Chapter 148: 13.4 Soothing soul

After a long day of watching men and women battle, they left for the Orion palace. A-Xuan looked at the hour. He’s glad he is just an apprentice. His day ends at 8 pm. Honestly, as the day passed, he became increasingly nervous.

This plan will only work if Kyrios falls in love with him. If he does, they’ll be able to create a bond, and he’ll remember everything. But if he doesn’t, then, history will repeat itself. He only has a week, so he needs to speed up Fyo’s plan.

He’s having dinner with him tonight just for that. What worries him, beyond the timeframe is if Kyrios falls for him, but not the real him. It’s not like in the previous world. He is in the Celestial Realm.

Here Kyrios is The Supreme. He can’t just do what he wants when he wants. A-Xuan is his servant. There are lines he can’t cross. He’s never been in this kind of situation before. This is so annoying.

Kyrios tilted his head. He’s been watching A-Xuan all day, and he felt he was taking his distance. Did he make him act this way? Maybe he believes he is too intense.

It wouldn’t be surprising. He’s never been in a proper relationship. He doesn’t have feelings, whether positive or negative. But A-Xuan makes him feel. He feels as though they’ve known each other forever.

Kyrios feels drawn to him. There’s just something about his soul that makes him irresistible. He’s special. Since he’s never tried to gain someone’s heart, he isn’t sure that his behavior may be too forward.

He knows how to seduce someone, but he wants to be himself. Kyrios wants A-Xuan to fall for the real him, not the person people believe he is. Everybody believes they know him, but they don’t.

He doesn’t care what people think, but he cares about what A-Xuan thinks. If he is already uncomfortable with the way he is acting, then it’s only going to get worse. Kyrios pulled him toward him and sat him on his lap.

A-Xuan looked at him and then down. Kyrios swallowed and asked:

"Have I made you uncomfortable?"

A-Xuan looked up and peered into Kyrios’ worried eyes.

His eyes softened and A-Xuan answered:

"You haven’t."

Kyrios didn’t feel better at that answer. A gray and black aura still surrounded A-Xuan. When he first met A-Xuan, he was surprised to see that he was enveloped by a gray aura.

It means strength of character, stability, and maturity. Usually, only people who have lived three times as long as A-Xuan have it.

It’s associated with tribulation and experience. But A-Xuan is young. What kind of adversity did he go through? Especially when he just graduated. The black aura means death, mystery, and formality.

He can see he is taking a step back. When they were talking and laughing at the arena, it felt oddly familiar. But over time, his attitude changed. Kyrios asked:

"Why are you upset?"

A-Xuan sighed. It’s not like he can tell him. After using the system, he asked:

"Can you look into my mind?"

Kyrios nodded and pressed his forehead against A-Xuan’s. They both closed their eyes.

He peered into his mind and pulled back. A-Xuan looked at him uncomfortably, and then glanced down. Kyrios held his chin, but A-Xuan was still looking away.

"Do you believe what everyone says about me? Is that why you think you can’t be yourself with me?"

A-Xuan met his eyes.

"I don’t, but it doesn’t change the fact that you are the Supreme, and I’m just your servant. I must act a certain way."

Kyrios tilted his head. So, that’s why he is upset about.

"I don’t wish you to be my servant, and I want you to be yourself with me. I need you to see me as Kyrios, not the Supreme."

A-Xuan frowned. Things have been this way forever, and there’s a reason.

"I work for you."

"How about you become my apprentice?"

A-Xuan looked at him, surprised. Kyrios can give humans godhood. The humans in the Celestial Realm usually live 5000 years. But if Kyrios sees one with potential, he can turn them into a god.

He only gives one godhood every 2000 years. It’s the dream for a human to get it. If he wants A-Xuan to be his apprentice, it means that he’ll teach him how to build worlds and turn him into a god.

A-Xuan asked:

"You want to teach me how to build worlds?"

"I do. This is what I love doing most, and I wish to share it with you."

A-Xuan felt his heartbeat quicken. He couldn’t stop himself from smiling. Kyrios smiled when he saw his sweet smile.

"Will you?"

"I will."

Kyrios beamed. Not only will he share with him what he loves to do, but it will make them grow closer.

"We’ll start tomorrow."

A-Xuan nodded and then asked:

"Why do you want to share what you love with me?"

Kyrios caressed his cheek.

"I love spending time with you. Your soul is soothing and comfortable."

A-Xuan looked at him stunned.

"My soul?"

"I know it’s odd, but it feels familiar. You feel like home."

The words left Kyrios lips before he could stop himself. He looked at A-Xuan nervously. He needs to calm down, or he might scare him away. A-Xuan’s eyes moistened, but he blinked back the tears.

He looked up and said:

"You feel like home too."

Kyrios grinned brightly, and his rapid heartbeat slowed down.

A-Xuan said:

"I should go. Father is waiting for me to have dinner."

He stood up, and so did Kyrios.

He laced their hands, and A-Xuan looked at him.

"I’ll walk you out."

A-Xuan smiled and they walked to the entry.

They went down the stairs of the palace, and Kyrios looked around.

"Where’s your carriage?"

"I walked here this morning."

The original’s father has multiple carriages, but he never let them use any of them. He took back everything he gave him when he said that he didn’t want to become a physician like him. Stingy bastard.

Kyrios looked at the guards at the top of the stairs and ordered:

"Tell the coachman to bring in the carriage."

A-Xuan glanced at Kyrios with a smile.

Kyrios turned around and met his eyes.

"Can I call you Gege?"

Kyrios eagerly nodded. A-Xuan chuckled at that. He looked like a kid.

"Thank you, Gege."

Kyrios’s heartbeat sped up. He pulled A-Xuan into his embrace. A-Xuan circled his waist and looked into his gray eyes. He reached out and caressed his eyes. Kyrios was surprised. He was just about to do the same thing.

He said:

"You have beautiful eyes, Peach."

A-Xuan’s eyes softened, and he smiled.

"Thank you, so do you."

Kyrios smiled. He feels better, seeing that A-Xuan is done keeping his distance.

They looked to the side when they heard the carriage approaching. When A-Xuan saw that it was pulled by two white Pegasuses, he asked:

"I thought it was forbidden to use Pegasuses if you’re human?"

Kyrios said:

"It isn’t, but people know better than to use them. The pegasuses are not easy to control, they can smell weakness. So they don’t like humans."

A-Xuan nodded. Only Kyrios rides white Pegasuses, so they can tell him apart from different gods. But humans only have horses. A-Xuan walked to a Pegasus. It looked beautiful, its skin was white as snow.

He stood before it and reached out. When the coachman saw that, he immediately ordered:

"Stop it unless you want to die!"

A-Xuan ignored him and stroked his muzzle.

Kyrios didn’t look surprised that the Pegasus was okay with A-Xuan caressing him. His soul is unique from other people’s. The coachman was speechless. Even if he steers the carriage, he has to keep his distance, or he’ll die.

Kyrios smiled. He stood next to A-Xuan and caressed it with him.

"It seems like Neo likes you."

A-Xuan smiled.

"I like him too."

A-Xuan stopped when he received a message. He looked at his cellular and saw that his father was getting impatient. When he rolled his eyes, Kyrios’ eyes flashed in amusement.

"I should go, father is waiting."

Kyrios walked to the door and opened it. The driver and the guards were stunned, but they knew better than to react. A-Xuan looked at Kyrios and then kissed him on the cheek. When he pulled back, he was stunned to see that he looked a little red.

How is it possible for that man to become cuter?

"I’ll see you tomorrow, Gege."

Kyrios swallowed and nodded. No words could come out of his mouth.

A-Xuan smiled tenderly. Kyrios pulled him and gave him a peck. When he pulled back, he looked at A-Xuan nervously. But he relaxed when he saw he was smiling with flushed cheeks.

Kyrios caressed his cheek and asked:

"Do you only blush for me?"

A-Xuan nodded, his cheeks turning a shade darker.

It made Kyrios happier than he’s ever been to hear that.

"I’ll see you tomorrow for our first lesson."

A-Xuan nodded and entered the freight. Kyrios closed the door, and they took off.

A-Xuan looked out the carriage window and saw that Kyrios was looking at him. He smiled at him and he beamed back. When he couldn’t see him anymore he turned his head. He was unable to stop himself from smiling.

He is reassured, contrary to earlier. He shouldn’t doubt his husband. They are soulmates. And this time it’s Kyrios, the supreme god. Of course, he can see his soul. Meaning, he sees the real him, not the person people believe he is.

When he said that his soul is soothing and comfortable, he almost cried. Unlike everyone else, he sees him. He knows now that everything will be okay. He just needs to trick Zheng and Fyo into advancing their plan.

Zheng looked at Fyo and smiled awkwardly. Fyo smiled back. Zheng discretely sent another text to A-Xuan. He can’t believe he is late. The only reason he didn’t tell him they’ll have dinner with Fyo, is that he knows he would get out of it.

He looked at Fyo.

"I’m sorry, A-Xuan said that the supreme needed him for something. He’ll be here in two minutes."

Fyo smiled gently.

"Don’t worry, it’s okay."

A maid entered the dining room and said:

"Master, the supreme is coming toward the mansion."

Zheng looked at her surprised.

"What are you talking about?"

"A carriage pulled by two white Pegasuses is coming this way."

Zheng was shocked. He woke up from his stupor and looked at Fyo.

"Excuse me while I welcome the supreme."

"I’ll come with you."

The two of them stood at the entry and looked as the pegasuses landed. The guard standing at the back came down and opened the door. Zheng and Fyo were stunned when they saw A-Xuan come down.

Zheng said:

"A-Xuan?"

A-Xuan walked to him and said:

"Father."

Fyo asked:

"Where’s brother?"

"Orion palace."

A-Xuan looked at Zheng.

"Sorry, I’m late. Gege needed my help."

"Gege?"

A-Xuan said:

"Kyrios."

The two gaped at A-Xuan.

Fyo asked:

"Did he tell you to take his carriage?"

A-Xuan nodded. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Zheng said:

"Let’s have dinner."

A-Xuan nodded again. He walked behind them with narrowed eyes.
