The Prime Minister Seduced Me to have Babies!
Chapter 911: Brother Xiao Chuan
Guihua didn’t expect her daughter to be so obedient today.
In the past, when she was really busy, she would call Yingzi to help her out a little, but not often, she couldn’t bear to tire her daughter out.
She wouldn’t have called Yingzi today if she didn’t have to.
Guihua happily took Yingzi downstairs.
Yingzi walked downstairs and glanced towards the door leading to the shop, but because it was cold, the door was closed, and she couldn’t see anything.
Entering the kitchen, Guihua told Yingzi to pick and wash the vegetables, while she busied herself chopping the chicken and slicing the meat.
The weather was cold, and as soon as Yingzi’s hands touched the cold water, she let out a "tss" sound.
Guihua quickly took the kettle from the stove and added some hot water.
When Yingzi put her hands back in, it was neither cold nor hot, just right.
With her daughter’s help, Guihua’s mood was especially good, and a smile appeared on her lips.
When Jiang Youzhi returned, Yun Jiao had someone close the shop door, and the whole family sat in the back living room around the stove, chatting casually.
When the food was ready, Lao Jiu came in first to help set the table, then Yingzi came in carrying the dishes.
As she came in, she stole a glance at Gu Chuan.
After two years of not seeing him, Gu Chuan had completely grown from a teenager to a young man.
His experiences outside made him appear more steady and mature than his peers.
Yingzi’s heart skipped a beat, and she put down the bowl of food, leaving with her head lowered.
Back and forth several times, all the dishes were on the table, and Yingzi quietly left.
In the living room, only the Gu Family remained, and a thick quilted curtain was lowered at the door. The family was merrily eating.
After dinner, Yun Jiao didn’t chat much with her brother and left; it was too cold, and she just wanted to get home quickly.
Today, with his son back, Gu Yuheng was happy, poured some wine, and slowly sipped it.
Gu Chuan also poured a small cup of wine to accompany him.
Yun Jiao and Jiang Youzhi had already left, but the two hadn’t finished their drinks.
In the kitchen, Yingzi saw Yun Jiao and Jiang Youzhi get on the carriage and leave. She quickly finished her meal and headed out.
Guihua called her, "Are you going upstairs? Help me take something up."
Yingzi turned back, "I’m not going upstairs, I’m going to the living room to clear the table." After thinking for a moment, she picked up a bamboo basket and went out again.
Guihua watched Yingzi’s back, and said to Lao Jiu with contentment, "Yingzi has grown sensible."
Lao Jiu nodded in agreement.
Yingzi, carrying the basket, lifted the heavy quilted curtain and entered the living room, only to see Gu Yuheng and his son still leisurely eating and drinking.
Gu Yuheng saw her come in, "Ready to clean up? Ah, look at me, taking forever to finish this little bit of wine."
Yingzi smiled at the two of them, put down the basket, "Uncle Gu, just keep drinking, I’m only here because it’s warm in this room."
Gu Yuheng smiled back at her and said to his son, "Go on, continue, what happened to that Fourth Master afterwards?"
While listening to the father and son chat, Yingzi brewed two cups of hot tea and brought them to the table.
When handing the tea to Gu Chuan, she shyly gave him a quick look, but unfortunately, Gu Chuan didn’t notice at all.
Yingzi wasn’t in a hurry, lifted the curtain and went upstairs, taking her embroidery hoop, about two hands in size, and returned to the living room.
Entering, she sat in a corner, embroidering while listening to the father and son talk.
When the father and son finished eating, Gu Chuan stood up to clean, and Yingzi quickly went over, "Brother Xiao Chuan, you sit, I’ll do it."
She reached for the chopsticks in Gu Chuan’s hand, and accidentally touched his hand. She blushed and quickly withdrew her hand.
