The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl
Chapter 78: Wang Qiong
After Fei Erya tidied up, Ding Yuejun quickly urged everyone to eat.
Looking at the large table full of dishes before her, Fei Erya felt touched once again. Ever since she came to Yiyi’s home, she truly felt the warmth of a family.
"Erya, eat more meat. Look at how thin you are, you need to nourish yourself well." Ding Yuejun’s daughter had mentioned Fei Erya’s situation to her, so she was very fond of this pretty and well-behaved girl.
Yiyi, who was beside her, also vigorously served dishes to Fei Erya, fearing that she might be too shy to eat more.
Mo Shan beamed with joy, "Sister Erya, we’ll be able to see each other often now." Fei Erya had visited Yiyi’s home once before, so Mo Shan also knew her.
Seeing everyone welcoming her like this, Fei Erya couldn’t help but feel happy.
After dinner, she quickly pulled Yiyi to start doing homework. Since everyone treated her so well, she naturally wanted to repay them sincerely.
"Erya, we can take a short break."
Fei Erya shook her head directly, saying, "No need for a break, let’s start doing homework now. After finishing, I’ll help you review the first-year textbooks."
Seeing Fei Erya’s resolve, Yiyi said no more and went straight to do homework with Erya.
Ding Yuejun, observing this, smiled. With Erya’s excellent grades, her daughter’s performance would surely improve gradually.
Meanwhile, Yiyi focused on her assignments, doing what she could and leaving the unknowns blank, planning to ask Fei Erya after completing a test paper.
Fei Erya worked much faster than Yiyi. By the time Yiyi finished a test paper, she had already completed one and a half.
"Erya, you’re so fast."
Fei Erya heard this and smiled, shaking her head, "This isn’t even fast; I heard there are people from other schools who are quicker. Our school, after all, can’t match Town No. 1 Middle School."
While speaking, she had already taken Yiyi’s test paper and carefully compared it with her own, marking the differences, and highlighting the questions Yiyi left blank.
Meanwhile, Yiyi thought of Jiang Xueluo.
"Some time ago, I encountered someone from Town No. 1 Middle School; he’s Jiang Xueluo, Grandma Jiang’s grandson living next door to us. His grades are also excellent. Thanks to him, I managed to catch up on some knowledge points during the summer holiday.
"Jiang Xueluo... he’s an excellent student from Town No. 1 Middle School, really good at academics."
Hearing this, Yiyi was somewhat surprised.
"Erya, you know Jiang Xueluo too."
"I’ve heard of him. Wasn’t there a joint exam in sophomore year? He came first in the town, so it stuck in my memory. Even our class teacher mentioned him; it was just you who didn’t remember."
Upon hearing this, Yiyi chuckled a bit awkwardly.
Earlier, her mind wasn’t really on studying, so she wasn’t concerned about these matters, naturally paying no attention.
Seeing Yiyi’s expression, Erya said no more and slowly began explaining the mistakes.
Yiyi quickly focused, listening intently.
Unconsciously, time slipped away, and it wasn’t until Ding Yuejun brought over some fruits that the two realized over two hours had passed.
"Yiyi, Erya, you two must have done enough homework. Quickly have some fruit, then tidy up and go to bed, or you won’t be able to get up tomorrow."
Putting down the pen, Yiyi rubbed her neck and nodded, saying, "Alright, indeed it’s time to sleep."
After eating the fruits and washing up, the two went straight to sleep.
The next morning, Ding Yuejun prepared breakfast early and called everyone over to eat.
"Auntie, you prepared way too much."
Looking at the table filled with egg pancakes, pumpkin porridge, buns, and fried dough sticks, Fei Erya felt the few of them couldn’t possibly finish it all.
Ding Yuejun waved it off, saying, "It’s not too much. Yiyi can eat a lot, so this will definitely be finished."
Initially, Fei Erya didn’t believe it, thinking they had eaten together before, and she didn’t find Yiyi to eat much, but seeing the empty table eventually, she finally believed Ding Yuejun’s words.
"Yiyi eats more in the morning; she always says ’the whole day’s work depends on a good start in the morning,’ so she eats more then." Hearing this explanation, Fei Erya couldn’t help but laugh, then nodded and said, "Yes, the whole day’s work depends on a good start."
After breakfast, the two headed to school together.
"It feels so nice now that we go in and out together like this, having company every day."
Fei Erya was also in high spirits; she never thought there would be a day when someone would always be by her side, "Yes, it’s really great to come and go with you every day."
The chat made time fly, and soon they were at the school gate.
"Mo Yiyi, Fei Erya, why are you coming together?"
Le Ping saw the two and couldn’t help but ask.
Reacting to this, Yiyi smiled and said, "We are naturally together."
Hearing this, Le Ping couldn’t help but smirk, "Oh, I forgot you two live close now." With that, she walked straight ahead.
Seeing this, Yiyi didn’t pay much attention, continuing to chat and laugh with Erya as they headed to the classroom.
Walking ahead, Le Ping couldn’t help but glance back at Yiyi, somewhat displeased. She never liked Mo Yiyi much, considering her quiet and somewhat strange. Although Mo Yiyi had become cheerful and talkative now, she still didn’t like her, feeling they couldn’t really click.
Yiyi naturally noticed Le Ping’s gaze but since the other party didn’t speak, she said nothing either, considering she wasn’t familiar with Le Ping.
Seeing Yiyi noticed her yet didn’t speak, Le Ping grew even more frustrated.
"Yiyi, I think Le Ping might have something to say to you." Fei Erya, whose personality has always been gentle, couldn’t help but try to mediate seeing the situation.
Yiyi, however, directly said, "You must be mistaken; what could she possibly have to say to me? Moreover, if she had something, she would have spoken up."
"Mo Yiyi, I do have something to say to you." Le Ping, having been observing Yiyi and Fei Erya, immediately rushed forward to say, "I’ve been watching you for so long, why didn’t you come over."
"Why should I approach? Since you have something to say, naturally you come over."
"You..."
Le Ping didn’t expect Yiyi to retort so sharply, rendering her speechless momentarily.
"Oh... what are you all standing here for? Class is about to start; do you want to be punished by Teacher Yao?"
Hearing this, Yiyi turned around and saw it was their classmate, Wang Qiong.
Wang Qiong was the second-top student in their class after Fei Erya, typically showing no good expression towards her and Erya. She was an arrogant and conceited girl, and Yiyi didn’t like her either because Wang Qiong looked down on rural people, thinking she’s superior because she’s from the city.
Seeing Wang Qiong, Le Ping smiled and, with a series of explanations, lightly recounted the situation, emphasizing Yiyi’s unreasonableness.
