The Last King Of Darkness
Chapter 1890 - 851: Eternal Destiny (5)
However, before leaving, it still added, "Master, the Book of Eternity is an extremely powerful item. It’s different from me and the puppet. It was born as an item, and no Spirit has ever been born upon it. Asa should have no way to control this item. It might never wake up..."
Rod nodded. "I understand."
The Book of Knowledge then went out.
After that, Rod tried all kinds of methods, including waking it with sound, with physical means, with Destiny Energy, waking it by injecting Divine Power or Spiritual Energy, and with blood, but none of them succeeded.
Asa’s Soul remained in a state of silence, without the slightest sign of revival.
On the bookshelf, the Book of Eternity lay there quietly, motionless.
Rod also felt a bit discouraged. Did he really have to give up? Although it didn’t affect the use of the Book of Eternity, Asa had accompanied him for a long time; he really didn’t want to give up like this.
After hesitating for a moment, a thought suddenly popped into his mind.
"Maybe I can’t wake it, but someone else can."
He immediately rushed to the Obelisk and knocked awake the long-slumbering Asa.
"Master, do you have any orders for me?" Asa asked in a daze.
Rod briefly told him what happened. "Asa, I’m giving you a task: wake up the Book of Eternity."
Asa fell silent for a few seconds, then said, "Master, forgive me for not acting according to your destiny. You know it—between me and that idiot there is an irreconcilable grudge. Its dispersal is exactly what I’ve been longing for."
Rod snorted coldly. "Asa, don’t forget how you first entered the Dream Realm. If the Spirit of the Book of Eternity just dissipates like this, who are you going to prove to that you’re not a moron? Even if you one day rule the entire world’s shit, who will see it? Who will you be able to affect?"
Asa’s turbid Soul shuddered. All of a sudden, it all clicked for him.
"I understand, Master, I get it. As expected of you. Compared to you, I really am an idiot."
Asa straightened up and flew directly into the House of God.
"But compared to this dumbass, I’m a genius among geniuses!"
The turbid Soul swelled up, and tentacles full of shit stabbed straight into the book, touching Asa’s Soul.
"You brainless piece of crap!"
"Why didn’t you listen to my commands? What the hell were you flailing around for? Why was your destiny control a few seconds late? Why didn’t you cooperate with me in battle?"
Almost like a Miracle, within the Book of Eternity, Asa’s Soul began to tremble. It tried its hardest to open its eyes, but it seemed to be under heavy pressure.
Asa, on the other hand, began his output without restraint. He listed every single battle they’d been through together, not missing a single detail, and from every angle he tore into it, criticizing it as utterly worthless. At the same time, his shit-filled tentacles kept shoving its Soul around, as if he were jabbing a finger at its nose while cursing it out. His venomous words were so nasty that even Rod couldn’t help wanting to punch someone when he heard them.
The effect was immediate. Asa’s Soul began to tremble wildly. It strained with everything it had to wake up, to refute all of this; just listening to himself being cursed out like that was unbearable.
"It actually works?"
Rod could hardly believe his eyes. He’d just been treating a dead horse like a living one, never expecting it would really work.
In its frenzied struggle, Asa’s Soul gradually sank deeper into the Book of Eternity. It was fusing with this powerful item, but its Soul was still too weak and couldn’t control this book.
"No."
At some unknown point, the Book of Knowledge had also come to the bookshelf and said regretfully, "Still no. The Soul has a fundamental flaw. Let it be annihilated, Master."
However, in the very next second, Asa’s shit-filled tentacles suddenly shoved its Soul Body into it. The Soul, which was extremely lacking in Soul Power, immediately seized this lifeline and dragged it down into the Book of Eternity.
In that instant, a strange light flared on the Book of Eternity, linking to their Souls. At this moment, their destinies were connected; their lives and deaths were now shared.
Pa!
The cover of the Book of Eternity snapped open, Asa jumped up at once, slapped Asa’s hand away, and cursed angrily:
"Shove your dog-fart up your horse! You’re the idiot, the moron, the dumbass! If you hadn’t been poisoned by shit, how would I have ended up attacking the great Dream Realm? The Book of Destiny I painstakingly condensed just blew up like that, you..."
All of a sudden, it froze.
"I—I woke up?"
"I’ve taken control of the Book of Eternity?"
"My God, this—this boundless power of destiny, I’m peering into the infinite power of fate! I’ve finally become the master of destiny! Hahahaha! I did it!"
Rod chuckled. "Yeah, you did it."
The Book of Knowledge flipped its pages and exclaimed, "A Miracle. Their destinies have become conjugately linked because of this; no wonder their names are the same."
"Idiot."
Asa let out a cold laugh:
"See that? Without my help, you’re nothing, you moron. Enjoy this happiness while you can. I’ll make sure you understand that the fate of having your shit under my control cannot be changed."
With that, he left the House of God and returned to the base of the Obelisk, continuing to digest the shit essence and Evil Thought Element in his body.
Asa also gave a cold snort. "Don’t celebrate too early. I will break this fate. I am the real, the one and only Asa! I won’t allow anyone to have the same pronunciation as me!"
"Enough!"
Rod cut off their love-hate bickering.
"You’re finally awake. Now, I have a very important mission to entrust to you."
