Fortunately, not everything was bad for him. In just one month, he managed to go from rank 3 to rank 5. With a cultivation of rank 5, he could finally cross the world barrier without any problem.

He went to the Myriad Phenomenon Sect and successfully joined the sect. Then he invented a new talisman called the Luck Suppression Talisman.

When the meeting was going on, the sound of space shattering like glass rang suddenly out. Amelia didn’t know what the sound was, but Lady Red knew. It was because she knew what the sound of breaking glass signified that her face became contorted with fear.

Lady Red became frightened and immediately took to the air. She used all of her strength to fly through the air. She was flying as if she wanted to become a shooting star.

She wanted to get away from this location and whatever was about to happen as fast as she could. This was the thought on her mind when she suddenly found that someone had grabbed her head.

She didn’t even see how she had been grabbed. One moment, she was flying at the top speed. But the next moment, she had been grabbed like a chick.

When she saw that the person who had grabbed her was a divine being, she immediately began to plead for her life. She said, "Please spare me. I’ll do anything you want." 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

But Loki didn’t spare her. He hadn’t done everything he did to meet with her just to spare her. So he killed her without batting an eye. Then he proceeded to extract her mutated Life Ability from her.

After he got what he wanted, he sent Rusty away. As for himself, he tore through space and went to the third dimension. Then he began his journey through the third dimension to the small world.

Since he already knew exactly where the small world is, he didn’t need to spend nearly three weeks looking for it. He can just go directly to the small world without taking detours.

Of course, he would still need to pass through the world barriers. But that is not an issue for him.

When he passed through the world barrier again, he remembered how he said to Hammock, "Why would the crystal shield of small worlds be strong enough to block divine beings while the world barrier of a super world allows divine beings to pass through it anyhow? Is the crystal shield stronger or more effective as a means of defense than the wield barriers?"

Hammock had said, "Crystal shields are not stronger than world barriers in any way. They block divine beings because divine beings are dangerous to them, but they don’t block rank 5 and other weaker cultivators because mortals are not a threat to them."

"In the same way, world barriers of the Blessed Heaven World don’t block divine beings because no divine being is a threat to the world. What’s even more intimidating is that world barriers absorb the lifespan of everything that passes through them."

"At least, a crystal shield will let a mortal go without doing anything to the mortal. But to the world barriers, it doesn’t matter if you’re a mortal or a divine being. You must be willing to spend at least a hundred years passing through it."

"I believe that siphoning lifespan from people passing through makes for a more effective defense mechanism than what crystal shields do. It is not as if crystal shields can’t be broken. But even if you can pass through the world barrier, you would have to think twice about taking the trip."

What Hammock said about how effective the world barrier was as a wall took Loki by surprise. This was because his experience with the world barrier was vastly different from how Hammock put it.

When he finally recovered, he asked Hammock, saying, "Is there a way to go through the world barrier without consuming any lifespan?"

But Hammock had shaken his head and said, "I have never heard of anything remotely capable of doing something like that. In fact, there are no rumors about such a possibility, so I don’t think it is possible at all."

"It is basically a fact of life that the world barrier always drains lifespan and that the stronger you are, the more lifespan the world barrier will drain from you. So I can’t even say becoming stronger can help to overcome the drain on lifespan."

Then Hammock paused for a while before saying, "Maybe Dao Lords can manage it. I can’t say for sure that they can’t. After all, not much is known about Dao Lords."
