darren thinks he can trick them until he gets their patents, she doesn’t want that. She just wants their company to destroy them.

Bastian looked at A-Xuan and could tell he was messing with her. He wasn’t surprised Victoria couldn’t see it, never in his life had he met someone as self-centered as Victoria.

He smiled looking toward A-Xuan, he seemed to feel it because he looked at him. Bastian felt his heart tremble and his heartbeat quicken. He frowned, looking at his chest.

It’s just that when he saw A-Xuan’s smile, he thought he looked adorable. He looked up again at him, but A-Xuan had already moved on to looking at his phone. Bastian grabbed his cell phone when it rang.

After listening for a while, he just answered:

"Call them to see when they’re available to meet. The sooner, the better."

A-Xuan smiled, texting Shuo.

Shuo was sitting on the couch in his hotel suite looking at the text, smiling. He’s been around A-Xuan for 4 years now, but every time he accomplishes a miracle he’s surprised.

Shuo looked up startled when Isaac barged in asking:

"I heard your phone ring. Is A-Xuan okay?"

Shuo narrowed his eyes at him.

"He’s fine. Why are you so obsessed with him?"

Isaac looked into Shuo’s eyes and smirked. He approached him his face close to his. Shuo pulled his head back as far as possible, when he couldn’t anymore he got off the couch, but Isaac pulled him back, trapping him between his arms.

Shuo asked angrily, his cheeks flushed:

"What do you want?"

Isaac smiled, caressing his red cheek lightly. He answered:

"To see you blush."

Shuo blinked fast not knowing what to say and Isaac burst out laughing. He pulled back and Shuo ran away after yelling:

"I hate you."

He went to his bedroom and slammed the door behind him. He still can’t believe he has to share a hotel room with Isaac. Even if it’s a presidential suite, it’s annoying. Thinking about Isaac’s face so close to his, Shuo’s heartbeat quickened.

He shook his head to focus. You can’t have a crush on him anymore, it won’t lead anywhere. He doesn’t even think that Isaac knows that, sometimes his attitude toward him is ambiguous.

It often makes him hope, but then nothing happens, so he should keep his distance. How am I supposed to keep my distance when he can’t leave my side? Shuo sighed in annoyance.

Bastian hung up the phone, looking at A-Xuan’s beautiful smile again. After texting Shuo A-Xuan looked at Bastian. He understands why he keeps looking at him like that, he must have numerous questions, but now is not the time.

He knows that he’s been looking for him ever since he left, even when every lead led him nowhere. Furthermore, he also knows that deep down he’s not a bad person, he lost it that day because of that gift chess set he had since he was ten.

Bastian would bring it to the hospital every time he would visit his sick mother before she died. They spent hours playing, and it was the most precious thing he had.

He was in B Country for 6 years, but Bastian never stopped looking for him. He only let him find him a month ago. He gave him access to everything he’s done since he left, so he would meet with him.

He knows Bloom Pto is expanding, and he wants that contract. He’ll never let Wu Pharma get it, if Bastian dares give it to them, he’ll destroy both companies.

But he’s confident, he knows he’ll choose Song PharmaTech.

"I’m ready, let’s go."

A-Xuan looked at Leia with a smile. Victoria asked:

"Where are you guys going?"

Leia explained excitedly:

"A-Xuan has a house, and I’m moving in with him."

Victoria laughed.

"Leia, you should stay here, everyone knows you can’t live without help. You’ll barely be able to fit in his tiny apartment, let alone a maid."

Leia approached her in anger. A-Xuan got up and stood in the middle of them. He looked at Leia.

"I already hired staff, the house is too big for us to take care of it. Plus, you know I can’t live without help either."

Leia laughed:

"I know, I had to ask Shuo to always check on you. Once you start working, you never stop."

A-Xuan smiled. Victoria looked at them incredulously, realizing.

"You’ve been in constant communication."

A-Xuan smirked:

"Of course, she’s the only person I couldn’t live without talking to."

Leia had a mocking smile on her face, and Victoria’s face became red. When A-Xuan left she thought that Leia would be a mess and that she would come crawling to her, but she never did.

She looked normal as if her whole life didn’t change. They were always together, so she couldn’t understand why she was so okay, but now she does. I need to talk to Darren.

A-Xuan turned around, meeting Bastian’s eyes.

"Thank you for taking care of Leia."

Leia gave him a grateful smile and Bastian nodded, feeling complicated.

A-Xuan grabbed her hand and left. Victoria looked at their leaving back with anger. She went into her room to change. Once she did, she called a chauffeur and left for Wu Pharma.

Darren was in his office working on the plan he would present to Bloom Pto. He knows the contract will be his but still, he has to pretend to be humble about it.

By now he knows how Bastian is and how he values good character like his father’s. He got the contract every year by pretending, why should it be different this time? He looked up when Victoria barged into his office, closing the door behind her.

She said frantically:

"A-Xuan is alive!"

Darren asked:

"What are you talking about?"

She sat in front of him, and explained while breathing loudly:

"He’s been alive all along. I told you I thought it was weird that Leia didn’t seem to care, it’s because she knew. They’ve been talking ever since he left, and that bitch never told me."

Darren said through gritted teeth:

"I don’t believe you."

Victoria pulled out her cell phone and showed a picture of them getting into a car.

"See, he came to pick her up. She’s moving in with him. The way they were talking made it seem like he’s rich."

Darren’s hand tightened around her cell phone. He put it back on the table forcefully. He can’t even deal with the two men who lied to him since they disappeared. He wanted to hire them again a few months later for another job, but he couldn’t find them.

He grabbed his cell phone and called:

"I need you to investigate A-Xuan, send everything you have on him."

He hung up and asked:

"Did he receive Yunlian’s heritage?"

"No, he never took that money."

Darren said:

"We’ll know more once we get the report of the investigation. You’re not to talk to him or Leia. Do you understand?"

"I want them to pay. They threw the fact that she knew he was alive in my face like I don’t matter."

Darren ordered:

"Regardless of what they said, stay away. We don’t know how he survived or who is backing him up."

Victoria looked down pouting.

"Fine."

Darren walked to her, pulling her into his embrace. He kissed her and said:

"You matter to me."

Victoria smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Before we get rid of him, I want him to see us getting that contract with Bloom Pto."

Darren smiled:

"I was thinking the same baby."
