The City's Strongest Son-in-law
Chapter 1191 - 1190: The Greatest Secret
"Elder Wu, what do you mean? I want to know too!" Yin Zhengyuan looked at him, dissatisfied.
Elder Wu didn’t spare even a glance at Yin Zhengyuan and directly said, "Hmph, Su Changfeng is from Shangyun Pavilion. Does he have to tell you anything?"
"You..." Yin Zhengyuan’s eyes widened in anger. He was intensely curious. If he couldn’t figure out what Su Changfeng experienced in the Infinite Cave, he probably wouldn’t be able to sleep.
"Let’s go, together. I happen to have a lot to ask you guys too." Su Changfeng said helplessly.
Upon hearing this, Yin Zhengyuan smugly glanced at Elder Wu. Since Su Changfeng agreed, he wondered what Elder Wu would say.
Elder Wu said nothing. The group headed to Shangyun Pavilion.
Su Changfeng narrated his experiences to them, telling them about encountering apes and lizards in the cave vividly, how they had internal conflict, and amidst their lack of vigilance, he left with Chen Qingqing.
He said it mainly to avoid mentioning the little snake. Although this explanation was somewhat forced, neither Elder Wu nor Yin Zhengyuan suspected anything.
In their eyes, Su Changfeng surviving the Infinite Cave was already a miracle. No matter what he encountered, it wasn’t surprising; internal conflict among creatures wasn’t hard to accept.
"Do such creatures exist in our world? And why would they be in the Infinite Cave?" Su Changfeng asked.
Now that he had left the Infinite Cave, he was considered Heavenly Level. There was no need to keep Tuo Shi’s secrets from him.
Elder Wu glanced at Yin Zhengyuan, sighed, and said, "Come with me to a place, and you’ll understand."
"You all go ahead; I won’t be joining." Yin Zhengyuan said.
After Yin Zhengyuan left, Elder Wu led Su Changfeng to the location he mentioned and couldn’t help but ask, "With Yin Zhengyuan here earlier, I didn’t ask further. Now, there’s no one else. Honestly, tell me — are you sure what you said earlier is true? Is it everything?"
"Of course it is." Su Changfeng replied without hesitation, "Though I don’t understand why they fought internally, that’s the truth. Initially, I thought I was certainly doomed, but I managed to escape."
Elder Wu nodded. Contending with such creatures was indeed beyond their abilities. Apart from the internal conflict mentioned by Su Changfeng, he couldn’t think of another possibility.
"Given the disturbance a few days ago, everyone thought you were doomed. I had lost hope, but unexpectedly, the situation turned around, and you emerged alive." Elder Wu said with a smile, his demeanor relaxed like never before.
The despair and confusion of recent times seemed to have vanished.
"Elder Wu, does this world have many secrets? The creatures in the Infinite Cave, they aren’t from Earth, right?" Su Changfeng asked.
"You’ll know soon, no rush." Elder Wu replied.
Finally, they stopped outside the Forbidden Land.
Elder Wu looked at the entrance of the cave and told Su Changfeng, "This is Tuo Shi’s Forbidden Land; inside are Tuo Shi’s highest secrets. Without orders from me or Yin Zhengyuan, no one can come here."
"Elder Wu, hurry up. You’re killing me with suspense." Su Changfeng said helplessly.
Elder Wu nodded and then led Su Changfeng and Chen Qingqing into the cave.
Upon entering the cave, Su Changfeng sensed an unusual energy fluctuation and couldn’t help but glance at Chen Qingqing, whose expression was also solemn.
Finally, the three stopped at the place where the energy fluctuated, staring at the area resembling a black hole, their eyes almost popping out.
In the endless darkness, there seemed to be an existence that strongly challenged their current understanding.
Just as Elder Wu was about to explain to Su Changfeng, the previously calm black hole suddenly became agitated, seemingly due to Su Changfeng’s arrival, causing some change.
However, Elder Wu evidently didn’t associate the two, and upon seeing this, his expression changed, and he said gravely, "It seems those things will soon appear."
Su Changfeng’s mindset was entirely different from Elder Wu’s. Despite never having encountered this before, for some reason, he felt a vague sense of familiarity, without fear or panic, like an unbreakable connection.
Chen Qingqing felt similarly, sensing something in the black hole was attracting her.
"Elder Wu, what is this?" Su Changfeng asked, puzzled.
Elder Wu, his face still showing fear, took a deep breath to suppress his inner tumult and explained, "As you see, this place leads to a different world we call the Outer Domain. This is the significance of Tuo Shi’s existence, its greatest secret."
Outer Domain!
Actually, while in the Infinite Cave, Su Changfeng had this vague idea; after all, he hadn’t heard of such creatures existing in this world.
But now, with the idea confirmed, he still felt surreal due to the immense impact of this revelation.
"Outer Domain, the giant creatures from the Infinite Cave, are they from the Outer Domain?" Su Changfeng asked.
Elder Wu nodded and said, "The creatures in the Infinite Cave are remnants from the Outer Domain invasion, so only those who successfully advance to Heavenly Level members can learn Tuo Shi’s secrets."
Su Changfeng took a deep breath, feeling strange about the connection. The energy fluctuation hadn’t ceased, and he could deeply sense that link, as if something opposite was summoning him.
But Elder Wu’s expression was ugly. In his view, the intense energy fluctuation signaled imminent movement on the other side, and those things could reappear at any moment, posing a severe crisis to Tuo Shi.
However, Tuo Shi currently couldn’t muster enough experts to counter them.
"It seems the Outer Domain entities will return soon. I must implement my plan immediately." Elder Wu said, suddenly turning a serious gaze towards Su Changfeng.
Su Changfeng looked at Elder Wu with bright eyes, asking, "Plan? What plan?"
"Over the years, to tackle the Outer Domain crisis, many Tuo Shi members have ventured into the Outer Domain, trying to uncover its true nature. I’ve chosen you because I hope you can bear the heavy responsibilities of Shangyun Pavilion."
Su Changfeng was surprised, originally thinking Elder Wu intended him to go to the Outer Domain, realizing instead that Wu was planning to entrust Shangyun Pavilion to him, hinting Wu himself might be going to the Outer Domain.
Su Changfeng reassessed the black hole in front of him, understanding the danger inside, which might be a one-way journey.
Yet, the sense of summons was growing stronger, making it impossible to deny the relation; he could be sure of a connection there, at least he felt no fear inside.
