The Evil God Summoned by the Saintess
Chapter 161 - 159: Report and Rumors
When Hilia crossed the mist and appeared outside the ruins, she saw Blake standing with a blank expression by the roadside, glaring at them.
"Mr. Blake?" Hilia paused for a moment and greeted him, "Good morning, are you here for an adventure too?"
"I..." Blake was a bit on edge, and he said irritably, "Look at what you’ve done."
Hilia and the others exchanged glances, and finally, Benovia stood up, smiling, "Principal, you’re here just in time. We’ve just completed the trial assigned by the school and obtained an item from that leader-level demon. We wanted you to identify it."
Hilia took out the Sea Serpent’s Eye, and Blake’s gaze was immediately drawn to it.
He took the Sea Serpent’s Eye and examined it carefully.
After a moment of contemplation, he said, "This should be the Sea Serpent’s Eye? But didn’t the sea sirens disappear long ago after the storm devoured the sea? Why is there still a sea siren here?"
"However, judging by the quality of this Sea Serpent’s Eye, it has signs of being corrupted and no longer reaches its original strength, even Tier Four might be a stretch. But for you, it still makes for excellent magic staff inlay material."
After saying this, Blake returned the Sea Serpent’s Eye.
"Alright, it’s fine now, put away your magic puppets and come with me, let’s head back to the camp."
After Hilia and the others put away their magic puppets, he waved his hand, using magic to lift them and swiftly return to the school’s campsite.
He called over Abros, "The Holy Daughters have returned safely, tell everyone to stop searching."
Abros glanced at Hilia and the others, nodded, and went off to carry out his tasks.
Blake looked at Doris, who was being carried by Benovia, "What’s her situation?"
"Here’s what happened..."
Hilia briefly described the events of last night, omitting the thrilling battles, just mentioning how they went to find Doris and discovered Doris fighting a corrupted sea siren. They worked together to kill the sea siren and accidentally discovered that this sea siren was the very culprit causing the pollution to spread.
Although Hilia intentionally left out certain details, Blake still asked, "How strong was that sea siren?"
"Average, easy to kill," Hilia said lightly.
"Did you record it?"
"Yes, I did."
Hilia projected the recordings from her wrist device into the air.
At this moment, several instructors came in from outside. Seeing Hilia playing the recordings, they didn’t say anything and watched together.
The battle with Terksey didn’t look very long, but replaying it revealed that they actually fought for over two hours.
These two hours were spent continuously wearing down Terksey’s life force, gradually pushing it to the brink of death.
Hilia fast-forwarded through this part, only slowing down at Terksey’s final rampage.
Blake and the many instructors watched intently. When they saw Hilia momentarily stunned by the sea siren’s scream and then quickly ’wake up,’ maneuvering the puppet to narrowly dodge what was almost a certain capture, followed by calmly setting up ten ice walls, and then tossing the large sword to the puppet for the final strike, all the instructors showed expressions of surprise.
Blake looked at Hilia with a different gaze.
"I thought you only had talent in arrays, but your combat talent is quite strong too."
In the battle, Hilia not only showed perfect teamwork in the early and mid-stages, but also her solo takedown at the end demonstrated her ability to think quickly. Particularly at the end, figuring out how to avoid the sea siren’s grasp in such a short time is beyond ordinary people.
Tossing the sword for the final kill was something pure mages would never think of — pure mages would surely rely on their own magic to finish the enemy rather than using others’ weapons.
Like Blake, who would consider using a sword or other weapons an insult to his magic.
A pure magic master shouldn’t use any weapons other than a magic staff!
The correct approach would be to smash the enemy’s head with a magic staff!
After the recording ended, the entire meeting room fell into silence.
Doris was already taken by the instructors for final treatment.
Phil had actually treated her wounds quite well, and the reason she was still asleep was mainly due to the exhaustion from last night.
Not just Doris, even Phil, Encore, and Benovia were not in great spirits. Only Hilia, who had managed a brief nap, felt somewhat energetic, but only in comparison to Benovia and the others.
The instructors noticed their condition wasn’t great, and Blake pondered for a moment and said reluctantly, "Send this record to the reporting instructors, keep the Sea Serpent’s Eye, and let the instructors do your grades. You should rest first, after you’re well-rested, go to the reporting office to receive your evaluation."
"Okay, thank you, Mr. Blake~!"
The relieved girls all breathed a sigh of relief, with Benovia carrying Doris, and Hilia and the others left the meeting room, heading towards the dormitory.
At that moment, the school’s broadcast began, and hurried silhouettes of students started appearing around.
They curiously observed the five fatigued-looking girls, focusing particularly on Doris who was being carried.
They debated amongst themselves but had no idea what had happened.
While the school was searching for them, they were still in dreamland, naturally oblivious to the events.
However, once they left the school premises and ventured outside, they quickly picked up bits of information from various mercenaries or instructors’ unintentional revelations.
Some bored students quickly pieced together a "complete narrative" of the events from fragments of words.
The five powerful girls teamed up, after defeating over a thousand demons the previous day, felt the demons were too weak, decided to sneak out of school at midnight when demons were strongest, and went on a rampage in the ruins.
Rumor had it they killed another thousand demons!
The entire Lost Lighthouse was said to be cleansed of demons!
The tales gradually became exaggerated.
Countless classmates were discussing it.
But none of this concerned Hilia anymore.
As all other students began their new battles, they had already entered their dreams, sound asleep.
Until the afternoon, they gradually woke up.
For the first time sleeping so long during the day, the just-awakened Hilia felt her vision darkened, the more she slept, the more tired she felt.
She yawned, sat up, drooping her head, and then fell back.
"Forget it, so tired, not getting up."
Suddenly, a voice boomed in her mind.
"Get up!"
Hilia sprang up, looking around with closed eyes, "What? What?"
Rose said calmly, "You’re almost late for class."
Hilia instantly gained energy, flipping off the bed, then paused.
"Wait, isn’t it vacation?"
Then she remembered what was going on.
"Mr. Rose, are you a demon!"
