The Clown's Harem - Chapter 40: Troubles With Blood
Solomon arrived at the location of his pink tent and slipped inside without any passer-by being able to notice.
Once inside, he immediately noticed that there was a figure sitting in the stands of the circus.
Recently, he had been able to tell who it was based on where they sat, though he did not rely on this completely, as he thought eventually the seating arrangement might change.
This time, however, he guessed that it was Aurora Bright.
Once seated, he gestured for the woman to join him.
"Come and sit," he spoke calmly, and the figure did.
Once opposite the clown, the pink clouds surrounding her form slowly dissipated, revealing the student of religious knowledge.
It was clear that she had offered the prayer from the comfort of whichever bed she was sleeping in, as she was dressed in white pyjamas rather than her student outfit.
The pyjamas consisted of white shorts that revealed her beautiful, tanned, plump legs, and a button-up pyjama top made from soft cotton that stretched around the chest area due to her large breasts. Unfortunately, it was buttoned up right to the top, revealing none of her skin.
She wasn’t wearing her glasses today, and her blonde hair was tied up in a bun above her head.
When she spotted the clown, she smiled and said respectfully,
"Thank you for answering my prayer, Great Clown."
Great Clown? I have not heard that title yet. I like it.
Solomon smiled proudly. "Thank you for your prayer."
As always, he said nothing else. It’s his worshippers’ job to ask what they wanted from him.
From the look on her face, it seemed that Aurora did have something to say.
"Mister Clown, are you aware of the current problems taking place in Redsham? If you are, then please forgive me for suggesting that you might not be."
Solomon found himself raising a brow.
Doesn’t she know? There are so many problems in Redsham!
"You will have to be more specific," he said calmly.
So Aurora elaborated.
"The problem of the blood-suckers."
His interest was immediately piqued.
Vampires? I shouldn’t be surprised. If zombies can exist, then why not vampires too?
Solomon did not confirm or deny whether or not he knew about the vampires. Instead, he simply said,
"Tell me what you know about them."
So Aurora did.
"In the recent news, there have been a few bodies found lying in their beds, with teeth marks on their necks and skin pale from having the blood drawn from it. Many people have their speculations, but for those who study religion, like myself, we have strong ideas as to what they are... We believe they are worshippers of the God of Blood."
Solomon remained silent and let her continue. He knew nothing of this topic and wished to gain as much information on it as he could, especially if it was related to a fellow god. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"Nobody but the blood-suckers knows the true name of their god. He is a secret god, who we do not even know prayers for. He is not one of the Pillar gods worshipped by any of the world’s kingdoms, after all. Of course, that does not stop him or her from leaving their mark on the world."
"As for their plans in the city? I have no clue. Similar cases have shown up in the past and eventually die down. Perhaps that is the case today. However, the news also says that the city is more nervous than ever, as they no longer have faith in the Order of Restoration."
The Order of Restoration was the official army of the Olarian Kingdom. They were trained fighters with access to the veins of restoration.
However, with Juniper abandoning the city, the order has been left weaker than ever.
Solomon scratched his chin.
It only makes sense for the city to be afraid. If the God of Blood knows about the kingdom’s lack of power, the vampires suddenly showing up makes a lot of sense...
Until we sort out this problem, the kingdom will continue to be targeted by those aware of its weaknesses.
Curse you, Juniper. Where are you?
"That is all the information I have, Great Clown. I hope that some of it might have been useful, even to a god as knowledgeable as yourself."
Actually, I had no knowledge of this at all.
The clown nodded his head.
"It does not matter whether or not I knew this information. It is about sentiment. I appreciate your help and encourage you to continue doing so," he explained in a cool manner.
Just like that, he had figured out a way to have others give him information without seeming like he lacked knowledge himself. He could tell them to feed him information on the idea that it was being done purely as a sign to show their devotion.
For example, Juniper, God of Restoration, accepted acts of worship through the form of restoring things. People could do things such as fix plots of green land that had become riddled with weeds and fill them with flowers, or perhaps try their best to heal wounds through natural means.
Although the god had more than enough power to do these things herself with ease, she appreciated the humans’ gestures purely out of sentiment.
Solomon would do a similar thing, but with information and knowledge.
Aurora’s face lit up with a smile as the clown expressed that he was pleased with her.
Then he noticed her look to the ground and blush slightly.
There was clearly something on her mind, so he waited for her to speak.
"M-Mister Clown, I never properly thanked you for saving me from Ba’al. I have been thinking about ways that I could..."
Oh?
Solomon remained silent and allowed her to continue.
"I remembered what you asked me to do the first time we met... Does the clown enjoy things of that nature?"
He does.
"What are you suggesting?" Solomon asked calmly, urging the woman to speak her mind.
So she did.
"I would like to give you a blowjob."
