The Extra Villain: I Made a Contract With The Dragon Empress!
Chapter 378: Beach
Merlin, Catrine, Luna, Nysera, Nivis, Liora, and Monica were led by Margaret and Lisa to a large villa located at the center of the island.
Although the island looked remote, its facilities were surprisingly well-developed.
Near the dock, a stone-and-asphalt path stretched ahead, leading directly to the villa.
In addition, the island's dense trees had been carefully trimmed and maintained, creating a truly beautiful view.
When the girls spotted the villa in the distance, their admiration reached its peak.
"Wow! What a huge villa! No—calling it a villa is a bit of a misnomer. This is clearly a mansion!" Nivis exclaimed in awe.
She had been born into an ordinary family—one could even say a poor one—so her view of the world was quite limited.
She realized that her friends—Merlin, Luna, and the others—were wealthy nobles far above her.
That was why she sometimes felt inferior and lacked confidence. Fortunately, they were always kind to her and never looked down on her.
And now, for the first time, she could truly see what "rich people" meant.
"Hehehe! Don't get too excited yet, Nivis. You'll be even more amazed once you see the inside," Margaret said proudly.
Nivis wasn't bothered by her arrogance. Instead, she felt even more excited.
Luna rolled her eyes and snorted coldly.
"What a shameless pretender."
Even so, she had to admit the villa was truly stunning. It was no less impressive than the small mansions owned by the Tharot family in the Holy Kingdom of Aldoria.
The girls stepped inside and were immediately greeted by several maids.
"Welcome, Young Lady Margaret, and welcome to all of you," they said respectfully.
"Thank you," Margaret replied politely. "Have you prepared rooms for us?"
The head maid, Teresia, lifted her head and smiled.
"Yes, Young Lady. Please come in."
With that, they entered the villa and headed to their respective rooms.
The villa was enormous, with more than thirty rooms. It was certain that each of them would have their own.
Merlin washed his face in the bathroom, then walked over to the bed and flopped onto it.
As his body sank into the incredibly soft mattress, a smile spread across his face.
"I feel like I could sleep forever," he murmured.
The bed was completely different from the one on the ship. Its softness and comfort made his eyelids grow heavy.
However, less than five minutes into his rest, a knock came from outside.
"Big brother, let's go see the beach!"
Merlin opened his eyes and immediately recognized the voice—it was Catrine.
"Is it just you out there?" he asked.
Before Catrine could answer, other voices chimed in.
"I'm here!"
"Me too!"
"And me!"
The three voices belonged to Liora, Monica, and Nivis.
Since the four girls had already planned to go to the beach, Merlin had no choice but to force his tired body up.
He walked to the door and opened it.
The girls were still wearing the same clothes as before, so Merlin immediately said, "Go change into your swimsuits."
They didn't refuse and nodded in unison. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
After the four girls left, Merlin rubbed his chin and muttered, "I'm sure they'll look absolutely stunning in their swimsuits."
A grin slowly spread across his lips.
"Hehehe… I can't wait to see them."

The sun shone brightly in the sky. However, unlike the scorching heat of summer, its warmth wasn't too harsh. In fact, the constant sea breeze made the air feel slightly chilly.
"Hahaha! Catch this!"
"Ouch! You're cheating, Nivis!"
"Hehehe! Sorry! Let's do it again!"
The cheerful voices of the girls echoed across the beach. Nivis, Catrine, Luna, Margaret, Monica, Nysera, and Liora were all happily playing in the sand and surf.
They were wearing swimsuits that revealed their beautiful fair skin.
Meanwhile, Merlin lay back and relaxed beneath an umbrella, wearing only knee-length shorts and a pair of sunglasses.
"Merlin, don't you want to join us?"
The voice came from his right. Merlin turned his head and saw Luna and Catrine standing beside him.
His eyes widened, and a look of admiration appeared on his face.
Luna was wearing a pink swimsuit that made her look both sexy and charming.
She had a slender figure, yet her chest and hips were full. Her pink hair was braided and draped over her right shoulder.
Meanwhile, Catrine was wearing a light-blue swimsuit. Compared to Luna's, her outfit was more modest, revealing only a bit of cleavage and her long, fair legs.
Even so, her cold aura created a strangely captivating contrast that was hard to describe.
Her silver hair was tied into two braids, making her look both cute and alluring.
"Play?" Merlin took off his glasses and asked, "Play what?"
"Hmmm…" Luna rubbed her chin, as if she couldn't think of anything.
To be honest, aside from playing in the sand and water, she didn't really know what else people usually did at the beach.
"How about we play volleyball?" Merlin suggested.
"Volleyball?" Luna and Catrine tilted their heads in confusion.
Merlin smiled and stood up.
"In short, it's a ball game played between two teams of five or six people," Merlin explained.
However, he was too lazy to go into detail. He walked over to them and lightly tapped their foreheads with his index finger.
Both of them flinched. A moment later, their eyes widened, and they exchanged glances.
"Merlin, just now…" Luna began, but Merlin cut her off.
"I transferred the memories to you," he said calmly. "That way, I don't have to explain everything, and you can understand it right away."
"Memory Transfer" was a new spell Merlin had created. Previously, he had also developed another spell—Gravity Magic.
It was a spell based on the general concept of gravity.
Although it wasn't meant for combat, Memory Transfer was extremely useful, especially in situations like this.
Without needing to explain anything, Merlin could make others understand instantly, which was incredibly practical.
Luna and Catrine stood frozen in place. They exchanged glances, as if confused and unsure of what to say.
Creating magic sounded simple, but in reality, it was incredibly difficult. Even those considered "geniuses" weren't necessarily capable of doing it.
A spell had to be formed through complex formulas and careful experimentation, often requiring more than a year—or even longer—to complete.
Yet Merlin could create magic with ease. What's more, the spell he created involved memories, a field most mages avoided at all costs.
The slightest mistake, and the magic could backfire on both the caster and the target.
But then again, that boy was Merlin.
What was impossible for him?
After a moment, the two of them calmed down and smiled at the same time, as if to say, "That's just how he is, isn't it?"
