Chapter 127: The Light that feels like Monster

The villains stared at Lightnova in shock.

Her eyes stared down at the villains beneath her.

The five villains began trembling in fear.

The large muscular villain suddenly shouted.

"Everyone! Hide behind me!!"

Immediately, the other villains rushed behind the giant man’s body.

Lightnova opened her mouth and spoke coldly.

"How foolish of you to think you can survive this."

The moment she finished speaking, she lowered her right hand.

The hundreds of light swords orbiting her body instantly moved.

They shot toward the villains at terrifying speed.

The muscular villain tightened every muscle in his body.

’There are too many of those swords... I’m not sure I can withstand them...’

The swords flew closer and closer toward him.

He focused on them intensely.

But something strange happened.

The swords began slowing down.

Then they started merging together.

As if they were becoming one gigantic sword.

The moment he realized that, his eyes widened in horror.

"Everyone!! Don’t stand behind me!!"

Hearing his scream, the other villains became confused and failed to escape in time.

The enormous light sword pierced straight through the muscular villain’s body.

It completely penetrated him.

The gigantic sword of light tore through his chest.

The massive sword continued forward until it stabbed deep into the ground.

The remaining villains stared in disbelief.

The female villain muttered in horror.

"G-Giorno!!"

Glassy screamed.

"Ah... It seems you were fortunate my sword missed all of you."

Lightnova spoke coldly.

The large muscular villain—Giorno—was no longer moving.

He was dead.

"E-everyone! Run!!"

The fat villain screamed.

The fat villain and the female villain immediately fled in different directions.

Glassy, who was just as terrified, also began running away.

"All of you, run! I’ll hold her back!"

The spear-wielding villain shouted.

In truth, he was terrified as well.

But he had no other choice.

He crouched slightly, preparing to leap.

Then he jumped high into the air toward Lightnova with his spear aimed directly at her.

"Die!! Lightnova!!"

’Please!! At least let me hold her back for ten seconds!!’

He flew straight toward her.

But that decision was utterly foolish against Lightnova.

"How pathetic."

A sword of light instantly formed in Lightnova’s hand.

Without hesitation, she slashed through the spear villain’s body.

"W-what...?"

His body split cleanly into two halves before falling to the ground.

’I... couldn’t even hold her back for ten seconds...? She... she’s truly a monster...’

And just like that, the spear villain died miserably.

Afterward, Lightnova’s eyes focused on the fat villain fleeing in panic.

Her body instantly transformed into light itself and shot forward at incredible speed.

Lightnova passed directly through the fat villain’s neck.

The fat villain did not even realize that he was already dead.

His movements suddenly slowed.

He could no longer feel his body.

Then his vision began to feel strange.

’W-what...? Why do I feel like this...?’

His head rolled onto the ground.

He could even see his own headless body.

’N-no... That’s impossible...’

Finally, he realized why he could no longer feel his body.

His head had been separated from it.

His body collapsed to the ground.

And just like that, his life ended.

Lightnova remained in her light form as she flew rapidly toward the female villain who was desperately running away.

The female villain sprinted in terror.

Lightnova accelerated straight toward the woman’s heart.

Lightnova pierced directly through the female villain’s heart before continuing forward toward her next target.

The female villain trembled violently.

Blood began pouring from the massive hole in her chest left behind by Lightnova’s attack.

Slowly, she looked down at her chest.

Her eyes widened in overwhelming shock.

She wanted to scream.

But she could not.

Her heart had already been destroyed.

And with that, she collapsed onto the ground.

She died horribly.

In the distance, Glassy witnessed everything while continuing to run.

Tears streamed down his face.

"I’m sorry, Rossy... I’m sorry..."

he muttered while running as fast as he could.

Suddenly—

Lightnova blasted through both of Glassy’s legs.

His legs were severed instantly.

Glassy crashed onto the ground.

"AGH!!"

He screamed in shock and agony.

He quickly looked toward his legs.

"NO!!! MY LEGS!! AGH!! IT HURTS!!!"

Lightnova stopped directly in front of him.

Her body returned to its human form.

"I truly hate killing..."

she said coldly while staring down at Glassy beneath her.

"But all of you forced me to do it."

"P-please spare me..."

Glassy begged through tears and sobs.

"Typical villains. So full of confidence at the beginning, yet begging for mercy once cornered."

Lightnova pointed her sword of light toward Glassy’s head.

"N-no!! Please!! Spare me!! I promise I’ll change!! Please!!"

"Apologize to the innocent lives you murdered first."

And with those words—

Lightnova thrust her sword of light directly into Glassy’s head.

Killing him instantly in a gruesome manner.

Afterward, Lightnova looked around at her surroundings.

"Huh... I truly let my emotions take over..."

With that, Lightnova flew off once more to save the remaining civilians nearby.
