The cannon fodder's revenge (BL)
Chapter 65 - 6.6 No more room for failure
Yuwen Yong sat on the couch in front of them and looked at A-Xuan wide-eyed. He asked:
"A-Xu what happened to you?"
A-Xuan looked at him and his eyes moistened as he explained:
"I was on my way to see you when the driver left me in an old factory. They were ten men who tried to kill me. Thankfully Yang Jian was there to save me."
When Yuwen Zhu heard what he said she stopped midway through the stairs. A-Xuan looked at her and said:
"Sister have a seat."
When Yang Jian looked at her she put on a beautiful smile and took a seat next to her father. She looked at A-Xuan with disgust. I can’t believe Yang Jian saved that bastard.
She narrowed her eyes when she saw Yang Jian’s soft eyes directed at A-Xuan and felt like throwing up. Since Yang Jian can’t be used anymore then I’ll just use Yang Zan and make him the leader of the Yang Clan.
Yuwen Yong looked at his daughter with anger but quickly put on a sweet smile when Yang Jian looked at him and said:
"Leader Yang thank you so much for protecting my son."
Yang Jian said:
"You don’t have to thank me, I’ll never let anything happen to him."
A-Xuan looked up at him. He felt the need to hug him so he did. He can’t understand how after 5 lives his husband can still touch him this deeply. Yang Jian held onto him tighter. I swear I’ll never let anything bad happen to you.
Yuwen Yong smiled already imagining all the money he’ll make in the future. He asked:
"Do you know who was behind the attempt?"
Yang Jian answered:
"My men are already investigating and when they find out who is behind it they’ll pay with their life."
A-Xuan got out of his embrace and left after saying:
"You talk I’ll get a few things."
Yang Jian watched his retreating back until he disappeared. He always feels uncomfortable when he is far from him.
When he was out of sight he looked at Yuwen Zhu and asked:
"How have you been doing?"
Yuwen Zhu felt her heartbeat quicken and she answered excitedly:
"I’ve been well thank you leader Yang."
Yuwen Yong coughed and asked:
"Leader Yong, did you catch any of the men responsible?"
Yang Jian leaned back and answered indifferently:
"No, all the men who tried to kill him are dead."
Yuwen Yong took a breath of relief. At least every witness is dead so they’ll never know his daughter and Yang Zan are responsible. He only found out a few minutes after they abducted A-Xuan what his daughter had planned.
He discovered their plan after she left her cell phone in the living room. He couldn’t believe how stupid she was. It was clear that she wanted the leader of the Yang clan not someone from a smaller one.
A-Xuan walked directly to Yuwen Yong’s office and scanned the room. When he was done he picked up a few different files. Unfortunately, he has to recuperate all the files by hand since Yuwen Yong is paranoid when it comes to technology.
If he wants to send him to jail forever he needs proof. With just his crimes of bribing and money laundering, he is bound to live the rest of his life in prison.
When A-Xuan destroyed every file implicating the original he checked the computer and left.
A-Xuan entered the living room with a bag in his hand and grabbed Yang Jian’s hand with the other and said before leaving:
"Father I have to go I’m tired, I’ll come back to talk to you in a few days."
"Okay, son get some rest."
When Yuwen Yong heard the door closing he violently slapped his daughter. The slap was so strong that Yuwen Zhu fell to the floor. She looked at her father incredulously.
"You fuckin bitch! You almost destroyed my whole plan."
Yuwen Zhu’s tears fell on her face and she put a shaky hand on her cheek.
"Father I was only trying to help you expand the clan."
"You were only trying to help yourself, you’re so determined to lay your hands on Yang Jian that you were willing to destroy the clan’s future."
She asked angrily:
"Why should brother have a powerful man like Yang Jian when all I get is the leader of a small clan?"
"I wanted you to have him too but he chose your brother. If you try anything else I’ll kill you myself do you understand?"
Yuwen Zhu looked down and answered in a small voice:
"Yes, father."
When her father left the room she got up and left the house.
Yang Zan was sitting behind his desk looking at the same video for the fifth time. He paused the video on a beautiful smiling young man and zoomed in. He smiled as he caressed his face.
When he saw A-Xuan look at the bodyguard scared he was worried and he immediately told his man hiding outside to get in. After they struggled to get inside he ordered them to withdraw when he saw A-Xuan’s eyes turn sharp.
It was clear that he was the one who locked them in. Every time he smiled after bashing someone’s head Yan Zan felt his body heat up.
When he first saw Yuwen Zhu he couldn’t understand how his brother could choose A-Xuan but over time he did.
Yang Zan locked his tablet and looked up when he heard the door open. He watched as Yuwen Zhu walked in and sat with her red cheek.
Her eyes were also red like she had been crying, she looked so pitiful that anyone would want to hug her.
Yan Zan asked expressionlessly:
"Why are you here? And how dare you enter my office without knocking?"
Yuwen Zhu batted her eyelashes and said:
"The plan didn’t work. My brother was just at our house he said that Yang Jian saved him. I can’t believe he killed men who worked for him for years just for a fuckin coward."
Yang Zan banged his fist on the table fiercely and Yuwen Zhu sat back scared. So A-Xuan lied and pretended Yang Jian saved him?
Based on his skills he definitely didn’t need help from anyone. Then why would he lie to his family? His father is using him and his sister hates him that’s a good enough reason.
They probably think he is as cowardly as he looks because that’s what he shows them. Yang Zan leaned back with a smile. That kid is truly interesting, I can’t wait to meet him.
His smile disappeared when his eyes landed on Yuwen Zhu again.
"Get out and don’t come back here ever again."
Yuwen Zhu looked at him stunned and asked:
"Why? What did I do?"
"You tried to have your brother killed so you could be with Yang Jian."
Yuwen Zhu’s eyes widened. How did he know? She tried to think of an excuse but couldn’t for the longest time.
"I..."
Yang Zan cut her:
"I was never going to let you hurt him in the first place."
Yuwen Zhu looked at him confused.
"Then why did you go through with the plan?"
"So I could expose the traitors in my brother’s clan. I was going to give him back A-Xuan but now I think I’ll keep him for myself too."
Yuwen Zhu gaped at him for a few seconds then said with difficulty:
"Even you? Why? What does he have that I don’t?"
Yang Zan warned:
"Try anything else and I’ll kill you."
Yuwen Zhu got up with her face red with anger and yelled:
"What the fuck is wrong with you and your brother? Are you fuckin blind? How could you both fall for him and not me?"
Yang Zan laughed and nodded to the bodyguard before saying:
"Trust me we’re not blind and we’re wide awake."
Yuwen Zhu screamed in rage while she was dragged out. The bodyguard tossed her to the ground and closed the door behind her. She got up banging on the door angrily. How could they fall for him?
How can her pathetic brother be more attractive than her? The only reason he was named heir of the clan is that he’s a man. At least with her beauty, she could enchant any clan leader but now even his brother is better at that than her.
A-Xuan was supposed to die and she should’ve been the one in Yang Jian’s arms.
When she saw how infatuated he was with A-Xuan she thought at least she had Yan Zan but he fell for him too.
Yang Zan has never laid eyes on him but he still fell for him when he’s seen her often and flirting. Nothing indeed happened but she could feel that he was attracted to her.
Yuwen Zhu took a deep breath to calm herself. Once he dies both brothers will fight for me, and the next plan won’t fail. She went home determined.
