Alerting Ulna, that Incus was going to start sprinting at full speed again, she raised her wand to cast a spell

"Cloaked wind!" Ulna said rushing to cover everyone in wind.

Looking over my shoulder, Lieur was ready to start sprinting.

Incus then walking out of the small snack shop, and summoned a hero sword.

"Excalibolt." She slashed the sword to the side, as lightning began to cloak her.

Immediately, she shortly disappeared but we had managed to catch up.

Maneuvering around the town, the people who were walking down the street jumped to move out of the way, cursing at Incus for her reckless actions.

"Look where you’re going you damn idiot, you’ll put people in danger!" A cranky looking woman spat.

Ignoring the insults anyways, Incus continued to gradually widen her strides.

We ran through rivers, dams, forests, and a few bandit camps which Incus stopped for to rob them of their food before continuing.

After a few days of this repetition, giant walls came into view with multiple rivers going into it, and a giant body of water surrounded the kingdom.

In short, it was breath taking.

The smell of fresh water as wind softly caressed my skin made me feel calm, which is good because once stress begins to take over, I’ll begin to rush myself then make mistakes as a consequence.

Mistakes must be mitigated.

But there was something that made the view unordinary, and it was the crimson sky around the kingdom.

Stopping by a cliff, Incus then jumped down.

Following after her, I spun around and commanded the dragon scales armor to grab everyone, pulling them down with me.

Their screams of surprise was like music to my ears.

"Twisting wind!" Casting a spell, our fall was slowed down by a small tornado, stopping us from falling to our deaths.

"Don’t... don’t ever do that again you rotten imbecile, I thought I was going to die!" Vertere growled in anger.

Hearing the static of electricity, we chased after Incus.

As we came closer to the kingdom walls of Febritust, screams of anguish faintly echoed in the air.

As I gritted my teeth, Incus slashed down the demons that were lingering around the castle walls.

Looking around, she ran towards a camp that was set up a few distances away.

Stopping in her tracks, she walked into the camp.

Looking around, I witnessed as children were playing with sticks and rocks... such madness.

"Breath through your mouths." I commanded.

The stench of blood and other unsanitary material was evident everywhere.

Forcing myself to not stare too intently, because if I did... my mental state wouldn’t handle such rage that will begin to turmoil inside me.

This madness shall not take over over my body.

Covering her mouth, Alleus paled.

"This is horrible, why would anyone write such a disaster... how can someone subject people to such atrocities." Said Alleus.

"Well that someone is obviously the Demon king... that bastard will die by the hero’s hand..!" Ulna shouted, her veins poking out.

Meeting eyes with Vertere and Lieur, we realized that we should probably tell her that we’re in a novel soon.

Walking into the main tent of the camp, multiple knights clad in armor with intricate patterns depicting a woman sprouting waters from her hands all looked at Incus.

Slamming a fist on the table, the tallest and strongest looking knight’s purple and red cape jumped.

It must be the signature colors of this kingdom.

"Who are you, I demand that you state your name now! The audacity to interrupt our meeting is a crime punishable by manual labor!" The tall, strong looking man shouted, the dark circles under his eyes making him look inhumane.

Summoning all of the hero swords, Incus introduced herself.

"It is I, the king of Jansoara, and the hero." Incus glared coldly.

Walking infront of Incus, casting his shadow over her, the man then went on his knees.

"Pardon my rudeness hero king Incus, I am commander Cage, an elite knight of the Queen’s select troop." Cage said, his voice deep.

Focusing on commander cage, I whispered:

"Check system." An interface then appeared in front of me.

He’s a tall man so I expected for him to be a tank, but I guess I was wrong.

"Rise. Tell me what’s the current situation, who is the invader and how many demons are there." Incus dispersed the hero swords.

Standing up, commander Cage pointed at a map of the kingdom Febritust.

"The inner kingdom has been fully compromised. As for the outer sanctum, we’ve sent scouts to rescue any potential survivors... I’ve ordered for them not to engage in combat as these demons are beyond my men’s league, unless absolutely necessary. So I must thank you for arriving just when things were growing dire."

Looking at the X marked locations on the map, it seems that’s where they’ve been compromised.

"Good work, aside from your men, how many combatants are available to engage into combat?" Incus asked.

Walking outside the tent, commander cage looked up into the sky.

"One third of our men has been wiped out, we have around a hundred thousand combatants left, excluding healers, they make up around ten thousand." Sighed commander Cage.

Walking out of the tent as well, Incus patted commander cage on the back.

"Order all of your men to focus on solely evacuating, make sure they don’t get in my way." Incus said coldly.

As Incus walked further away, we followed after her.

"Alleus, are you ready?" I asked.

"As always partner." Alleus the rogue scoffed.

Looking over at Vertere the abandoned by swords, and Ulna the betrayed mage, I asked:

"How about the both of you?"

With a smile painted over their faces, they pulled out their wands.

"Ready."

Glancing over at Lieur, she gave me a nod.

"Alright then, lets pay ourselves a visit to the water kingdom... Febritust."
