Chapter 85: Getting ploughed by now.

Li Jun was really trying to keep his composure and not run out of here. He had seen countless dances from the most stunning women in the world and had no reaction. Even with men shaped like gods, he could hold his ground.

A dancer with a shaved head and gold body glitter worked his way through a sensual dance routine. He gripped the pole with his large hand while rolling his hips in a figure eight that seemed to defy spinal anatomy.

Another younger dancer with thighs for days, like he had never skipped leg day at the gym, crouched at the edge of the stage while making eye contact with him. He held that gaze a beat too long before sliding away.

Li Jun thought Dane was getting up to get a drink or something along those lines. But that wasn’t what Dane did. What did Dane do? Dane told the dancer to step aside. What happened next made Li Jun almost choke on his drink.

The dancer on stage, the one with the shaved head, stopped mid-rotation. His gold-glittered chest heaved from exertion.

"Take five," Dane said. "I have got this."

The dancer nodded. He grabbed a towel from beside the stage monitor and stepped down. The music in the background changed to a remix of a song Li Jun had definitely heard on StarNet before.

Li Jun, "???"

Dane stepped onto the stage, and Li Jun’s glass stopped halfway to his mouth. He watched Dane grip the pole with an easy familiarity, like he had done this countless times before.

With no hesitation, his fingers curled on the pole, and he planted his feet with no sense of awkwardness. His silk shirt glimmered in the light as he rolled his shoulders as though warming up. After that, he began to move.

Like a bird performing a mating call, his hips started moving first in a slow circular grind that travelled through his spine in waves. His free hand slid down his own chest, his fingers trailing over the silk. He moved them down his stomach and abs before reaching the waistband of his tailored pants.

Li Jun was about to tell him that this wasn’t necessary when the lights were shut off. The entire room went dark, as if someone had flipped a switch, plunging the building into a sea of darkness.

Dane, who hadn’t even gone half through his dance, yelled, "Go find out what the fuck is going on."

His bodyguard said, "Yes, sir," before walking out while making a call.

"The emergency lights should kick in soon," Dane said as he walked towards him.

Li Jun stood up and said, "Well, I really have to go. I have to be up early to-" Before he could even finish speaking, the fire sprinklers turned on with a whoosh. A few screams came from outside. Flashing red lights filled the room as a male voice said, "Attention. Attention. This is not a drill. Please follow the emergency lights towards the exits."

Dane was even more confused now. He said, "Let’s head out. I am sure it’s a misunderstanding." After saying that, he led the way, and Li Jun followed after him. Dane didn’t use the regular emergency exits. He had his own exit that was faster and emptier when compared to the chaos in the other hallways.

When they stepped outside, his men were already waiting to report. Dane took two towels and gave one to Li Jun while asking, "What the fuck is going on?"

The man replied, saying, "Someone hacked into our system and turned off the lights. They also triggered the fire emergency system."

Dane’s brow twitched, and he asked, "Robbery?"

"No, sir."

Dane heaved a sigh and turned to Li Jun, saying, "Let me take you back to your hotel. I am so sorry about this."

Li Jun, who had his head lowered while wiping the water off his soaked clothes, looked up at Dane, who was staring at him a little intently. He realized then what he was looking at. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

His shirt, which was stuck to his clothes, was now see-through, and he could see the outline of his muscles. He met Dane’s gaze, and Dane swallowed, looking like he was ready to eat him on the spot.

Li Jun, "..."

He wasn’t dumb. He knew what Dane was thinking, so he said, "No need. I am good. Thanks for the hospitality, though. It was... fun."

Dane smiled and said, "Here, maybe we can continue where we left off next time," while placing a business card in his pocket.

Li Jun said, "Maybe," before turning to walk away. Dane’s gaze remained on his figure, seeming quite disappointed. He honestly thought he had a shot. If it weren’t for this chaos, he might have been getting ploughed by now.

Enraged, he turned to his head of security and said, "Find the fucker who did this and bring them to me, do you understand?" The man nodded frantically, a little frightened by Dane’s expression.

On the other hand, Li Jun stepped into the hotel and walked towards the reception. The place was a little busier than usual. It was probably because of the chaos next door. Li Jun told the man in the front to send up some soup for him downstairs.

He got out of the elevator feeling a chill spreading down his back. He needed a hot shower otherwise, he would continue feeling very uncomfortable. He tapped the display, and the room door unlocked.

With a sigh, he tossed the towel on the chaise and unbuttoned his cuff. Suddenly, his entire body stiffened. He reached for his plasma gun holstered behind him, but his wrist was grabbed hard. He was about to beat the shit out of this idiot who had the balls to lay a hand on him when he smelt a familiar fragrance.

"Shit," he swore under his breath, his heart pounding so fast it leaped out of his chest.

"Li Jun, it’s me," whispered Yu Wen, his voice strained as he loosened his grip. Li Jun shoved him hard and caught him unprepared. Yu Wen fell to the ground. He bit his lip, the ache in his chest intense. He should have expected this. He shouldn’t have been hopeful.
