Chapter 205: Chapter 205: Dormmates

Ding Yuejun prepared a sumptuous dinner, and during dinner, Guo Ming and Mo Ping learned about the relationship between Gu Tingyu and Yiyi.

Guo Ming’s expression was a bit indescribable; his little apprentice was indeed whisked away.

Meanwhile, Mo Ping smiled and said, "Congratulations to the young boss, from now on, you’re officially in a relationship."

Apart from Guo Ming being relatively quiet, everyone else was chatting and laughing, making the meal delightful for all.

"Aunt Ding, I’ll head back now and visit you next time."

Although reluctant to leave, it was already late, and Gu Tingyu knew he had to go.

"Alright, come again next time."

Yiyi accompanied Gu Tingyu to the door, and taking advantage of his distraction, she tiptoed to kiss his chin, "Goodbye, Brother Tingyu, my boyfriend." After saying this, Yiyi ran off. Even though she appeared calm, her heart was pounding nervously during the kiss.

Gu Tingyu stood there stunned until the door closed, snapping him back to reality, and he couldn’t help but smile while touching his chin.

The next morning, Yiyi woke up early to rush to school.

"Yiyi, over here."

Tao Cuizhu waved as soon as she saw Yiyi.

Seeing this, Yiyi walked over to sit beside her.

"Yiyi, you finally made it." Tao Cuizhu said with a sincere smile and introduced the classmates seated around them, "Yiyi, you didn’t stay in the dorm last night, so you probably haven’t met the other dorm mates yet. Let me introduce them to you: the long-haired girl in front is Wei Xiweng, beside her is An Xueqing, and behind you is the short-haired girl Cao Panpan. Next to her is Feng Yudan."

"Hello everyone."

Yiyi greeted the girls in front of her with a smile.

The girls smiled back, and Cao Panpan curiously asked, "Are you from Shangjing?"

"My hometown is Z Province, but I recently moved to Shangjing, so didn’t stay at the dorm last night."

Hearing this, Cao Panpan nodded and said, "No wonder we didn’t see you last night. Looks like you’re the only one in our dorm who lives in Shangjing. When we have a break, you’ll have to show us around Shangjing."

"Sure."

Yiyi nodded with a smile.

Just as they finished speaking, the class advisor Director Sun walked in. After introducing himself, he explained the upcoming schedule, "You’ll be undergoing military training for the next month, and classes will begin officially afterwards. I hope we can all work hard together over the next five years."

Following this, Director Sun had some boys move things from the office, distributed new books and uniforms for military training, then dismissed the class.

"Yiyi, let’s head back to the dormitory."

Tao Cuizhu looked over after packing her things.

Hearing this, Yiyi nodded and after slinging on her backpack, returned to the dormitory with everyone.

After setting her belongings down, Yiyi sat on her bed to rest, while taking a good look at everyone to familiarize herself.

She was more familiar with Tao Cuizhu, who still wore the same pigtails as yesterday, whereas Wei Xiweng had long, lustrous straight hair and refined features, embodying the quintessential Jiangnan beauty. Cao Panpan sported a neat short haircut, looking very cool.

An Xueqing was a clean-looking girl who seemed rather quiet, having not said a word since entering, while Feng Yudan was striking with captivating eyes and a naturally alluring air when glancing around.

Finally, Tao Cuizhu spoke, "It’s an honor to share a dorm with all of you. Since we’ll be living together for quite a few years, let’s choose a dorm leader."

The others turned to look at Tao Cuizhu upon hearing this.

Yiyi had no interest in being dorm leader and said, "Why don’t you do it?"

Tao Cuizhu smiled at Yiyi’s suggestion and asked the others, "What do you all think?"

Cao Panpan shrugged, "I don’t mind. You go ahead and do it."

Feng Yudan had a slight objection, "I was class president in high school, so I think I’m quite suitable."

"Funny, I was a class president too."

Tao Cuizhu replied.

An Xueqing and Wei Xiweng looked between Feng Yudan and Tao Cuizhu before saying, "Since Cuizhu proposed it first, let her be the dorm leader."

Despite Feng Yudan’s displeasure, with everyone else’s decision made, she had no choice but to concede. Thus, Tao Cuizhu became the leader of dorm 305.

"Shall we head to the cafeteria for lunch?"

Feeling hungry after the morning’s activities, Yiyi proposed.

No one opposed, and after getting ready, the six headed to the cafeteria.

"Yiyi, where did you get that outfit? It’s very stylish."

As they sat down for a meal, Wei Xiweng remarked, surprised.

Yiyi glanced at her simple, elegant outfit, "My mom made it."

"Wow, your mom is amazing, she can even make clothes," Cao Panpan exclaimed admiringly, then playfully complained about her own mom, "My mom can’t even mend socks."

The others chuckled at this.

Meanwhile, Wei Xiweng asked, "Is your mom a tailor?"

Yiyi nodded, then shook her head, "She owns a clothing store specializing in custom clothes."

"I wonder if I could get an outfit custom-made."

Yiyi glanced at Wei Xiweng and replied, "That’s possible, but since we just moved to Shangjing, my mom hasn’t found a suitable store yet, so custom orders would be delayed. Plus, the embroidery on this outfit is all handcrafted by my mom, so it’s not cheap."

Despite being dorm mates, Yiyi couldn’t let her mom work for free.

"Then, after your mom opens her store, you should take me to see it."

Seeing that Wei Xiweng hadn’t abandoned the idea of a custom outfit, Yiyi naturally nodded, "Sure."

The others remained quiet.

Even without understanding fabrics, just by looking at the quality of Yiyi’s outfit, they knew it was great, and since Yiyi mentioned its expense, they knew they couldn’t afford it as poor students.

The conversation ended as they quietly finished dinner before returning to the dorm together.

The next day marked the beginning of freshman military training.

All new students boarded buses to the training base, and upon arrival, strict training began.

Having been trained by Guo Ming, Yiyi found the drills easy, and whether it’s her imagination, the instructor seemed to favor their class, frequently taking them to shaded areas during hot weather and patiently correcting mistakes unlike some other instructors who yelled.

Initially, Yiyi thought a month of military training would be long, yet time swept by swiftly, and soon they were back on buses heading to school ready for classes to start.
