The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign
Chapter 492 - 481: News Breaks! _2
"Boss, I’ve also heard about Huaxia’s Martial Arts Realm. Logically, with his level of Martial Arts Cultivation, there’s no way he could possess such vast Divine Skills! Could it be... could it be... could it be that Qin Fan?" The top official’s body trembled as he finished speaking, his face a mask of utter disbelief.
"We will not discuss matters concerning Qin Fan here. No matter how much we talk, it will only be speculation. From this moment on, Qin Fan’s personal file and every single detail about him will be classified as a Red SSSS-level secret! I will arrange to meet him personally on a suitable day!" The leader’s smile vanished, his expression turning grave as he spoke with resonant finality.
As his words fell, the entire strategy room descended into dead silence. Everyone subconsciously gave a silent, somber nod.
Following the battle in Japan, perhaps even Qin Fan himself didn’t know that deep within the Forbidden City, he had come to be regarded as an extremely sensitive individual.
「The next day.」
In the men’s dormitory area of Jinling University, inside dorm room 708.
When Wang Dalu, the third brother in the dorm, groggily opened his eyes and glanced down, he froze as if he’d seen the impossible.
He subconsciously rubbed his eyes, then slapped his bed frame. "Holy shit!"
The sharp slap echoed through the room, jolting Li Qiuze and Zhu Houqing from their deep sleep. They both shot up in their beds.
"What happened? What’s wrong?" they shouted in unison.
"No—it’s not that! Look! Old Fourth... Old Fourth is back!" Wang Dalu stammered, pointing at Qin Fan’s bunk as if he’d just seen a ghost.
SWOOSH!
Following Wang Dalu’s finger, Li Qiuze and Zhu Houqing instinctively spun around to look.
"Holy shit!"
"Holy shit!"
The shouts echoed as Li Qiuze vaulted from his top bunk and sprinted over to Qin Fan’s bed.
"What’s with all the racket? Can’t a guy get some sleep this early in the morning?" Qin Fan mumbled with his eyes still closed, like a man talking in his sleep, just before the charging Li Qiuze could speak.
"You son of a bitch!" If he had stayed quiet, it might have been fine, but the moment he spoke, Li Qiuze roughly flipped him over.
"Hey! What are you doing! What gives!" Qin Fan said, opening his eyes with a laugh.
THUD! THUD!
Seeing Qin Fan was awake, Wang Dalu and Zhu Houqing leaped down from their beds in nothing but their boxer shorts and crowded around him.
"Second Brother, serve him the Dog-Head Guillotine!" Li Qiuze roared, his irritation flaring up again at Qin Fan’s nonchalance.
"Hey, what are you, Judge Bao? Am I some kind of criminal? The ’Dog-Head Guillotine,’ really?" Qin Fan retorted, rolling his eyes at them before letting out a yawn.
"Your phone was off! No reply on WeChat! You completely vanished! Old Fourth, do you really think you’re some elusive hero from the Martial World? Do you have any idea? We were this close to filing a missing person report with the police!" Wang Dalu whined, putting on the expression of a scorned wife.
"I took leave with my class advisor! Why the hell would you file a missing person’s report? As for my phone and WeChat, I was somewhere with no signal. Anyway, I’m back now, safe and sound. You guys can relax, right?" Qin Fan said, a wide smile on his face as he got out of bed.
Since his rebirth, he hadn’t actually spent much time with these guys. But for them to be so concerned about his disappearance... frankly, Qin Fan felt a real sense of accomplishment. To be cared for like this was its own reward.
"This wasn’t just a few hours or a day or two. Did you go exploring a cave or something?" Li Qiuze said, completely unconvinced.
"You guessed it! But there’s no prize," Qin Fan replied with a lazy laugh. He really had gone into a cave. It just happened to be one inside Japan’s Mount Fuji.
"Alright, alright! Stop interrogating me like I’m a criminal. I’m gonna go wash up. We can talk later, okay?" With that, Qin Fan slipped out of their circle and headed for the bathroom.
In this moment, Qin Fan finally seemed like the young man whose age was printed on his ID card. It was a side of him he probably only ever showed to these brothers, his parents, and Jiang Yino. Oh, and Aunt Ji and that young lady.
"Holy shit! Huge news! World-shattering news! What the fuck! Japan’s Jingguo Society was burned to the ground? Mount Fuji collapsed? Thousands of soldiers, police, tourists, and civilians from the Jingguo Society were massacred? Mother... fucker! Is this—is this for real?"
Before Qin Fan even came out of the bathroom, Zhu Houqing, who had a habit of turning on his computer right after waking up, shot up from his chair as he saw the news alert pop up.
"What the hell was that?" Li Qiuze, who had been waiting to continue his interrogation, snapped his head around, wondering if he’d misheard.
"No way!" Wang Dalu said, his eyes widening in disbelief.
The Jingguo Society burned down? Mount Fuji collapsed? Thousands of military police, civilians, and tourists slaughtered? Are you fucking kidding me? No, even a movie wouldn’t be this crazy. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Come here, look! It’s a pop-up from Tencent News!" Zhu Houqing exclaimed, pointing at his monitor.
Inside the bathroom, Qin Fan couldn’t help but smile when he heard Zhu Houqing’s outburst. The news breaking was to be expected. The incident was simply too massive. Never mind the Japanese government; no country in the world could have covered it up.
"Holy crap! None of the dead tourists or bystanders were from Huaxia? Not even ethnic Chinese?" Li Qiuze shouted as he leaned in to read the report.
"Does that mean it was done by a hero from our own Huaxia?" Wang Dalu exclaimed, realizing something when he saw the report made no mention of the perpetrator’s identity.
"Second Brother, bypass the firewall! See what the Japanese reports are saying!" Wang Dalu urged after his initial shock.
Without a word, Zhu Houqing sat back down in his chair, quickly opening a program to connect to the foreign internet.
The Yahoo! portal was completely flooded with news about the disaster in Japan. Unlike the domestic news portals, which were silent on the perpetrator’s identity, the foreign news reports were all pointing the finger at people from Huaxia.
Looking at the uniformly translated headlines and connecting the dots with the veiled domestic reports, these intelligent university students were almost certain that the descendants of Yan and Huang were behind this shocking event.
Killing Japanese military police was one thing. The collapse of Mount Fuji could also be explained away. But with no Chinese casualties and the target being the Jingguo Society! Based on that alone, who else could the logical culprit be but someone from Huaxia?
At that thought, the blood in the three animals’ veins began to boil.
Without even bothering to put on pants, still in their boxer shorts, they threw open their dorm room door and ran out onto the balcony.
Facing the Five-Star Red Flag fluttering over the dormitory complex, they began to belt out at the top of their lungs:
"Five-Star Red Flag! You are my pride!"
"Five-Star Red Flag! I am proud of you!"
"I cheer for you, I bless you!"
"Your name is more important than my life!"
As the three animals began to sing, door after door flew open. Dressed or shirtless, students poured out onto the balconies, facing that same flag and joining the chorus. Clearly, it wasn’t just room 708 that had seen the news alerts; many students had.
This time, no one laughed or called the three instigators from dorm 708 idiots. At this moment, with the finger of blame pointed at the people of Huaxia, these passionate youths were filled with a fiery zeal. The Five-Star Red Flag, the burning of the Jingguo Society, the slaughter of the Japanese devils—all of it made their blood surge, filling them with pride in the name of Huaxia!
For a national blood feud like this, revenge is never off the table—it just might be late.
Now, revenge had arrived!
The Jingguo Society had vanished into thin air. Mount Fuji lay in ruins. It was the perfect revenge! If there was any flaw, it was only that too few of the Japanese devils had been killed. There should have been a city-wide massacre, not just a few thousand dead!
In the bathroom of dorm 708, listening to the song that thundered through the entire dormitory area, Qin Fan smiled. It was a smile of deep gratification.
In those roars, he could hear that the passionate blood of the descendants of Yan and Huang would never run cold. In that song, he could hear that the descendants of Yan and Huang would forever be proud of the Five-Star Red Flag.
