These things made her admire your reputation, then found out you share the same birthday. It made her both respectful and somewhat competitive. Since she achieved through her efforts, while you were born with a silver spoon. So, she came to Paradise Group to observe your skills, to see if you succeed on your merit or your father’s."

Hearing Li Yan’s explanation, Yurong was a bit surprised; she knew that she shared a birthday with Wen Qianyi from reviewing the records, perhaps why she liked her initially. But she didn’t expect Wen Qianyi joined Paradise Group for that reason.

"If you’re honest..." Yurong said, half laughing half crying, "It really is because of me. The company, however, benefits! Talents like her would get good pay anywhere; to invite her, timing matters."

"So, she naturally wants to compare abilities, won’t harm the company. Talents have pride, disdain for wrongdoing. Here, you can trust them as subordinates or friends; they can be your strong support."

Li Yan finished his cigarette and lit another, teasing, "Feeling better now? Thought I saw you as a lesbian, Yurong my dear?"

"You’re asking for it, provoking me again!" Yurong mockingly raised her fist.

"I’m puzzled that you... thought so much and reasonably too. Why didn’t you work well before?"
