The Delicate Darling with Her Rough Man
Chapter 417 - 413: Baseless Slander
Yun Hao said in a deep voice, "Gu Jiaojiao, you should leave Leng Yuan."
"Yun Zhiqing, what nonsense are you talking about?"
Gu Jiaojiao’s expression immediately turned cold. She thought he had sought her out for something important, but it turned out to be just a load of rubbish.
’She and her man got along great. Why would she leave Leng Yuan? Is he crazy?’
Gu Jiaojiao couldn’t be bothered to listen to his nonsense and turned to leave.
Yun Hao immediately grew anxious.
"Am I wrong? Leng Yuan is so cold, and he even killed a wild boar. He has violent tendencies. It’s dangerous for you to be with him."
"He might like you now, so he hasn’t laid a hand on you. But what if one day you make him angry? What if he hits you?"
"You’re just a girl. How could you possibly be a match for him?"
Gu Jiaojiao stopped in her tracks, turned, and glared at Yun Hao. Her tone was frosty. "Shut your mouth."
"What does it have to do with you whether my man is cold or not? It’s not like you have to live with him."
"Yun Zhiqing, in this entire Qingshan Team, you’re the last person who has any right to criticize my man. If he hadn’t saved you back then, that wild boar would have trampled you to death long ago."
"Slandering your own savior. You’re really something else."
"A grown man with no shame. My man shouldn’t have saved you in the first place. Then you wouldn’t have the chance to stand here and spew such baseless slander."
’My man only hits those who deserve it. He’s never so much as laid a finger on me. If I even get a paper cut, he feels heartbroken.’
’Who gave this guy the nerve to slander my man right to my face?’
"Yun Zhiqing, if you don’t get out of my sight right now, I’ll have my man pay you a visit at the Educated Youth quarters to ’discuss’ what happened today."
Gu Jiaojiao stared at Yun Hao, her presence overwhelming.
Yun Hao still wanted to say something more.
"Still not leaving?" Gu Jiaojiao snapped.
Yun Hao’s face turned ugly. He gave Gu Jiaojiao a deep look, a hint of disappointment in his eyes.
’He was only saying all this for her own good, but she was completely ungrateful.’
In the end, Yun Hao was still wary of Leng Yuan, so he pressed his lips together and turned to leave.
Seeing him go, Gu Jiaojiao headed straight home.
’I shouldn’t have stopped to listen to his nonsense. It completely ruined my mood.’
Yun Hao had only walked a short distance and rounded a corner when he saw Leng Yuan standing by the wall. For a moment, he froze.
’How long has this man been standing here?’
"When... when did you get here?"
Hearing this, Leng Yuan turned his head. His gaze was dark and devoid of any emotion as he looked at Yun Hao, sending a shiver through his heart. It was utterly terrifying.
An image flashed through Yun Hao’s mind: Leng Yuan’s vicious glare as he swung a sickle and split open the wild boar’s head. The warm brains and blood had splattered all over his face, and he could almost smell the foul, coppery stench again.
Yun Hao’s face turned deathly pale. He looked up and met Leng Yuan’s eyes.
Leng Yuan’s expression as he killed the boar was no different from the way he was staring at him now.
In an instant, Yun Hao’s legs went weak.
"Leng Yuan, h-hitting people is wrong."
The man turned a deaf ear and walked straight toward Yun Hao, his entire being radiating an overwhelming and oppressive aura.
Yun Hao couldn’t help but stumble back a few steps. Stared down by those dark, heavy eyes, he suspected Leng Yuan’s fist would land on him at any second.
’This was the man whose fists had beaten a wild boar to death.’
"Don’t... don’t hit me. I was wrong."
Yun Hao tripped and fell to the ground. He glanced around and saw no one. The panic in his heart made him beg for mercy.
Looking at such a pathetic Yun Hao, Leng Yuan lost all interest in even hitting him.
"So spineless, yet you still dare to go spout nonsense in front of my woman."
"Yun Zhiqing, if you don’t want to die, stay away from my woman. If there’s a next time, don’t blame me for not being polite."
He leaned down, his voice low and deep, yet laced with killing intent.
