The Last King Of Darkness
Chapter 1924 - 860: The Moment of Destiny_5
The Book of Knowledge also shouted: "Asa, continue!"
Asa flipped the pages again, and in the flash of prophecy, a new line of text began to appear.
[The four gods bring together all their power, measuring the entire strength of humanity, to recreate the three Source Artifacts, and they handed them to Omir. This is the most powerful force of the Ancient Epoch. Holding them, Omir has reached an unprecedented height, yet he is still unable to stop the Abyss’s uprising.]
[When the Source Artifacts were damaged, the Ancient Epoch also came to an end.]
...
...
Another text emerged, seemingly a monologue.
[Using Divine Power to fight against the Black Fog is not the only means. In the era of the Ancient Gods, there must have been more powerful ways to confront the Black Fog. I must find it.]
[The path of the gods has been completely prohibited. My path cannot be replicated; I must, must find a new way.]
In the blurred images, Rod vaguely saw Omir conversing with a group of people. If he guessed correctly, they should be the seven minor gods of the Ancient Epoch, and the red-haired one is the third Master of Dreams, Ansi.
Behind them is the unfinished Star Marrow Altar.
The image flickered, and he again saw the construction of the Giant King City, with countless giant corpses being filled into the city walls, with some dragged to distant places.
The image flashed again, Rod saw the identical scene he had seen in the Prophecy Main Tower: Eternal Night began to descend, the Black Fog tide surged forth, countless Black Fog symbionts descended, and the roars of monsters spread across the world.
The world fell again, the surviving humans began to migrate, and finally, the main battle gathered on an immensely gigantic Divine Tree. It was enormous, and many pale-skinned elves stood upon it, myriad shining spiritual lights shot out from the leaves, eliminating large swathes of Black Fog symbionts, but the Black Fog shrouded the heavens and earth, with thirteen peak Black Fog demons, peak Amidala, and other indescribable beings, all gathered here.
The Book of Knowledge said: "This should be the Battle of the Holy Tree!"
Rod nodded; for the first time, he saw the existence of elves. They leaned against the Holy Tree, allied with humans to resist the invasion of darkness, but the power disparity between the two sides was too vast. When an earth-shattering giant stepped into the battlefield, the Elf King blew the horn in his hand, and all elves transformed into the state of soul, crashing into the Black Fog tide to self-destruct.
But even so, it couldn’t stop the Black Fog tide. In the end, the Holy Tree was submerged, only Omir and Ansi among a few others managed to escape; in their hands remained seeds.
The Book of Knowledge shouted: "Those are seeds of the Holy White Tree; our Holy White Tree is the elves’ Holy Tree!"
Rod then knew where the source of the Holy White Tree was, why he had never seen fallen elves.
The light of prophecy began to flicker urgently, and a new passage of text appeared.
[Fire, I see fire!]
[Humankind, ah, this is humanity, our shoulders can bear the weight of heavy souls.]
[With mortal bodies, stand alongside the Divine!]
In the blurred images, Rod saw Omir, the Master of Dreams Ansi, the Hidden Sage Royeger, and a familiar figure, the Holy King!
In an instant, Rod was awakened, for this moment, the seed of fire had already been sown!
The Fire Epoch was indeed initiated by the Giant King Omir and the Master of Dreams Ansi.
The image flashed again, and they reached a colossal city, to Rod’s surprise, this magnificent giant city floated in the air, surrounded by flying giant dragons, a giant dragon statue thousands of yards tall stood at the city’s center.
The Black Fog engulfed the heavens, attacking this giant city, the giant dragons struggled to resist, searing flames burned through the sky, but it was still unable to hold back the Black Fog demons. In the end, Sky City was penetrated by a giant black hand, the dragon statue shattered, and Sky City fell.
The Book of Knowledge said: "This is the Battle of the Star’s Fall, the destruction of Sky City."
Rod frowned slightly; he had some impression of that black hand; it was the hand that struck down the Ancient Space God, belonging to the King of Darkness.
The fact that such a level of power struck out proved Sky City’s defending strength was very high.
Perhaps it was due to that dragon statue.
The Book of Knowledge flipped through pages: "Master, I vaguely recall, that should be the Dragon God statue, the Dragon God, like the God of Giants, is also a powerful Ancient God."
In the image, he saw the Master of Dreams Ansi and Omir fleeing from the dying Sky City, with each heading toward new directions.
The light of prophecy flickered, and the final line of text appeared:
[Omir awakened the residual spirit of the Source Ancestor, trying to enact the final prophecy, but ultimately did not wait for the return of the Lord of Destruction and Darkness.]
In the final image, Rod saw darkness engulfing the world, an endless Black Fog drowning the Main Material World, all things being swallowed, the Ancient Epoch thus ended.
But Rod knew, a vast and magnificent Epoch awaited him, a world where fire and humanity were the main themes, no longer divine beings, only kings.
Humanity did not go extinct; their glory had only just begun.
But at this moment, a major question loomed in Rod’s heart. From the last image, human survival seemed impossible; how did the Holy King lead humanity to rise in such circumstances?
From the previous images, there seemed to be only one possibility.
