The Nameless Extra: I Proofread This World
Chapter 216: Rules of the Vazrun Island Survival Game (1)
And then, almost on cue, it began.
Thin tendrils of ink, black as pitch and unnaturally fluid, began to stretch across the page in elegant strokes.
Gradually, the word slides into existence.
Arlok exhaled a quiet "ohh," this time softer, the awe replacing the exasperation in his voice, while the others leaned in closer.
Yerin stared at the parchment, tracking the living ink as it settled.
Then, she began to read it.

{Arrival Information}
{Current Time: 6:00 AM}
{Expected Arrival: 10:00 AM}
The voyage will take about four hours. During that time, all scholar must remain inside their assigned quarters until further notice. This is a direct order from the academy.
Anyone leaving their quarters without the express permission of authorized personnel will be in violation of academy rules and subject to disciplinary action, regardless of the reason. So, please stay in your quarters and wait until further instructions are given.
{Island Grid System Deployment}
The island has been divided into a 10-by-10 grid, creating a total of 100 sectors. The columns are marked with the letters A to J, while the rows are numbered from 1 to 10.
Since there are only 80 squads, only 80 of these sectors will be used as starting sectors. The remaining 20 sectors will be unoccupied.
Participants will not choose where they land.
Each squad will then be transported by magic to its assigned sector. Their destination will remain hidden. The exact starting location of each squad will not be announced until 2 hours before the trial begins.
Here is the map of the island.
===============
As soon as Yerin read the line, a rolled parchment tied with a red ribbon appeared above the letter. She caught it with ease before unrolling it beside the parchment, revealing the island’s map.
*Image of the map*
"So this is the map of the island." Yerin said.
Shima let out a disappointed sigh. "So we won’t know where we’re being dropped until later. Huh... that kind of sucks."
Yerin gave a small nod, resting a hand beneath her chin in thought. "Yeah. I think their goal is to test our ability to plan with very little time."
Horren scratched the back of his head, looking between the map and the letter with a troubled expression.
"Then we won’t be able to plan much... so what are we supposed to do with the first two hours we have?"
"But, isn’t this more fun?" Arlok said with a grin before letting out an amused laugh.
"Fool."
Shima simply shook her head, not even bothering to hide the look of disbelief on her face.
Ruvian, who had been quietly reading over the parchment, finally spoke.
"No. All they’ve said is that our starting location won’t be revealed yet. But they haven’t explained the test’s rules or how it’ll actually be conducted." (+75PP)
His gaze remained on the parchment as he continued.
"Check what else is written. I think there should be more." (+25PP)
Hopefully, the format of the trial remained the same as it had been in the novel. While their starting coordinates were important, this mattered even more to Ruvian.
Yerin nodded and continued reading the parchment.
Soon, more letters appeared.

{Examination Format Breakdown}
→ Collect as many points as you can during the 10-day island test. At the end of the trial, squads will be ranked based on their total points.
→ Points are earned individually, but they are also added together as the team’s total score.
→ Each of you will be given a bracelet later. This bracelet will be your life and your points collector.
There are four ways to earn points during the trial:
[1] Collect Voidshards from Voidspawn.
[2] Capture The Flags.
[3] Successfully complete a dungeon prototype.
[4] Eliminating a player
===============
[1] Collect Voidshards from Voidspawn.
[Notes!]
→ The strongest Voidspawn on the island right now are Wretched-Rank. The academy has removed all higher-ranked creatures from the island to ensure the trial is appropriate for first-year scholars. But that may not be true for the length of the test. We can’t guarantee that Wretched-Rank Voidspawn will always be the strongest creatures you encounter.
→ If you encounter a Voidspawn above Wretched-Rank, retreat immediately. Do not engage it under any circumstances. Your safety comes first, and survival should always be your top priority.
→ To redeem the Voidshard, abstract it from the Voidspawn and then transfer it into the bracelet.
[Points Breakdown]
→ Kill 1 Lesser Voidspawn = 1 Lesser Voidshard
→ Kill 1 Wretched Voidspawn = 1 Wretched Voidshard
→ 1 Lesser Voidshard = 10 Pts
→ 1 Wretched Voidshard = 30 Pts
===============
[2] Capture The Flags.
[Notes!]
→ There are 100 Flags on the island, with one flag in each sector. Some are hidden, while others can be found in plain sight.
→ To capture a flag, you must hold it for one minute while continuously channeling mana through your bracelet.
→ A flag can be recaptured by another squad using the same method.
→ Captured flags can be moved after they are claimed. Just keep in mind that it is quite heavy.
[Points Breakdown]
→ For every hour a flag remains under your squad’s control, you will earn 10 Pts.
===============
[3] Successfully complete a dungeon prototype.
[Notes!]
→ There are 30 dungeon prototypes on the island. They are divided into three ranks: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each rank contains 10 dungeon prototypes.
→ Dungeon prototypes are hidden throughout the island in the form of large crystal boulders. To begin the challenge, channel mana into the crystal.
→ In addition to points, clearing a dungeon will also reward each participating scholar with individual rewards.
→ Once a Dungeon Prototype has been attempted, whether you succeed or fail, you cannot challenge it again.
[Points Breakdown]
→ Gold Dungeon = 500 Pts
→ Silver Dungeon = 300 Pts
→ Bronze Dungeon = 100 Pts
===============
[4] Eliminating a player.
[Notes!]
→ To eliminate a player, you must break their bracelet. Once the bracelet is broken, that player can no longer take part in the trial. A defensive protection spell will also activate, keeping the player safe until the instructor in charge arrives.
→ Players can only eliminate other players starting on the 7th day of the trial. If a scholar eliminates someone before the 7th day, they will be eliminated as a penalty.
→ If you are eliminated, you will be sent back to the vessel and your points will be frozen. They will not be reset to zero, so don’t worry. However, you will no longer be able to earn more points or help your team.
[Points Breakdown]
→ Eliminating a player rewards you 25% of the eliminated player’s points.
→ If the player activated his [Protection] card, you can no longer go for that player a second time. Or else you’ll be penalised.
