Chapter 467: The Blade of the Erupting Earth

Furfur raised one hand, palm open, locking his gaze on a five-hundred-meter volcanic peak he had just manifested. As his fingers slowly curled as if grasping an invisible thread, the world seemed to skip a beat. In the next heartbeat, the tens of hectares of volcanic mass shuddered violently; the grinding of tectonic plates emitted a deafening groan, a sign that nature itself was being forced to surrender to the Demon’s will. With a single breath, the massive rock formation was torn from its roots, collapsing and condensing in a vortex of heat that defied logic. Millions of tons of magma and granite were distilled instantly, shrinking under the brutal compression of natural law until they were forged into a glowing crimson blade—a weapon that was not merely metal, but the concentrated fury of a volcano shaped into a pulsing edge.

Goku and Vakgar stared, wide-eyed, at the impossible phenomenon unfolding before them. They knew that Level 8 Constellation beings possessed the power to alter natural laws at whim, but they had never imagined anything as insane as uprooting a volcano like a sword from a stone. Furfur the Demon Volcano was not merely a name or a title; it was a warning to enemies of the catastrophe they were about to face.

As if walking on level ground, Furfur strode forward. Goku and Vakgar gripped their maces with white-knuckled intensity. Goku realized that a half-manifestation of Bhima would never be enough to win, but survival was never his goal. He had to buy time for Wilwatikta. The longer they held out, the more data regarding the enemy’s strength could be unearthed. Therefore, he had to conserve his Dragon Prana. He was fortunate he wasn’t alone; otherwise, he might have already crumbled into ash scattered by the wind, exactly as Furfur had threatened.

"Goku, you got a plan?" Vakgar asked, his eyes never wavering from Furfur.

"What do you think?" Goku retorted without looking back.

"Ugh... I really wish you were Boku right now," Vakgar grumbled, his brow furrowed in deep regret. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"Me too," Goku whispered with the same expression.

Suddenly, their Inner Eyes screamed in unison, commanding them to move. Just as they leaped back, a towering silhouette, glowing red as if wrapped in magma, appeared before them. The Volcanic Blade was already raised high. There was no longer any room to dodge.

Without a word, Goku and Vakgar swung their maces into the trajectory of the descending blade. The three lethal weapons collided. This time, the air didn’t just shatter; it seemed to split open. The resulting shockwave triggered a roaring echo that could be heard hundreds of kilometers away.

BOOM!

Goku and Vakgar were hurled backward, smashing into a volcano behind them until it disintegrated into fragments. Furfur was pushed back three steps before stopping, his face slightly contorted in a brief look of surprise. He stared at his hands, which were still vibrating violently from the impact. His eyes grew solemn as he glanced at the mountain of rubble burying the two Asuras.

It didn’t take long for Goku and Vakgar to burst from the wreckage and take to the skies once more. Their bodies were battered; bones were snapped, and their skin was scorched black.

"Still able to fight?" Goku asked, his eyes locked on Furfur.

"Of course!" Vakgar shouted with forced enthusiasm, though Goku could sense the fatigue creeping into his voice. It was only natural; Vakgar had now taken two direct hits from Furfur.

"Good. Don’t waste Dragon Prana on healing. Let the body’s natural regeneration do the work. We have to conserve as much energy as possible," Goku instructed.

"I know!" Vakgar snapped back.

From that last exchange, Goku understood they would lose if they continued to rely on pure strength. This didn’t mean Bhima was weaker than Furfur, but technically, two halves of Bhima’s power would never synchronize into one whole force.

Without further talk, Goku and Vakgar lunged again, attacking from opposite flanks. By doing this, even if it was difficult to pierce Furfur’s defense, they didn’t have to engage in a constant tug-of-war of strength and had more room to evade.

Aside from Boku, perhaps only Vakgar could fight alongside Goku with such perfect coordination. If Boku could cooperate because of his intellectual ability to read Goku’s brutal movements, Vakgar could do it because they were the same breed of warrior: fighters who relied on raw, wild instinct.

Goku slammed his mace into the air, releasing a shockwave that made Furfur’s frame vibrate. Suddenly, a nearby volcano erupted, spewing hot lava toward Goku. With lightning reflexes, Goku managed to dodge. Meanwhile, taking advantage of Furfur’s momentary disorientation from the shockwave, Vakgar attacked from the blind side. This time, he used the Pancanaka Claws, which possessed an attack speed far exceeding the Rujakpalo Mace.

Furfur parried the claws with his blade and threw a left-handed punch. Vakgar tilted his head; Furfur’s fist grazed his cheek. However, the sheer heat from the punch nearly melted one of Vakgar’s eyes. He immediately leaped back before unleashing thousands of Brajadenta projectiles. Yet, before the attacks reached their target, the magma beneath them rose into the air, parrying every one of Vakgar’s strikes before curling into a tsunami of fire that swept toward him.

Goku, who had been pursued by lava while using Padakacarma, moved so fast he seemed to vanish. He reappeared directly behind Furfur, swinging his mace in a blow that nearly crushed the Demon’s waist. But with agile grace, Furfur spun his blade to catch the strike.

BOOM!

The sound of the earth splitting echoed once more. Goku felt the bones in his hands crack from the impact. Although Furfur was entirely uninjured, the forceful blow forced him back two steps. Goku used that tiny opening to immediately retreat. He did not force a follow-up attack because his instincts warned him that a much more devastating counter was imminent.

Sure enough, a heatwave capable of pulverizing stone rippled outward from Furfur’s body. The air felt as though it were being burned alive. Even though Goku had distanced himself, he could feel his skin stinging and boiling as the temperature continued to skyrocket.
