The Novel's Draft
Chapter 46 - 134
It was difficult to follow the flow of the battle since we had to chase them around the palace, Alleus would carry us whenever someone got tired but it was mainly Vertere.
I was taken aback when Incus used the technique ’Impact line’ because it was the exact same technique that master index used to leave a gaping wound on Dragonborn. Why hasn’t she used it until now... maybe the author forgot about it?
’I’m jealous, maybe the wrong master chose me... that juicy rage being wasted!’
Slamming my fist on the force armor, I spat on it.
Giving me weird looks, I rubbed the steel surface, making it look like I was just simply cleaning it.
Looking at the rolling head of Patella’s on the floor, I scowled:
"Damn, it’s a shame... I wanted to recruit her as our next companion."
"Gees, I don’t think that would’ve been a good idea." Said Alleus.
Bending down to grab the bastard sword and it’s sheathe, I lead to way to follow Incus.
"She was not only incredibly powerful, but her grit to continue battling against such a monster was impressive... I really wanted to learn those hero’s wind techniques, but what a shame—"
"I found it."
Turning my head towards Lieur, she was holding a folded up piece of paper.
"Captain, I found the paper which where she learned the techniques."
Running towards her, I felt her hand.
"You’re a savior! If there’s anything that you want, just tell me and I’ll get it for you."
"I’d like some arrows, my arsenal is running pretty low."
Tilting my head, I asked as we began following Incus:
"Do you know how to make them?"
"Captain, it’s a very tedious process and I prefer them have iron tips... but yes, I can."
"What’s the difference if it has an iron tip or not?" Alleus asked.
"It makes a lot of difference." Lieur replied.
Walking through up the stairs, the floors didn’t have much inside, it was mainly empty... maybe it’s because the author didn’t give them a description.

Once we reached the main floor, a row of servants stood ready.
"Your majesty, the queen and the young lord has left the palace... shall we get rid of them?"
Grabbing a towel to wipe herself, Incus gave her answer:
"We wouldn’t want a scandal amongst ourselves. Get rid of them... wait no, leave the young lord, wipe his memories and send him off to an orphanage. I don’t want to be the culprit who wiped the royal family’s blood off the face of the earth, now don’t we?"
The servants then bowed.
"Yes your majesty."
And with that, they all Disappeared.
"I wonder why these servants are so loyal to Incus, when she killed their king?"
When I was about to give an answer, Lieur replied:
"You’re grateful that Ring saved you are you not?"
Vertere then pondered for some time.
Smacking the back of his head, I clicked my tongue:
"Don’t be a brat and just say you are." I chuckled.
Incus then began walking, and her destination was a dining room with a long table.
She then sat down on the only chair in the room, leaving us to sit on the ground.
The long table was then filled with a feast fit for a king.
Grabbing a few dishes, we began eating.
Stuffing our face, Vertere’s speed of eating slowed down.
"I’m so full..." He mumbled.
Stuffing a piece of chicken in his mouth, I gave him a disapproval look.
"Being full is the rich man’s only weakness."
Grabbing the chicken, he began to chew.
Standing up, I began searching the table for something.
"What is it that you’re looking for partner?" Asked Alleus.
"Something we can wrap the food with, we don’t know when we’ll be able to eat something this good again... we’ve spent a few days in this palace and this is the first that Incus ate her, so thing’s will start picking up wind soon."
Standing up, Vertere began to help search.
After a while, we then found some leaves.
Wrapping some meat with rice, we tied up the leaves.
Incus then snapped his fingers.
Maids entered the room, cleaning the table, as another set of maids placed multiple deserts on the table.
Gulping, I held a cold milky desert.
"Ice cream."
Picking up a spoon, I took a scoop and ate it.
Tears then began falling from my eyes, wiping them away with my shoulder, I continued to eat the delicious cold snack.
Standing next to me, the other three took a glass cup of ice cream as well.
"It can’t possibly be than good—"
Taking a bite, Alleus fell to her knees while Vertere and Lieur regained their vigor as they continued to eat more.
"Captain... this... is... such... a magnificent... desert..." Lieur said, stuffing her mouth.
"Concentrate on eating Lieur." I waved a hand, shifting my attention to our water mage, "And Vertere make sure that you learn a spell to replicate ice cream." I commanded.
Shaking his head, Vertere replied:
"That’s impossible, I’m not a milk mage."
Handing him shaved ice, he looked at it with curiosity.
"If that’s the case, then can you make something like this?"
Taking a bite, his mood visibly improved.
"My goodness, this taste and texture, it’s so smooth! And this syrup, I can’t replicate it but I’m sure we can make some with wild resources."
After the gracious feast, called for a servant and whispered something in his ear.
Not a moment later, the same servant reappeared.
"Everything has been set for tomorrow."
Tilting my head, I wondered what the servant could possible mean.
***
"So this is what she meant." I sighed.
We were standing on the training ground of the kingdom’s military.
The trainees were standing in rows, which we blended in by choking out a few of them and taking their uniform... surprisingly, the force armor began thinner.
We had also placed our stuff such as our weapons and pouches next to Incus’ jug of water.
’No need to thank me, I haven’t eaten much of your rage so in truth you’ve starved me boy! Starved!’
"Ill get you something to feed on when I feel like it, so quite bothering me."
’Starved!!’
Looking up at the podium where Incus stood with some very powerful looking people, one of which being Steinen’s father.
"Trainees of Jansoara, as you’ve all might’ve heard... we will be going to war against the demon’s in their own territory, but be not afraid because the other kingdoms will be working with us, it has yet to be announced so make sure you keep it a secret."
The crowd of trainees then chuckled but even I know that if it weren’t for the fact that we’re in a novel, she wouldn’t have hesitated to kill those who even utter a hint about it.
"In other words, I have gathered the kingdom’s strongest to train you... I shall also be participating in instructing you. I may not be proficient in anything but the sword but I’ve had my fair shares of battles, so don’t be afraid to ask."
Snapping her fingers, servants then appeared out of nowhere and began dividing the people into groups.
Because the training area was wide but not wide enough for us to lose clarity, Alleus and I went to Incus’ group while Lieur and Vertere went their separate ways.
I wonder what Vertere is going to train because he certainly can’t use magic and hes a bit too fragile for anything too hardcore.
Standing in a line, Incus began looking up and down at us.
She paused for a brief moment in front of me, which I then gulped.
Please keep walked...
But Incus leaned in closer, as I try my best not to move.
After a few gruesome seconds, she continued walking.
"Jeez, what in the world was that about..?" Alleus whispered.
"I’m just glad that she didn’t point me out..." I whispered back.
"I want you all to pick a sparring partner and only use one leg to move." Incus commanded.
Turning to face Alleus, she had already pointed a wooden sword in my face.
