Chapter 93: 9.3 Chance encounter

The rest of the meal ensued in silence, when A-Xuan was done he took his computer and went back to the bridal suite.

He has no intention of giving it to Elwyn he can sleep in the guest room. He sat on his bed and turned on the computer. He checked his father’s company.

Lex owns multiple buildings he rents and buys. He also resale houses like mansions or villas. He looked at his latest project and laughed.

This is why he wanted Drea to get married now. His latest endeavor is land he purchased for millions.

He already built a hotel, this is the biggest project he undertook. He needs Grey Media to help with the publicizing of the hotel.

He invested all his money in it, if it fails he’ll go bankrupt. In OG TL after Drea came back and received the hand transplant, he became even more famous.

Elwyn’s father Jax managed to get Kalel Grey to publicize Lex’s new hotel and it made millions. After a year of running it, he was able to retire and live the rest of his life in peace.

It just cost him the life of his son which he couldn’t care less about. After finding a few pieces of information A-Xuan smiled.

He checked on Kalel Grey to see if he could become an ally. After investing A-Xuan shut down his computer and went to sleep.

After that first horrible night, things became better between him and Elwyn. Even if he would stay in his room often or go out he still had every meal with him.

Over time the meals became louder, they would talk and sometimes laugh. The day before they had to go back for the gala A-Xuan decided to go out and eat at a restaurant alone.

When he entered he gave his name and sat. He had his cell phone on and waited for the waiter.

Kalel was sitting in a restaurant waiting for Elwyn. Did his uncle think he believed him when he said that they randomly chose this city and time for his honeymoon?

The whole company and all the subsidiaries knew he had to come to Hawaii to deal with the president who runs his sub here.

He knows how much his uncle wants his validation, if it was just him he wouldn’t even give him the time of day. He only decided to meet Elwyn because of his mother.

He doesn’t listen to anyone and does what he pleases except when it comes to his mother.

He knows how much she feels guilty for him missing his childhood when his father became sick.

He doesn’t care about that and he never will but his mother does and he cares for her. It’s that simple.

"Can I have a hand-dived scallop please?"

Kalel followed the sound of the cold voice and his eyes fell on a young man.

The youth thanked the waiter he looked down at his cell phone. After a while, he seemed to feel his stare because he looked up.

A-Xuan looked at the man with nautical blue eyes. From his posture, you could see that he was tall and athletic. He had dark wavy hair and pursed lips.

He seemed like the kind of person you wouldn’t want to mess with, despite his youthfulness it was clear that he had experience.

Kalel gazed into his green eyes and couldn’t bring himself to look away. The youth appeared uncomfortable and looked down his eyes still as cold as ice.

Kalel called a waiter to order, he won’t wait for Elwyn any longer. He’s lucky his mother likes him or he wouldn’t be here.

Elwyn arrived at the same time as the waiter.

"I’m sorry for being late cousin."

He sat and smiled apologetically. Kalel ignored him and ordered:

"I’ll have the hand-dived scallop."

Elwyn took the menu and ordered.

"I’ll take the bluefin tuna."

The waiter nodded and left. Elwyn explained:

"I’m sorry I wanted to inform Drea that I was leaving but I couldn’t find him."

He looked as Kalel nodded absent-mindedly. He inquired:

"How did it go at the company?"

Elwyn waited for his cousin to answer but he never did. He had his gaze fixed on someone.

He followed it and it fell on A-Xuan, he was looking at his cell phone as his chin rested on his other hand. So that’s where he went.

He wanted to let him know he was going out to eat dinner since they usually eat together. Turns out he felt tired after being cooped up in his room for so long.

Kalel watched as Elwyn got up and walked to the man. A-Xuan looked up surprised at Elwyn.

"What are you doing here?"

Elwyn smiled and replied:

"I’m having dinner with my cousin, join us."

A-Xuan stood up and followed him. Elwyn pulled his chair and he sat looking down. Elwyn was about to leave when A-Xuan held onto his sleeve with a frown.

Elwyn explained:

"I’ll go tell the waiter to bring your food here."

A-Xuan let go and nodded. Elwyn looked at him amused and left. Kalel watched the interactions with narrowed eyes.

He questioned:

"What’s your name?"

A-Xuan looked up and said coldly:

"Drea."

Kalel nodded thoughtfully and pondered:

"You’re the one Elwyn married."

A-Xuan looked down tight lip. Elwyn came back and introduced:

"Cousin this is Drea my wife Drea this is my cousin Kalel."

A-Xuan looked up and smiled shyly.

"It’s nice to meet you Kalel."

Kalel tilted his head and agreed:

"It’s nice to meet you too."

Elwyn looked at his cousin like he was looking at an alien. That man wouldn’t say more words than he needs to and he never lies.

If he doesn’t like someone or something about them he would just say it no matter how hurtful.

Even his scary father is afraid of him, he would laugh at him for being afraid of a 23-year-old if he wasn’t either. But this time he seemed sincere when he spoke.

When he arrived he was staring at A-Xuan and even when he brought him to their table he didn’t stop. His he interested in him?

He looked at his cousin who not once stopped looking at A-Xuan until the waiter came with their food. Elwyn grabbed the plate and put it in front of A-Xuan.

He looked back smiling at him when he did and Elwyn felt the need to caress his head. He didn’t and grabbed his plate.

Elwyn doesn’t know why but since that dinner he does feel guilty for everything they’re putting him through. He never asked for any of this and when it happened not once did he complain.

After that, he still ate with him every day and talked to him. He looked at A-Xuan’s plate and then Kalel’s and saw that they both ordered the same.
