When they left the room Zhao Wei looked at the emperor seductively and asked:

"Your majesty, may I speak with you?"

The emperor nodded and they walked to his imperial study. When they passed the emperor’s chambers Zhao Wei looked back feeling lost. She thought she was more than clear, she wants to sleep with him.

Yizhen knows very well what she wants but he has no intention of laying a finger on her. Since she’s been his consort they never had any relation.

They both know what they are to each other so neither insisted on being intimate.

Zhao Wei was more than pleased with that, she thought the emperor loved her too much to pressure her into doing something she didn’t want to do.

When she thinks about it now and all the time he showered her with presents she feels touched. She can’t understand how she could love Liren and not him.

While the other kept her a secret Yizhen took her as his imperial noble consort. Everyone knows how much he loves her and now that she loves him she’ll do everything to earn all the love he gave her. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Yizhen sat behind his desk and waited for her to sit.

"What do you want?"

Zhao Wei batted her eyelashes.

"I was wondering if his majesty could accompany me for a drink."

"I can’t."

"How about tomorrow I com..."

Before she finished Yizhen cut her.

"I’ll call on you if I want to. You’re not to come unannounced do you understand?"

Zhao Wei looked down and murmured:

"I understand your majesty."

She can’t comprehend what’s happening, she knows how much the emperor worships her. Why did it change? She’ll do everything she has to be with him.

She thought for a few seconds and smiled.

"I’ll let you be your Majesty."

After bowing she left.

Once she has the emperor’s baby she’ll never leave the Imperial Palace. She’ll find a way to get in bed with him no matter how she gets there. She smiled crazily as she got in the carriage.

Yizhen frowned at the door. He doesn’t understand what changed with Zhao Wei. He could see obsession in her eyes. But how can it be born in a day? Just yesterday his brother was fuckin her in her palace.

Unless she was playing his brother or maybe she wants them both? No matter what it is he won’t give in. She’s not the one he wants.

Zhao Xu’s study room was opened and Ding Liren entered. He stood up and bowed to him. Once Liren was sitting Zhao Xu took a seat.

Liren said with a smirk:

"I didn’t know your son could fight."

Zhao Xu looked down angry, he didn’t either. When he saw the way he moved and that fake tactic to lose to give the finishing blow he was stunned.

He said through gritted teeth:

"I didn’t either."

Liren raised an eyebrow and asked skeptically:

"He’s your son and you didn’t know?"

Zhao Xu can see that he’s starting to doubt him. He’s bound to die once he finds out his daughter is in love with the Emperor now.

Thankfully he wasn’t there during the banquet or he would’ve clearly seen it.

He doubted A-Xuan when he told him even after seeing the note, but when he saw the horror in her eyes when the Emperor was almost attacked he knew it was the truth.

"Your highness I swear I didn’t. You know I want you on the throne more than anyone. I’m even willing to sacrifice my firstborn son."

Ding Liren looked at him for a few seconds then away. He knows he wants him on the throne not because he thinks he deserves it but because he wants to be the minister of officials.

Honestly, he doesn’t care what his motives are as long as he helps. But this evening was a disaster and he even had to come to see him. This is dangerous and if anyone finds out about this they’ll be labeled as traitors.

But he’ll never give up he is the rightful son of heaven.

"I have an idea."

Zhao Xu became excited:

"What?"

"Since A-Xuan is in the imperial palace and he’s unreachable let’s just aim for my brother when he’s alone."

"You mean at night?"

Ding Liren smiled.

"Exactly, we’ll ask Zhao Wei to drug him while she has dinner with him. She’ll leave and when he passes out the assassin will kill him."

"Wouldn’t poisoning be better?"

Ding Liren said ruthlessly:

"Poisoning takes time, I want him to die now."

"Give me the drug and I’ll give it to my daughter. You should stay away from the imperial palace or hers to avoid suspicions."

Zhao Xu only wants him to stay away so he won’t find out how much Zhao Wei loves the emperor. He’s sure he can talk to her and make her see reason.

Ding Liren handed him a vial and ordered coldly:

"Do not mess this up."

Zhao Xu took it and nodded.

The next day A-Xuan went to court bummed. He still put on a serious face and listened to the minister’s talk for hours. Even if the mission is going well he is becoming frustrated.

He wants to be close to his husband to make sure of something since his discovery, but he can’t yet. Yizhen looked at A-Xuan’s sad face wondering what’s wrong with him.

After morning court Zhao Xu left for his daughter’s palace. He entered and emptied the room. He sat in front of her and handed her the vial.

She took it and asked:

"What is this?"

"This is a sleeping drug for the Emperor."

She tilted her head.

"Why?"

"You don’t need to know why just put it in his wine once you have dinner with him tonight."

Zhao Wei couldn’t hear anything she was only focused on the vial. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Once she uses that with the Emperor she’ll be able to make a baby with him and she’ll never leave his side again. They’ll be together forever with their baby.

She smiled and said:

"I will father."

Zhao Xu looked at her excited face and felt relief. He knew he could convince her.

"I knew I could count on you."

Zhao Wei happily got up and said:

"Father you should leave I’m going to get prepared for tonight."

Seeing her enthusiasm Zhao Xu left satisfied. After Zhao Wei sent an envoy to the Emperor and he agreed to have dinner with her she jumped cheerfully up and down.

Yizhen was in his imperial study looking at the note Zhao Wei’s envoy had sent. He knows what she is up to and he’ll gladly play along.

Furthermore knowing how arrogant his brother is he knows that he’ll want to be the one to kill him.

He’ll finally be done with them tonight. But first, he has to send A-Xuan away, in case they go after him too.
