The cannon fodder's revenge (BL)
Chapter 36 - 3.11 Ending things
When A-Xuan arrived on set, he said hello to everyone and stumbled accidentally on Chao.
Chao fell to the floor, and A-Xuan reached out a hand saying, his face full of fear and nervousness, "I’m so sorry. Are you okay?"
Chao slapped his hand away, and the rough sound pulled everyone’s attention to the scene.
Chao got up and forcefully pushed A-Xuan. After his feet got tangled in a cord on the floor, he fell and hit his head against the side of the table used for the set.
A-Xuan’s tears immediately fell, and he touched his forehead. He looked at the hand that was previously on his forehead and saw blood.
He looked up at Chao incredulously and asked in a trembling voice, "Do you hate me that much?"
Chao bent down so they were eye to eye. He looked at him, laughing, and said with a sneer, "I do. I hate you."
There are only a few days left before the end of filming, and he still hasn’t dealt with A-Xuan properly. He watched as his life in the agency got better and better now that Daquan has fallen for him.
The whole world seems to think he’s some kind of saint. He even lost his commercial to him. Someone posting the footage of him slapping A-Xuan almost ruined his entire career.
Even the stories he commissioned to be sent every day were dismissed by people. They now believe that he would never do that.
Every time he would try to speak to Daquan, he would ignore his calls, and he left the country without telling him.
He just wanted to find a way to end up in bed with him. That way, he would see that he doesn’t need A-Xuan. He’s sure that once they sleep together, he’ll come back to him.
A-Xuan’s tears fell profusely, and he started to have a panic attack. The crew wanted to reach out to help him, but when Chao viciously stared at them, they all stopped their movements.
Daquan walked onto the set and stumbled into this scene. He saw Chao crouching next to a bleeding and crying A-Xuan, who could barely breathe. He ran and pushed Chao, who fell to the side, and grabbed A-Xuan in his arms.
He walked to his dressing room after roaring, "Get a doctor in the next 5 minutes, or you’re all fired." Every crew member started calling every doctor they knew, fearing for their life.
Chao watched, shocked, on the floor. Shock quickly turned into rage as he got up to leave. Since Daquan isn’t on my side anymore, then I’ll make him give up A-Xuan for good. We’ll see if he’ll still want him after catching him in bed with someone else.
Daquan entered his dressing room and put A-Xuan delicately on the sofa. He knelt and said, his eyes full of anxiety, "It’s okay, just breathe."
After a while, his breathing calmed. A-Xuan put on the pain blocker so he didn’t feel pain, but his panic attack was real. The Original would have them when he was in a particularly difficult situation.
The Original’s feelings are more deeply entrenched in the body than the previous one he had. His hatred for Chao is immeasurable. He made his life a nightmare for something that had nothing to do with him.
Seeing him calm down, Daquan affectionately caressed his cheek. A-Xuan pushed his hand away expressionlessly. Daquan was stunned, but before he could speak, he heard a knock, and someone saying they had found a doctor.
He got up, opened the door, and let the doctor in. After checking A-Xuan, the doctor said that he was okay and that there were no concussions. He cleaned his cut, put a bandage on, and told him to rest until tomorrow.
A-Xuan thanked him, and he left. He walked behind him wanting to leave, but Daquan closed the door and pushed him gently against the wall. He was trapped between him and the door, his hand on both sides of his head.
A-Xuan looked down, not saying anything. Daquan pinched his chin lightly and lifted his head. He finally saw those gold eyes alive he missed so much. Except that they were full of tears.
He felt his heart clench in pain and pulled him into an embrace but was met with rejection. He looked at the youth, his eyes flashed with pain as he said:
"I don’t care about the contract. We’re done."
Daquan felt his heartbeat quicken and took a step back. He understands why A-Xuan would want to end the contract, but he doesn’t want to let him go.
He thought he would make his life better on set before he confessed and asked A-Xuan to give him a chance, but he even failed at that.
After talking to the director and the new crew, he thought that he would be safe and no one would dare to mess with him, but he never thought Chao would go this far.
He thought he wanted to wield his power to A-Xuan’s face because of some jealousy, but today he saw the depth of his hatred.
Daquan asked nervously:
"What do you mean?" 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"I don’t care if you don’t give me the settlement. I don’t want to have anything to do with you and Chao."
Daquan immediately approached him and swore:
"I didn’t know all the things he was doing to you, I swear. There is no Chao, and I. All we did is have sex a few times, it meant nothing."
A-Xuan smiled and said expressionlessly:
"Just like us."
Daquan immediately denied:
"Only in the beginning, but after that, it changed. I’ll deal with Chao for you because I like you. No, I love you."
A-Xuan smiled sadly and said, "I want to be released from my contract after I’m done with Spring Kings, despite the clauses you added. You can keep the settlement for compensation."
Daquan closed his eyes, digesting what he heard. He knew that A-Xuan would never accept him. Ever since he looked at him through the mirror, he had this feeling that one day he would leave, but he didn’t think much about it because he didn’t care about him before.
But now it’s different; he doesn’t want to part with him ever. But after everything Chao did to him using his name, he owes him that and so much more.
He opened his eyes and said with difficulty, "Finish filming your last scene tomorrow and come to the wrapping party next week. The day after that, come to my office at 2, and I’ll release you from the contract."
A-Xuan nodded and ordered before closing the door behind him, "Stay out of my and Chao’s problem."
When Chao heard him coming out, he immediately ran back to his dressing room with a smile. Perfect, now that A-Xuan ended things with Daquan, he’ll feel vulnerable and easily fall for Muyun Sheng’s thoughtfulness.
The night of the wrapping party, he’ll get him into a hotel room and send paparazzi the next day to catch him in bed. Then they’ll believe all the articles he posted. Chao sighed in relief as he felt his plan being back on track.
Daquan left his dressing room and went back to his office. He closed the door and sat at his desk. He opened his computer and watched from the beginning what led to A-Xuan’s fall.
He paused on his face and caressed it, saying, "I only agreed to let you go for now. You’re mine, and there’s no way in hell I’ll ever give up on you. I care about you too much to scare you, so I’ll give you space. But if you don’t come back, I’ll take you back forcefully."
A-Xuan was sitting in the back of the car being driven home, listening to Daquan’s words. He smiled, but his heart hurt a little.
He missed him so much these past two weeks, and when he saw him, he just wanted to jump in his arms, but he couldn’t, he can’t. No matter what happens, the mission takes precedence.
With Daquan protecting him, he saw Chao’s frustration rising. That’s why he created this little accident. He knew he would snap, and he planned it for the moment Daquan would show up.
That way, he could use that as an excuse to end things officially with him and make Chao start the last phase of his plan. He will make Muyun Sheng pay for what he did to the original.
Chao paid him to do this, and he accepted. It wasn’t like he was forced, so he has to pay. This can’t happen if he doesn’t end up in a hotel room with him, and he won’t if he is with Daquan.
After two lives, he knows what he has to do to make his husband give him space for a little while at least, and he knew that Chao was behind the door listening.
