Percy turned towards Beelzebub again, and he saw that Beelzebub had already moved all the way back to the other side of the cave! It looked like Beelzebub was prepared to turn tail and run away immediately! Beelzebub couldn’t believe this! How was it possible for someone to be this adamant!?

"Verati, you bastard! Were you waiting these past ten years just to capture me again!? Is that it!? You were anticipating when I would return, weren’t you, Verati!? Well, here I am now! But I swear things won’t go like they did the last time! You caught me by surprise back then, but this time I’m prepared for you!"

Percy raised a brow in surprise, and he finally let out a calm sigh before saying.

"I really don’t think you understand what this is, Beelzebub. You’re nothing more than an annoying pest that I happened to stumble upon. You don’t really think about the pests you kill, do you? When you see a pest, you simply kill it."

Beelzebub felt an intense surge of anger flowing through his body when he heard this! Verati dared to call him a pest! Him!? The greatest dragon general of the demihuman race!? Beelzebub’s aura surged through the cave with intensity, and a massive ball of black energy rose from his body as his anger grew, but Percy didn’t look like he even noticed it! Percy simply continued to speak calmly.

"I’ll give you ten seconds, Beelzebub. Surrender and get back into the statue, and I won’t kill you here. I’ll allow you to see one more sunrise before you die. If you don’t get back into the statue in the next ten seconds, I’ll make sure you die right here."

DOON!

"FUCK YOU, VERATI!"

BOOM!

Beelzebub suddenly shot through the air and blasted out of the cave like a rocket! The entire Jacques mansion rumbled and shook before it exploded as Beelzebub erupted from the underground basement and began flying away! Beelzebub had weighed all his options right now, and he realized that his best choice right now was to run! The way he was now, Beelzebub didn’t stand a chance against Verati! So he would run away and hide until he found another way to win!

It was already nighttime, so the moon in the sky shone down on Beelzebub’s dark form like a beacon!

Five seconds later, Beelzebub was flying over the city of Aquinas at sonic speed, and people were looking up in shock as they wondered what was going on!

Seven seconds later, Beelzebub was passing over the city of Opal east of Aquinas!

Nine seconds later, Beelzebub had finally crossed the Great Verati River, and he was making his way across the city of Radcliff north of Opal!

Ten seconds later, Beelzebub felt death hovering above him!

Beelzebub turned around in shock, and he felt his eyes widen when he saw Verati floating behind him with his hand raised! Verati brought his hand down with an open palm, and a massive hand made from blue mana suddenly appeared above Beelzebub and smacked him!

SLAP!

BOOM!

Beelzebub flew down to the ground like a comet and slammed into a massive fountain in the middle of a large park! Beelzebub got up in a rush, and he held his face in shock as his mouth hung open! Verati dislocated his jaw!

"Kyaaa!"

"What’s going on!?"

"It’s a battle between mages! Run away!"

The sound of children and parents running away echoed through the park, and Beelzebub applied healing magic to his jaw as he scrambled towards one of the children and grabbed her!

"KYAA! MAMA!"

The girl screamed for her mother, but Beelzebub held his sharp nails to her neck and laughed while looking up at Verati!

"You fool! If you don’t let me go, I’ll kill her! This is what you fight for, isn’t it!? Your precious humans!"

[Dissect]!

Slash!

Beelzebub felt his eyes widen in shock as a sharp pain tore through his left arm, and Beelzebub looked down to see that the arm was gone! Verati had torn it off in literal seconds! The girl fell to the ground and ran away, and Beelzebub screamed in pain!

"YOU BASTARD!"

BOOM!

Verati appeared in front of Beelzebub and slapped him across the face and Beelzebub blasted through the air and out of the city! Beelzebub saw Verati flying toward him quickly, and Beelzebub decided that running was no longer an option! If Verati wasn’t going to let him go, then he would fight!

[Regenerate]!

Beelzebub’s missing arm suddenly regrew at a rapid pace, and Beelzebub opened his mouth and created a massive black magic circle in front of his face!

"DIE!!"

BOOM!

A blast of black fire flew from Beelzebub’s mouth before it slammed into Verati and threw him back! Beelzebub dashed forward and grabbed Verati by the face before taking him down to the ground and slamming him into a mountain!

BOOM!

The two fighters had finally gotten out of the major cities, and they were now on the outskirts of Radcliff, which was filled with wide plains and tall mountains! Beelzebub flew across the side of the mountain while dragging Verati along the mountain surface! Loud maniacal laughter echoed through the sky as Beelzebub threw Verati into the distance with a shout! Beelzebub reached his hand out, and a mana rope wrapped around Verati’s body to keep him in place! Three black balls appeared above Beelzebub’s head, and Beelzebub unleashed them towards Verati like missiles!

KA-BOOOM!

The night sky was suddenly painted with a massive explosion that echoed for miles in every direction, and Beelzebub flew through the fire and unleashed a blow on Verati’s face that threw him into another mountain!

Beelzebub didn’t understand why he had been so scared of this fool! The only reason Verati won against him in the past was because he had caught him off guard! The current Verati didn’t have the power to challenge him at all!

"YOU’VE GROWN WEAKER, VERATI! HAHAHAHAH!! PEACE HAS MADE YOU SOFT!"

A mana blade appeared in Beelzebub’s hand, and he flashed forward and slashed the mountain Verati had fallen into in half!

Rumble!

The entire mountain top began to fall to the ground, and Beelzebub raised his hand and began to gather an immense amount of mana on his palm! A massive black ball made from pure destructive mana began to form quickly! The ball was so large that its size rivalled the moon in the sky, and it swirled and danced with various dark magic spells that Beelzebub had infused into it! Beelzebub was a High Magus of the Seventh Realm with an affinity for [Destruction] magic, so every destructive spell he unleashed was in an entire league of its own! Beelzebub wasted no time as he put his hand down and threw the ball at Verati!

DOON!

The ball moved slowly, like a massive moon that was about to slam into a planet! It took its time to travel down towards the fallen mountain, and it was as if time itself stood still as the ball finally made contact with the Earth, and the world exploded!

KA-BOOOOOM!

A massive explosion flashed across the mountain plains and destroyed everything for five mile radius in every direction! The blast was so strong that the shockwave could be felt by people more than two cities away, and Beelzebub threw his head back and laughed in amusement! This is it! This is how their battle was always meant to be! The only reason he lost the previous battle was because Verati caught him by surprise.

"HAHAHAHAHAH! I KILLED VERATI! I KILLED VERATI! HAHAHAHAHAH!"

Beelzebub was completely mad with laughter at that moment, but he felt his laughter slowly dying out as he looked up into the sky and saw a figure looking down at him with a calm gaze.
