Point-of-View: Aurora Pretorius

———————————————————————————

Ow, it really hurts...I think he destroyed a couple of my internal organs, I might have passed out for a bit. What’s going on, where is h-...? Huh?

The first thing I noticed was the scent of death, from several of the Elemental Deities. What I noticed next, was Satan’s Aura, fading rapidly. And as I turned in that direction, my eyes widened in bewilderment and disbelief.

It’s Liling, along with another person, holding Satan’s decapitated head with a look of glee on her face. What the hell is she doing? The Remaining Deities are standing by and just watching, they probably think she’s trying to help...but there’s no way that’s the case!

I struggled to get back onto my feet, coughing out blood as pain erupted through my stomach, before grimacing and doing my best to ignore the pain. Whatever she’s upto, it can’t be good...I have to stop her, before it’s too late!

I shot forward as fast as I could, extending out my shadowy streaks with a slight gasp, my body wracked with pain. I can’t let her have her way, there’s no telling what’ll happen if she does!

"Liling! I won’t let you do whatever you’re doing!" I snapped, as streaks of blood trickled out of my mouth as I shot forward.

"Oh, crap, you’re already back on you’re feet!? I thought you were unconscious!" She exclaimed in alarm, before quickly taking aim at me with her free hand and firing out one of her Chaos Blasts at me, "Take that! Just give me a few more seconds, and I’ll be right with you, ’kay?"

I sprang back to evade the incoming blasts, which vaporized the spot I’d been standing on, wincing as my stomach area throbbed agonizingly.

She continued firing more blasts at me, which I was able to evade without a problem...except for the immense agony that burst out from my injuries every time I moved.

"What are you doing-...?" Began Lux in bemusement, all the Deities staring at me in perplexity.

"She was working with Satan and Hell before, she’s the one responsible for all those Monster outbreaks that awakened you all! I don’t know what she’s upto, but we have to stop her!" I yelled urgently, coughing out more blood. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Crap, I’m starting to get light-headed here. As Liling briefly took her attention away from me and fired out Chaos Blasts at the Deities to keep them away, I formed a massive, swirling Negative Blast as quickly as I could, firing at her with as much speed and momentum as I could generate.

My vision then blurred as I coughed out more blood, collapsing onto my hands and knees, right before my surroundings turned bright and the pain instantly disappeared. Huh?

Oh, Lux healed me. Couldn’t have done that a bit earlier, huh? Well, better late than never, I suppose, I’m pretty sure I was close to dying. It wouldn’t have stuck, of course, but I don’t want to use up another life this soon. I’ve died more than enough times today as it is.

But more importantly, did that work or not? I glanced towards the spot where Liling had been, a dense dust cloud rising up from that area. The Deities were keeping their distance and eyeing that spot warily.

Suddenly, some of the dust was blown away, before black feathered wings spread out, clearing away the cloud of dust and revealing-...what the hell am I looking at here?

"What...what the actual HELL have you done?" I frowned in bewilderment.

"Alright, it worked! Holy crap, this is some Aura, WOW!" She laughed in amusement, before staring down at the corpse of the person who’d been with her, "Aw, not cool, you totally killed one of my underlings. Guess we won’t be seeing any more hydrid fusions, huh?"

H-hybrid fusion? She fused her body with Satan’s? Well, uh...that would explain her appearance. Streaks of red had appeared in her hair, the whites of her eyes had turned black and her irises red.

She had black feathered wings on her back, a black halo floating above her head, and twisted horns on either side of her forehead. And most alarmingly...her Aura, it’s on another level.

It’s not quite as powerful as Satan’s when he suddenly boosted himself drastically, but it’s a fair bit more immense than his Aura normally. This might be the worst case scenario, she’s gone from a high level Meta-Human to likely one of the most powerful beings in existence...

"You damned human, what do you think you’re doing!?" Snarled the three-headed dog Deity, Cereberus, I think.

"Nothing. Or are you talking about what I’ve already done?" She inquired tauntingly in response, before she snapped her fingers, a portal opening up behind her, "Well, see you all later. I’m just gonna take a moment to figure out what I’m capable of now, and I’ll be right back to finish you all off. Bye!"

"Wait, damn it!" I snapped, as I sent my shadowy streaks extending out towards her, but it was too late, she had already left through the portal.

She got away, this went terribly, despite the fact that Satan is dead. After all, five Elemental Deities are also dead, that’s a huge loss in terms of attack power on our side.

The ones that died include the Rival Aqua Deity, Charybdis, if I’m not mistaken, then Titan, the Rival Terra Deity, the Space Dragon Deity, Void, was another victim, and the Rival Aero Deity, Garuda. Oh, and Geod, the Terra Dragon Deity...well, that one’s not such a big loss, if you ask me.

There are now only eight Elemental Deities remaining, half the original number. Of course, Hell’s also been dealt quite a major blow with Satan’s death, but the situation might have just gotten worse.

Liling might very well now be the most powerful being in the world, which means that Chaos is certain to get immensely involved in this war. They’ve also got Dracula on their side, and who knows who else?

And Satan’s death doesn’t change the fact that there are still a tremendous number of Demons and Devils running wild here-...

"Wait, if Satan’s dead, then shouldn’t the bridge between Hell and the living world close now!?" I exclaimed hopefully.

"Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case," Responded a large bird Deity, I think the Rival Electro Deity, as she glanced in the direction of the massive portal connected Hell and the living world.

"She is right. Based on the feel of the dark energy powering that rift, it will not fade for at least a few days. This is possibly due to the fact that Satan’s Aura does still exist, within that human who absorbed him," Remarked Lux with a grimace.

"Isn’t there any way to force it to close?" I inquired with a frown.

"Perhaps so, but no such method that we are aware of," She shook her head in response.

Well, that’s just great. If the bridge closed, then the Demons and Devils would get drawn back to Hell, the invasion would end right then and there. But it looks like this is far from over. In fact, it feels more like it’s just getting started...

Point-of-View: Neo Cronje

———————————————————————————

Hm...? Where...where am I? I feel so worn out...huh? Strange, my surroundings aren’t all black. I think I had a dream about finally killing Laplace, it felt pretty real, but that can’t be right. Oh, this must be the dream then...ah, how nice.

"Hey, he’s finally awake!" Suddenly came a familiar voice.

Huh? A voice that isn’t Laplace’s? Damn, now this is a good dream. Hope it lasts for a while...

"Neo! Dude, it’s about time you got up! Here, eat this, you’re severely malnourished," Came another familiar voice, before a tantalizing scent wafted into my nostrils, my mouth watering and my stomach rumbling as a result.

Wait, scent? And my stomach hurts with hunger, I can feel it clearly. Hold on, this isn’t a dream!? Am I...am I really back out again? Then...me killing Laplace wasn’t a dream!?

I began to try and sit up...but couldn’t muster the strength to do so, my entire body aching. I feel so weak, I can barely even move...

"Where am I...?" I muttered weakly.

"Don’t you remember? You portaled all of us here, this is the Harmony hidden base in Antarctica, you saved us," Replied Inoka, as he handed me a bowl of soup.

My mind blanked as hunger overwhelmingly took over, using all my strength to sit up and take the bowl, drinking the soup out of it like a cup, ignoring as I felt my tongue get burnt and some of it splattering onto my body.

I’m...I’m finally free again. This is real...it’s really happening, I’m no longer trapped in Laplace’s dimension!
