Picking up the communication device I let it blip a couple of times to indicate I was in position. The noise shouldn’t cause any distraction. After waiting for a few moments without anyone checking back in, I smiled to myself. Things were going smoothly.

With nothing else to do, I sat back and closed my eyes, entering my Mindspace. I could feel Sol being a bit active while I was traveling and I assumed she wanted her turn after Onyx, but to my utter delight and surprise, Sol wasn’t alone.

Not even bothering to call out to them, I materialised behind Kathrine and picked her up in a princess carry, hugging her close.

"Apollo! Hahaha!" She giggled in surprise before kissing me passionately. I fully embraced her kiss, losing myself in her lips for a moment before unexpectedly, she pulled back. "Apollo~ Calm down hehe. Sol told me you are getting ready for a mission? I shouldn’t be distracting you that way... Though I really want to."

I bit my lip and looked at her beautiful face, her eyes betrayed her words for a minute as she mimicked my expression. She then quickly spoke up. "So, how is my daughter? Is she safe? Well as safe as she can be? I don’t expect you to give her any preferential treatment. She is a strong girl, but it’s comforting knowing you are there with her, my love."

I smiled. Kathrine loves her children a lot. ’She is going to make an excellent mother for our children for certain.’ My thoughts poured into her bond to me and she blushed before wriggling herself free from my grasp, having a decent amount of self restraint, for once.

"She is strong, Kat. She is on a mission right now which I am acting as rear support." I said, prompting Kathrine to nod.

"Good. She handles herself well. Hehe. Who would have thought my daughter would be working directly underneath her new daddy in the field?"

Kathrine then looked at me and narrowed her eyes at me. "Have you been putting the moves on her at all? Be honest with me Apollo. Has she been putting the moves on you at all for that matter? I recall her looking at you a few times back when she was home."

"What? Kat of course not, we aren’t at sleepaway camp. We are at war. And I would never do that, you know that." I said, prompting Kathrine to fold her arms and frown at me.

"What? Are you saying my daughter isn’t attractive?"

Felt backed into a corner, I didn’t know what to say until Kathrine continued.

"Because if we are going to be having family fun together, you need to find her attractive. I can’t have you fucking someone you aren’t attracted to."

"Wait, what?" I said, genuinely confused, confusing Kathrine in the process.

"What what? I told you back when you first made me your love slave that I want Mama and my baby to be able to feel your love. To feel this paradise. I would include my Nathanos in the equation too, but he can just be a bio cultist. Still close enough. Did you forget about that?"

Kathrine simply giggled and hugged me again. "It’s ok. You have so much going on all the time. It’s natural to forget. I wont lie to you, I expected mum to put the moves on you already. Sol then spoke up, addressing Kathrine. "Yes she is. Apollo rewarded her for killing a great many Drakoshi elites... I am envious. I wish I could participate in battles and earn such rewards for myself, but my conditions for existing deny me such pleasures.In fact, Apollo has had quite a few encounters during this war. It is honestly impressive."

"Oh? Is that so? You should tell me about them when you have some free time." Kathrine said, winking playfully at me.

"Or with Apollo’s blessing" Sol interjected. "I could tell you all the fun details that have transpired thus far and allow Apollo to resume his role as war leader? What do you say, my Kindled?"

I had nothing to hide from Kathrine, she would probably find the whole Woad incident hilarious. "Sure, but Sol. Don’t go telling other people’s secrets. Even though you and Onyx know everything due to where you are at all times, It doesn’t give you the right to say things that were told to me in confidence. Understood?"

Sol simply nodded her head, her horns billowing slightly which I took for a silent yes.

Kathrine then proceeded to fold her arms in fake anger and pouted. I can’t believe you won’t let me in on the hot gossip. How cruel my master is..."

"Do you want to say that again?" I spoke sternly, appearing directly in front of Kathrine, whom proceeded to literally get weak in the knees and fall back onto her legs, the blush on her face giving away her liking of my aggression.

"N-No. Sorry master." She said, her eyes betraying her as they glanced at my waist.

I smirked at her before crouching down and kissing her on the forehead.

"Good."

I then stood back up. "Ok, then I will leave you two to chat. Kat, stay as long as you want, but I have been told the emotions in here get turbulent when I am in combat, so if that occurs, be prepared."

As I was about to leave my Mindspace, Kathrine cried out.

"Apollo, wait!"

I turned to her as she got back up to her feet. Waiting for her to continue.

"You didn’t actually tell me when I asked. Do you find my daughter attractive?"

I closed my eyes and pinched my glabella. "These Hyllus’ are seriously something else..."

Kathrine watched as Apollo left the Mindspace after saying that. "He didn’t answer... Big tease. I just want my daughter to be happy and find a good man. What man is better than Apollo, right?" She asked, turning to Sol.

"Quite so." Sol said, her fiery lips smirking.

Kathrine then looked around cautiously, not looking for something, but rather a presence. With Apollo not looking in, she leaned close to Sol and whispered. "So how is he doing? He is such a gentle and loving soul. I know he is strong, but I have my worries that war might break his heart. I just want my master to be safe. It’s agony knowing he is so far away in constant danger."

Sol nodded her head. "I also feared the same at the start. I have lost countless Kindled ones due to war. Their emotions become too much to bear. They get lost in the fire and burn out. Sometimes literally other times figuratively. Apollo though, he has adapted well. Ever since finding out he is a sentinel and has given command, he puts on a sort of mental mask when in combat. It has kept his emotions in check and his mind healthy. Honestly, his biggest gripe at this moment is the stress of being a leader, not the actual war part. And Onyx and I are going to do our best to make sure that stress doesn’t get too much for him.

A tension released from Kathrine she did not know she was carrying hearing that. Letting out a long breath she smiled.

"I am a lucky woman that my man has two exotic beauties such as yourself to keep him satisfied while I am not there. Thank you. Keep him happy for me? Please."

"Naturally." Sol said, waving her hand in a simple gesture.

With her worries put to ease, for now at least. A cheeky grin appeared on her face. "So, Apollo has had fun elsewhere from what I take it? Tell me about the hot gossip! Who were the ladies? I would like to get to know about them before I vet them as per our agreement."

Sol smirked and began to check her nails. "Who said Apollo had this fun with other humans? What would you like to hear about first? Apollo kissing a snake that he has made a concubine? Apollo kissing your daughters best friend, Willow, who is actually a bio cultist, or how Apollo had Nerissa and another Praetorian give Apollo blowjobs for an entire day in order to suck out a seed that would have turned him into a very powerful species, but would have also made him look like planet sized tree creature?"

Kathrine blinked in bafflement.

"What the fuck is happening on that planet?"
