THE RISE OF WHITE CONQUEROR
Chapter 91: Level 100
"Then what happens after Level 100"
He paused briefly before correcting himself.
"No... that’s not what I mean."
His eyes fixed firmly on the hazy figure seated upon the throne.
"What’s the end of it all...what’s the peak"
For a brief moment, silence filled the dark expanse.
Then, for the first time since their conversation began, the woman smiled. It wasn’t a grand or dramatic expression. Just a small, faint curve of her lips. And yet, that subtle smile carried an indescribable weight. Then, in the most mundane, matter-of-fact tone imaginable, she answered.
"God."
"...."
For a moment, the world fell silent. Kelly felt his heartbeat suddenly quicken, pounding loudly in his chest. A thin layer of sweat gathered across his forehead before he even realized it. His throat felt dry. He swallowed the saliva he hadn’t noticed he’d been holding, his gaze locking onto the hazy figure before him with intense focus.
The single word she had spoken still echoed in his mind.
’God’
His eyes searched her blurred face, and his face silently urging her to explain further. But instead,
"HAHAHAHA!"
The woman suddenly burst into laughter. The sound echoed loudly across the dark expanse, sharp and unrestrained.
"Seriously, boy... you truly think that"
Her laughter slowly faded, though a mocking tone still lingered in her voice.
"I have never seen someone with such arrogance before. Only fools who possess no knowledge wear that kind of expression."
Her presence seemed to press down on Kelly once again as she continued.
"Boy... do you really believe you can reach the Peak"
Her voice grew colder.
"The realm that only one being from this world has ever attained."
She leaned slightly forward upon her throne, her indistinct gaze fixed upon him.
"You are far too ahead of yourself."
A quiet heaviness settled into her tone.
"I have seen people far more talented, far more ambitious, walk this path... only to fall even harder."
For a brief moment, something different flickered within her voice. Something faintly reminiscent of memory.
"Even the person I admired the most struggled greatly just to take that final step."
Then her voice hardened once more.
"To think you could even aspire toward such a thing..."
A faint scoff escaped her lips.
"...is nothing more than a fool’s arrogance."
Yet Kelly did not react the way she expected. He remained completely unhinged. For a moment, it almost felt as though he wasn’t even present in that dark world anymore. His body stood there, but his mind had already drifted somewhere else. Kelly had never been someone with grand dreams or towering ambitions. Even in his previous world, the thought of wealth, fame, or overwhelming power had never truly excited him. Why? Because deep down, he had always known something. He could never stand at the very top. That simple belief had followed him throughout his life. And even after arriving in this new world, that feeling had never really changed. Of course, that didn’t mean he disliked power. On the contrary He loved it. He loved the sensation of growing stronger. The thrill that ran through his body after every brutal training session. The exhilaration he felt whenever he gained a new level, when his strength increased just a little more than before. That feeling of improvement, of pushing himself further than yesterday it was intoxicating.
But that was all it had ever been. Because in the end, Kelly believed something else just as firmly. Just like in his previous world, this one also followed a system. No matter how much effort he put in, no matter how strong he became, he could never truly escape that structure. There would always be countless others standing at the same height as him. No matter how far he climbed there would always be many more just as strong.
But now...After hearing that single word...Something inside him changed. The power of a God. The very concept itself ignited something deep within his chest. After all,
Who wouldn’t feel excited after learning such a thing existed...Who wouldn’t be thrilled knowing that the possibility was there...That there was a chance, no matter how small.
For the first time in both worlds... For the first time in his entire life Kelly Kamimura finally set a true ambition for himself. A goal that towered above everything else. He would pursue Godhood.
’I finally understand...’
Kelly’s thoughts churned rapidly.
’Why those bastards were so strict about our environment.’
The realization settled heavily in his mind.
’They were controlling information at the highest level possible... making sure all of us stayed dependent on them’
His jaw tightened.
’Because they knew about our potential’
A faint irritation burned within him.
’That damn Pope’
Meanwhile, the woman observed him quietly from her throne.
Despite Kelly completely ignoring her earlier words, she did not grow angry. If anything, she seemed amused. There was something oddly entertaining about watching the storm of thoughts raging behind his eyes. Time passed. Eventually, Kelly’s internal rambling subsided. He lifted his head once more and looked directly toward the hazy woman seated upon the throne. But this time, something about him had changed.
The hesitation that once lingered in his gaze was gone. In its place burned something far stronger...Ambition. His voice, when he finally spoke, carried far more firmness and certainty than before.
"How..."
Kelly paused briefly, his eyes locking onto her indistinct figure.
"...does one become a god"
If someone else from Kelly’s previous world had been standing here, the situation might have unfolded very differently. Some would have immediately argued with the woman, rejecting her claims outright. Others might have laughed in disbelief at the very mention of something as unrealistic as a god. There would have been endless debates. Some might have believed her and clung even more tightly to the religion they already followed. Others would have stubbornly insisted that science was the only real truth in the universe. And, of course, there would have been a few fools who would have immediately labelled her a devil.
