The rank 6 cultivator was a woman. She was the only woman among them, but she was perhaps the most ugly woman that he had ever seen in his entire life.

She was fat, and her skin had hardened into a chitinous exoskeleton. This exoskeleton was also full of holes through which insects could be seen entering and leaving her body.

Her eyes were large compound eyes. She had two antennas on her head. She had wings on her back, and her legs had become jointed appendages. So she looked like a fat humanoid insect.

Loki didn’t care about her appearance, though. She was ugly, but her ugliness didn’t induce anything in him. There was no feeling of disgust upon seeing her, just like there would have been no feeling of lust if she had been beautiful and naked.

What he was concerned with was her power. So he quickly used the Power Identification Ability on her.

His body looked like it was made of gems and precious stones of various colors. He was shining like the most precious object. Even his eyes were multicolored gems. And when he smiled, his teeth were revealed to be diamonds and sapphires.

As usual, Loki didn’t care much about appearance. But when he saw that this cultivator was a money cultivator and a rank 8 one at that, he began to have a bad feeling.

His suspicions were confirmed when he saw that this rank 8 money cultivator had a Cave Heaven that was exactly 2,843 million square kilometers in size. Then he saw that the amplification of his law fragments was 900%.

When he confirmed these two things, he thought to himself, ’Oh crap.’

He was feeling this way because he had seen the same exact size of Cave Heaven and amplification of law fragments from somewhere before.

The last time he saw a Cave Heaven of this size, he didn’t have a good experience. Now that he was seeing it again, he was having flashbacks.

While he was wondering what to say, he saw Nether Flame glance at him and glare at him pointedly.

This made Loki frustrated, and he said to himself, ’What is his problem now? What did I do wrong? It is just like him to behave weirdly.’

As soon as that thought went through his mind, he remembered the last time that Nether Flame had looked at him like that and said something cryptic.

At that time, Nether Flame had said, "Take it from me, kid, don’t disrespect or anger any rank 8 cultivator when you meet them. With the kind of pressure they are under, I’m sure that they are looking for any opportunity for them to be punished by the sect with demotion."

When he claimed to have taken note, Nether Flame shook his head and said, "We’ll see very soon if you truly took note of it."

When he remembered all of these things and linked Nether Flame’s warning to the identity of this rank 8 cultivator, he immediately realized why Nether Flame had been looking at him strangely.

This realization made him say to himself, ’Oh crap. Oh crap. Am I going to die now? Is this the end for me?’

He knew to expect to meet a rank 8 cultivator on this mission because the world they were invading was a large world and because the personnel requirement for the mission had been stated as a minimum of four divine beings with at least one of every rank from rank 6 to rank 8.

So he wasn’t surprised at all that a rank 8 cultivator was here. What he didn’t expect was to meet this particular rank 8 cultivator here. He wouldn’t have minded as much if Nether Flame hadn’t given him that strange warming.

A lot of things were going through his mind, but he still smiled and bowed in greeting before saying, "I am Gold Body. I am reporting for duty."

The ant woman seemed taken aback when she heard his title. She immediately said, "Aren’t you that new divine being? You replaced the old Gold Body. What are you doing here?"

As soon as she said that, she looked at the rank 8 cultivator fearfully. Then she kept her mouth shut and refused to say anything more.

But Loki still replied as if he didn’t notice anything, "I am here because I signed up for a sect mission."

The rank 8 cultivator that everyone was afraid of finally spoke. He smiled as he said, "Truly, the young are fearless. I am glad to see that you are brave."

Then he grinned at Loki as he said, "I know what you’re thinking. The answer is no. I won’t kill you because you had a hand in the death of the previous Gold Body."

"If I wanted to save Gold Body, I would have done so when Life’s Worth was harassing him. And even if I intend to kill you, I won’t do it now during a sect mission. So you have nothing to worry about from me."

He tapped his fingers made of precious metals and gems together as he said, "As long as you die during this mission, you will never have any dealings with me again. But if you survive, then we shall meet again."
